*20 Minutes Later*

It was twenty minutes later that Zane finally pulled to a stop in front of a gorgeous house ghat looked like it belonged to a king.

"Are we at the right place?" Maddy asked.

"Baby just cause'the last time you saw me I was ratchet as all hell don't mean I haven't climbed up the ladder a lil' bit." Zane winked,  getting out of the car. 

Maddy and her friends all followed along and trailed behind Zane as he walked up to the front door of the house. He knocked twice before it was opened by a tall, handsome man with black hair, tanned skin, and a smile that'd make any girl's heart melt.

The man introduced himself and said that his name was Todd (A/N y'all been knew by the description I gave you😜). All the girls except Madeleine ogled at the man and jumped at the chance to walk into the house with him, leaving her and Zane behind.

Zane caught a glimpse of the anxiety that was in Maddy's eyes and put a hand on her shoulder.

"Baby, what's wrong?"

"Nothing, I just get nervous when I have to meet new people." She sheepishly responded, looking towards he house full of girls and boys.

"Well you've got nothin' to worry about, I'll introduce you to some peeps, and it shouldn't be you that's nervous, it should be everyone else, because you're my boss as bitch who doesn't take shit from nobody!" Zane joked, flipping his imaginary long hair.

Maddy laughed to herself and nodded as Zane guided her into the house. The house was half chaotic and half calm. Todd was chasing a bearded man around with what looked, and sounded like a tazer in his hand while a tall brown-haired boy filmed it, letting out a maniacal laugh. All while a couple of other boys were playing pool ignoring the whole debacle between the others.

Instead of questioning it, Maddy continued walking with Zane. Zane stopped when he reached a circle of girls. They were all gathered around each other talking about whatever, some with drinks in their hands. Zane poked the shoulder of a short platinum blonde-haired girl and she swiftly turned around.

"Ladies," Zane started, "this is my best bitch Maddy."

Instead of the girls judging her and shooting her dirty looks, they all smiled and introduced themselves. By the time the introductions were over, Maddy had met, Erin, Carly, Corinna, Kristen, and Mariah. Minute by minute, Madeleine felt less anxious and more comfortable.

"ZANE'S NOT GAY! ZANE'S NOT GAY!" Someone shouted.

All the girls turned to who it was and saw that a tall and muscular platinum blonde man had raised his beer up in the air and was smiling like a madman. Maddy spotted Zane with his arms up in the air with frustration.

"Scott. Shut up." One of the girls said, shaking her head.

"I'm sorry, that's my boyfriend Scott." Kristen explained.

"Totally fine." Maddy grinned, "Please let me know who's boyfriend is who's so I can tell my friends that they are OFF LIMITS, because God knows what they're planning." Maddy says.

The girls laughed and pointed to each of their boyfriends.

"Well, the one who's being chased by a tazer is my boyfriend Heath." Mariah said.

"That over there is my boyfriend Bruce." Carly says, pointing to one of the boys playing pool.

"My man isn't here tonight, but his name is TJ." Erin shrugged.

"And my dog Karl is pretty much my boyfriend." Corinna smiled.

Maddy nodded with a smile, and the few conversed for another minute before she felt a poke on her shoulder. She turned around to see the same brown-haired boy who was filming the tazer fight that had somehow ended without her knowing.

He shot Maddy a soft smile and said "I'm guessing you're Maddy?"

She grinned as she realized she was talking to Zane's friend David.

"Correct, and I'm guessing you're David?" Maddy smiled back.

He nodded with a smile and shook my hand.

"Jesus Christ, who shakes hands anymore? Hug her you dumbass!" Zane exclaimed from the couch.

Both of us, including the girls, jerked our heads in his direction with a mixture of confused, angry, and annoyed looks.

"Okay, my bad." Zane sheepishly said, holding both his hands up in surrender. We eventually started laughing along with the girls.

"Well, we're gonna leave you two to get to know each other, and I'm gonna go get drunk as fast as I can." Corinna explained.

I shook my head and let them head off. They were all walking in the same direction but before Erin could walk away, she came up close and whispered in my ear, "Have fun." She wiggled her eyebrows at me and laughed as I felt my cheeks turn pink. I elbowed her and she walked off.

I rolled my eyes and focused myself back on David.

We started out with the horrible small-talk everyone hates, but after that, we started talking about our lives and everything that sounded relevant.

*3 Hours Later*

Instead of socializing with everyone like I'd wanted and planned to do for the rest of the night, I spent all that time talking to David. He was actually good to talk to. I looked down at my watch and saw that it was close to eleven.

"Damn, time flies when you're having fun." David smiled.

"And not being chased around with a tazer." I joke.

The two of us laughed and started to head back inside. When we got back in, I saw that Zane, Emma, Valerie, and Olivia were dead asleep as well as a few others.

"Are you fucking kidding me?" I groaned.

I caught David smiling out of my peripheral vision.

"Ugh, well this is terrible." I frown, plopping myself down onto a beanbag. Heath and Mariah were sleeping in each others arms right next to me and I made sure not to make any more noise than I had before. Todd was sleeping in a very uncomfortable looking position with Emma being right on top of him.
