Saved

Liu Wei got dressed and ate the breakfast that was delivered to her room as soon as she stepped out of the shower. What a thoughtful man, he had everything well prepared and pampered her even when he wasn't around. She loved this sweet side to him, I mean what girl wouldn't. To be taken care of by such a hunk and made love to until your knees gave way.. she still had butterflies thinking about last nights activities.

After her breakfast she decided to explore the city, she figured since it was her first time being in a foreign land she needs to take advantage of it. She wore clothes that were comfortable, which consisted of a blue distressed jeans with ripped designs on the knees and a white v-neck t-shirt with a baseball cap. She made sure to bring a camera with her as she loved to take pictures. It was a hobby of hers from her previous life, she had many beautiful pictures that used to hang in her families home.

She found it ironic that Liu Wei was a model whom everyone took pictures of and here she was behind the camera instead. She mostly liked taking pictures of the landscape, beautiful sceneries and buildings.

As she was walking along the street she saw a beautiful sculpture, so she whipped out her camera and began taking shots. Just then a bunch of people were walking out of a limousine, there were a handful of them and it seemed to be a high profile person being escorted. She was only a few feet away from them when they walked past her when she noticed a shadow on the ground.

It looked to be someone's head and a rifle, so she looks up and sure enough there was a man up there with a sniper rifle. He had it aimed at the man in the middle of the group. She heard the mechanism of the gun working as soon as the snipers fingers pulled the trigger. She quickly turns and runs over to the group of men, only to barrel into the person who was the main target and tackles him to the ground. As she did so, she screamed at everyone to get down on the ground.

They both hit the pavement and Liu Wei quickly rolls with the man to confuse the sniper. The bullet misses by an inch and it hit one of the men on the leg. He screams and quickly goes down on the ground holding his leg. There were so many things happening that a normal bystander would have been lost. But Liu Wei saw it all, the other men quickly pulled out their own guns and aimed it at her.

"You idiots the sniper is on top of the building." She screamed at the bodyguards.

One bodyguard looks up and sure enough he sees the man about to take another shot. He screams "sniper! run for cover"

Liu Wei nudges the man whom she saved and drags him up "hurry up before you die in this open area." She grabs his hand and starts running towards one of the building and as she was running she listened to the sound of the gun. She dodged every single bullet and made it inside the building safely, the man looked at her in gratitude. He was shaking and frazzled but he still was thankful, her impression of him went up.

"Thank you so much!! young lady what is your name?"

Liu Wei looked at the man and noticed that he was around her father's age. He seemed like he was some sort of diplomat by his entourage and his expensive suit. Or perhaps a business man? She wasn't sure.

"Hello uncle, my name is Liu Wei. You must have pissed off some people to want you dead." She said.

He chuckles.. "how did you know that there was a sniper up on the roof?"

"I saw his shadow"

The uncle was befuddled but thanked his lucky stars that he was able to bump into such a capable young lady. Just then a few of his entourage reached them and started gathering around him to form a protective barrier.

"Miss step away and come with us" One man who looked to be in charge said to her. She simply nodded and followed them to a conference room nearby.

After awhile it was revealed that the important business man was non other than the Mayor of Nanjing. After being interrogated by several men at the same time, Liu Wei was finally cleared as someone who was "not a threat." Most people would have probably peed their pants at the intensity of which she was questioned but not Liu Wei. She calmly and obligingly answered all of their questions without getting offended.

Of course the leader still had his reservations because he was one of the best and he barely even heard the bullet or saw the man. You would have to be a super human to have known when the sniper pulled the trigger. He decided to keep his eyes on her just incase she was working with sniper.

Liu Wei wanted to continue her sight seeing so she got up and started walking towards the exit, just then the Mayor called her over.

"Miss would you like a job as my bodyguard?" He was dead serious, he had many people who wanted him in a body bag. They were mostly people who were corrupt and wasn't able to bribe him into looking the other way. This Mayor to the dismay of many of the bad inhabitants of Nanjing was incorruptible.

"I'm sorry sir but I currently have my hands full with my two businesses. I don't have time to be a bodyguard and I've never been one before."

She tried to sound sad about it so that he wouldn't feel so bad that he got rejected.

"Two businesses? oh what do you own?" He was thinking along the lines of maybe a restaurant or something small. But when she named the two businesses he was flabbergasted. They were very influential businesses and he finally recognized who she was.

"Oh my, are you Liu Wei? the former model who is taking over the business world by storm?! This is amazing, I can't believe I was saved by such a talented individual and you are even more beautiful in person." What a capable young woman he thought, he must keep her acquaintance.

Liu Wei only smiled at him and tried to leave again.

"Wait before you go, promise to have dinner with me tonight. As a thank you for saving my life, you would at least allow me to treat you, right? This old man would be embarrassed if people found out that I didn't even properly thank you"

Poor Liu Wei just wanted to go and sight see but this Mayor wouldn't let her leave until he got what he wanted. In the Mayors mind he was ready to hand his oldest son to this amazing girl. He was practically imagining the wedding in his head. So he definitely could and would not allow her to go without seeing her in a more pleasant setting. If he brought along his son that would be nice as well, who knows they might hit it off.
