Chapter 196 - Gabriella And Aurolana

"Wake up!"

"Wake up!"

"Zeel, please wake up!"

Zeel stirred uncomfortably floating in the air above his stasis pod.

"I SAID WAKE UP!"

Suddenly, an intense headache assaulted his young mind. Zeel's eyes shot open instantly as he examined his surroundings.

He swiftly urged his nanites to attempt connection to whatever network exists but found them inert.

Zeel was appalled, how could Immortal Nanites not work in Universe 0 – The Homo-Superior Universe.

Yes, Zeel was currently 5 years old, though he appeared 15 years old at the very least.

Zeel examined the space he was currently in, the strange liquids slowly drifted from his body.

Zeel recognized the powerful anesthesia but paid it no mind. The last thing he could recall was the intense need to survive, then …

"That's right, I killed mother," Zeel murmured, but there was no fluctuation in his emotions.

He was considering his options at the moment, but more information was required to make a decision.

Zeel remembered that there were two voices in his head attempting to wake him up earlier, but now there was absolute silence.

He had the vague impression that the voices were familiar, but could not think about who they were.

Feeling that no answers were about to be revealed anytime soon, Zeel simply waited for whoever, or whatever to intervene.

Similar cases to Zeel's were occurring all over the Unknown Planet. Children between the ages of one to five tera-years stirred awake in their respective spaces.

Universe 0 was not like other Universes, almost all beings in this Universe were all-powerful.

Age played little importance since most Beings could alter their bodies to suit any age in their lifespan.

Of course, kids were still kids in the end, even if the kids were all-powerful.

They were too young to yet understand their abilities fully. Diamonds in the rough that would not shine anytime soon.

This was why whoever was running the Unknown Planet had little concern of escape.

Dampeners and Jammers surrounded the entire planet, none of the kids could truly display their abilities.

"Ding! Ding! Ding!"

Three dings were heard by all of those awake, then a Sentient (20th Generation Artificial Intelligence) spoke through the medium available in all spaces "All participants are required to follow the light down the hall and into the dining area,"

"You have 132 Tera-Seconds to reach the dining area. Those unable to proceed as indicated will be eliminated with great prejudice," The Sentient said.

Zeel wasted no time floating down from his Stasis Pod and exiting the space through a nearby spatial distortion.

Zeel followed the light, slowly observing all that was happening around him.

Likewise, all those who exited their room also inspected those around them while following their respective lights.

Suddenly, Zeel paused and turned his gaze left to see the girl that was staring at him.

They both eyed each other for a while, neither saying anything but a conversation occurred with their eyes nonetheless.

The Apollonian girl stared at Zeel curiously, but soon Aurolana turned her gaze away.

She felt that the Homo-Superior was below her race, and also below her status.

However, not one to leave anything to chance, Aurolana walked normally until small golden lights enveloped her body.

By the time Zeel turned back sensing the energy displacement, Aurolana was next to him, walking on a light path that previously belonged to a Zolotalian boy.

The Zolotalian boy swiftly found himself on Aurolana's previous light path but quickly adjusted.

The boy gave Aurolana a stink eye, but she simply returned a playful smile.

Zeel could tell that the Apollonian girl had a pride not inferior to himself.

Still, Zeel found something suspicious, why specifically the path next to himself? Codes flickered through his eyes, Zeel began examining the golden paths they walked on.

Even if his nanites were inert, Homo-Superiors were innately technological beings.

They could manipulate any form of technology available, and their calculation ability was unrivaled amongst races.

Aurolana no longer paid Zeel any attention, instead, she turned her eyes to the golden paths that kept moving, twisting, traveling at vectors difficult to track.

The Golden Paths were not stagnant, but always moving and changing – going up, down, diagonally, twisting, jumping gaps.

"It's a game," Zeel said to Aurolana.

"It is a game most Homo-Superiors play as kids; it is called Dimensional Collapse – the paths change color faintly between infinite shades of gold. You have to determine the correct path using Gauge Invariance, as they move at photon particle-speeds,"

Aurolana glanced at Zeel and quickly averted her eyes as if he was not worthy of her gaze.

"It is true what they say about your race – Intelligent Mass Murderers," Aurolana complimented but her eyes had golden glows looking at the paths.

True to Zeel's previous statement, the Golden Paths of certain Races began to collapse. It was a Dimensional Collapse, hence the name of the game.

Zeel was busy paying attention to his path to care about anyone else.

Golden lights surrounded Aurolana as she jumped from one Golden Path to the next, but Zeel simply stared at his own path, codes flickering across his pupil.

It was as if all paths were merged into Zeel's path, and all he had to do was choose the path that would lead to his eventual survival.

After all, in Dimensional Collapse, there were only three paths that guaranteed your survival.

Screams echoed in the background as participants were killed one by one. Zeel briefly glanced back at the exact moment Aurolana glanced forward.

Their eyes met once more but this time no conversation took place.

Aurolana averted her gaze and was about to flicker once more, but she stopped and stared at a certain girl.

She looked confused for a moment but ultimately decided to mind her own business.

The girl Aurolana glanced at also saw Aurolana looking at her.

For a moment she was thrilled, Aurolana was obviously strong, maybe she could get Aurolana to help her finish this task?

After all, she was a Homo –Willorous. They were known to be the weakest race in Universe 0, they were a branch that separated from Homo-Superior lineage before evolution.

Homo-Willorous were just humans granted a special name because they had a strong will to resist the temptations of powers in a Universe saturated with powerful beings.

It was said that Homo-Willorous had the will of demons in their bodies.

Gabriella stared at Aurolana in the distance, her eyes bulged at Aurolana, hoping to get Aurolana's intervention so she could survive.

Gabriella had already decided to hug the thighs of someone powerful and it only took one glance from Aurolana for Gabriella to decide the most suitable thighs to hug.

Zeel also glanced at the Homo-Willorous girl but quickly turned around in a nanosecond.

The intense heated look she was giving Aurolana was enough for him to decide not to associate with her.

Before you assume that I skipped a couple of chapters, just know that this arc will be entirely of my own creation like the Energone Universe.

This will fill in some of the gaps in Zeel's childhood experiences.

Just think of it as an Arc of Flash Backs, but not everything is as it seems and you will see that when the arch concludes.

Can't wait to see what happens?

Then just join my Patrons..
