Mikael moved into the circle of Amorcelli siblings and they each greeted him with a warm smile. They even patted him on the back one after another.
At the same time, they also deliberately stepped aside to let him through until he was already standing next to Santina.
They urged him to sit next to her so the two of them could watch the hourly newsbreak together. All of them knew well enough that the two needed to hear the news more than anyone else in the house.
' The suspect is believed to be behind the killing of several young boys in the dumpsite specific at District 12. The alleged notorious killer was also said to leave his victims badly mutilated before disposing it to the said dumpsite. Bureau officials said that they purposely did not release details of the previous murders to avoid a panic in the community.'
The newscaster reported and soon after the camera focused on Daniel's heavily-foundation face.
"Look at his hair all perm into a curl as well as his thick makeup. Is he attending a press conference or an audition???"
Mikael commented with a sneer.
"Just let him be, Kel."
Santina chastised as she gestured him to listen closely instead to what the other party was about to say next.
"Our in-house investigators were truly excellent at having their job done. Actually they should get the credits instead of me."
Daniel said in his interview.
"Do you think they got the right one???"
Mikael leaned closer to Santina and whispered to her. The other party on the other hand replied in the same manner and murmured.
"I do hope so."
Then she rested her back at her seat and exhaled an exasperated sigh.
"For everyone's sake, I really hope so."
She added afterward with her eyes close.
After that short preview of Daniel's interview, the newscaster came back on the air to say that the full scoop of the story would be broadcast during the late evening news. But neither of them was listening anymore.
Mikael left Santina's house at around 11 o'clock because he and the other Amorcelli siblings had a lot to catch up, especially since Andrew and Selene just got home from abroad.
The couple sure had a lot of fun stories to tell to the point that Mikael almost forgot to mind the time and he ended up staying longer than he originally intended.
The family even offered to have him stay in one of their guest room, but Mikael refused them kindly. He preferred going back to his own dorm and sleep in the comfort of his bed.
Truth be told, Mikael was actually a light sleeper.
He slept at a dorm together with the other deacons like him and at any time in the night, he could tell if any of them were awake or had left their quarter.
His ears could pick up any tiny details especially during the night when everything else was dark; starting from the voices, down to the opening and closing of the door.
In fact, Mikael could even tell when someone was flushing the toilet down the hall and even the changes in the temperature were not able to escape his notice.
The other party found it quite disturbing at first, but over time, he had grown used to it. Santina even found this trait of his rather amusing because there were times when he was known to answer questions or joined conversations of other people in the same room, despite him being in the middle of his slumber.
Often times, Santina would actually entertain herself by asking the sleeping Mikael with her out of the box questions.
Mikael was not exactly sure if it was about stress, but he found himself unable to sleep on that particular night. After watching the interview that Daniel had regarding the alleged notorious killer of District 12, the other party had been relentless.
