"By the way, my name is Daniel Sapiro."

The other party introduced himself to Anton as he extended his arm again for a handshake. Showing his well-manicured nails that were covered in a coat of sheer polish.

As if on reflex, Anton accepted his handshake right away but regretted it soon after because Daniel gave his hand a light squeeze and for some reason, it made him feel uncomfortable.

As such, the young man hurriedly pulled his hand away from the other party's grasp, However, the way Daniel looked at him afterward only made him cringe from the inside. As the other party was eyeing him with an air of seduction. 

"Errr???"

The young man could not help but twitch his face upon seeing this and when he looked at his two other companions to seek for support, he saw them eyeing him with pity instead as if they had already expected for that to happen.

When Anton saw their reaction, it was only then that realization finally dawned on him.

Initially, Anton indeed found it weird when he saw Daniel for the first time.

The other party was wearing a scarf around his neck although it was not exactly cold, to begin with, if anything, it was even humid outside. Then aside from that, he also had this elaborate coif wrapped around his head.

However thinking that it was only maybe due to the other party's out of the box sense of fashion, the young man tried to not pay it much of his heed. But, this time, it now made more sense to him and it was as though everything was slowly falling into places.

Put it together with Daniel's vividly dyed hair that almost took the shade of raspberry red, to which was also permed into a curl on top of that; as well as the expertly applied layer of foundation on his face, everything became clear to Anton now.

Daniel's get up was indeed screaming of his gender preference and most likely than not, he took a liking at Anton. After all, it was a given that the young man indeed had a face that suited the title of a 'Matinee Idol'.

On the other hand, Mikael and Santina managed to recognize Daniel within just a single glance because the other party also happened to be the head lawyer of the National Investigation Team. 

Officer Aragon told them beforehand that they were about to meet someone from the high office but they did not expect it to be actually the head lawyer.

The chief of the police probably wanted them to meet the other party so they could rope him into their case as well.

In that way, they would also have a high chance of gaining more resources to make their investigation a lot better and easier.

"Hmmm... this is a very interesting lead... all very interesting.."

Daniel said in his half-assed tone while nodding his head and flipping through the pages of the report that Mikael handed him.

But from the current look of it, it did not seem that the other party was actually taking anything in, if any, it even seemed that he was not taking them seriously!

His eyes only skimmed through the pages as he flipped on them so unless he had a photographic memory, there was no way he would understand a thing from the written report that they handed him.

But seeing this kind of response from him, it did not come as a surprise to the two anymore. Daniel had long made a reputation for himself as being a fame whore, so cases like the one they were currently working at was obviously not his thing.

Daniel often appeared on television and so he loved to partake only in cases that he could actually talk about; all for the sake of media exposure of course. Such as those that involved high profile officials and their alleged participation in drug trafficking.

Recently, he even appeared on late-night news. His interview regarding the recent kidnapping case of a famous celebrity aired on TV and maybe it was actually due to that same reason why he had his hair styled lately.

Truth be told, his fascination with these kinds of cases was actually indirectly affecting Santina's investigation as well.

Due to the recent attention and media exposure that he was gaining lately, Daniel had grown more audacious to the point that he even took the initiative to divert resources and manpower of the national investigation team towards these cases of his that he was so fascinated about and this became even more apparent when Officer Aragon flew overseas due to personal matters.

This as a result robbed them of an opportunity to request additional funds from Officer Aragon.
