Eli was taken back by this God's appearance, due to this he guessed this was the God of war. This God's face was that of a typical battle hardened warrior, his features hardened and unlike the other God besides him he seemed to have an aura of raw menacing power.
Seeing the war loving God had arrived the Supreme Being took his leave, disappearing in the blink of an eye, also taking with him his cup of green tea.
"I have been longing for this day to finally meet you Eli" He spoke softly. "I doubt I can fix the chasm between us but I, Sigmund Yan have always watched over you." He pronounced full of pride.
This name... This name sounded familiar Eli thought. "Sigmund, Sigmund, Sigmund..." If he was correct this person before him was his father. He remembered how his mother used to speak fondly of him, the times she asked of him not to harbor ill thoughts towards his father.
Now that he was finally in-front of the person who had abandoned both of them at a crucial time, he thought, he hoped that a sliver of emotion to express how he felt would slip out. Instead he felt nothing towards Sigmund not an ill thought or any other emotion for that matter.
Sigmund the God of war had been expecting a barrage of insults but was surprised to see no reaction from his son at all. Neither anger, sadness nor any trace of emotion appeared on Eli's face. Just calculating gaze that drunk in his father's features. He visibly winced at the fact that he had no impact on Eli at all to justify an emotional reaction from him.
Sigmund had a little goatee accompanied with a short military style haircut and his most striking feature of all: his pure crimson red eyes.
"Eli? Anything you want to ask?" He asked after momentarily collecting himself.
Eli took a hazard guess at why Sigmund may have left their lives. He sighed to himself why was he some calm? In the end he decided to ask why Sigmund left at the time he did.
"I left so that i may attend to my responsibilities as the God of war. I wanted to stay I truly did but my responsibilities as a God came before my emotional needs. If I had stayed a while longer after you were born I would've never left." He spoke with pain in his voice.
Eli acknowledged this and understood this decision had not come lightly.
"Did you love her? Did u treat her well while you were with her?." Eli already knew from his mother's account how Sigmund treated her but he wanted to hear this personally from Sigmund's lips.
Sigmund expressed sorrow on his face before responding. "She was always at the fore-front of my mind Eli." He didn't know what to say next since he wasn't great at expressing emotion through words. He smiled as he re-encountered a memory from their time together. "That's why i spend most of my time with her, here in the heavens, cherishing every moment."
When Eli heard his father say this, he was satisfied. His mother was finally reunited with him and it only took death to bring them together, which was ironic in a sense since people take vows that can only be broken by death.
Akira (who's full name was Akira Eichi.) was one of the few things he valued, for a God to say such a thing especially one such as this was very rare indeed.
"Eli I know i wasn't apart of your life but I had always observed you. How you choose to spend your life is your choice but weren't you ever interested in achieving something." Sigmund spoke with a concerned tone.
"Sigmund... Dad" Eli momentarily paused when he said 'dad' it sounded weird since he had never had someone to call dad. To Sigmund though being called dad was like honey to his ears. "Dad this act of yours doesn't suit your personality" Eli flashed a quick smile at his dad, hoping the joke would go well with him. (A bad one at that.)
Sigmund laughed out loud when he heard him say this.
"So what exactly is this place?"
"This is just a place in between places it would take me a while to explain this matter and am not well versed in it. Eli normally once a person dies they would be guided to a judgement hall without having the privilege of meeting me or the God of Gods."
He got up and walked over to Eli. He tapped his fingers and a chair appeared besides him to which he sat in. "You on the other hand are special, since you're my offspring. I wanted to both meet and gift you a token of my love. I've already got your judgement to be reincarnation. Granted i broke the rules by having an offspring or falling in love in the first place."
"What kind of gift?" Eli responded, the word gift took the attention of his ears.
"I have seen the world you are to be reborn in and thought that I would gift u immense power, so that you would never have to die pathetically like you did."
Pathetically... wouldn't be the word he would have used for his failed attempt at fighting, but it was appropriate, Eli thought in agreement. However, what kind of world was he about to be reincarnated into that his father was confident in lending him such strength.
"Maybe you could create your own legacy and spread your name on this world. Plus you would be one of the strongest beings on this world."
Eli asked Sigmund; "What powers will i be getting exactly?" to which he got a reply "I will leave that to you to discover." as he chuckled.
He then placed out his palm and a crystallized shard, diamond shaped, purple in colour appeared in the God's palm.
It begun to float off from his palm to Eli as it slowly drifted to him. It then slowly started entering his chest as Eli was powerless to do anything about it, it was painless but still uncomfortable.
"Be warned Eli you are not invincible. Make sure you don't die." He spoke with a serious tone.
This tone was then replaced to that of excitement, when he begun telling Eli how to activate his power. "As for activating the huge amount of power u will have at your disposal all you have to do is access the 'Damnation Shard' artifact it will be the source of your power, the source of your power is the shard."
"And how do I go about doing that?" Eli asked.
The God smiled. "It will come as naturally as breathing. Be warned though you will notice a condition that will take form with persistent usage. I would recommend meditation to stave it off, it would be the most effective method." As he nodded his head in agreement with what he just said.
"Are you not willing to tell me what it is or do you not know?" Eli asked his Dad when he said this.
"Where is the fun in telling you? It's more fun in finding out yourself." His Dad smiled when he said this.
Eli wanted to express his displeasure, but what could he do? In-front of him was a literal God he doubted anything he said would sway him.
Eli was now really curious about what world he was being reborn in. The God touched on other subjects hoping to converse more with his son.
The God looked on into the distance as he sighed. "Our time is at an end." As he turned to look back at Eli. "I will always be watching." trying to look emotional.
Sigmund looked at him with his piercing gaze. "Drink the tea in-front of you my son, your destiny awaits."
Eli said his thanks to his father and drank the tea, and when he did his is vision faded to black.
Added in some extra information regarding the condition's first appearence i speak about later on.
