This bond with Lucifer, it's not like the one they shared in their first five life times. There is something sinister about it, and there is a voice in her head telling her it's wrong. 'I need to discuss Aki-san's issue with Eli first. He definitely knows a lot more than he has told me.'

But before then, she ought to check up on 'him.'

'Lex?'

'Yes. my heart?'

He responded far too quickly there.

'I won't be able to meet you this week, since I'll be busy. Will I be okay?'

'You shall be if you feed from Toh, and take the new medication I handed over to Nagawa.'
