Keela (4)

I wake up from my glorious dream, and swiftly get ready by running a brush through my hair, and changing into a cozy-fitting red shirt and a tight short skirt. I begin smiling at the thought that I will get to see John today, and ride the bus with him. I get to see him before his stupid girlfriend Marie does. In one swift movement I grab my phone, my backpack, and the book with all the school rules and information. Leaving my room I see my mom walked in the front door after her night shift at the hospital. She goes straight to her room as I begin making breakfast for Cree and Aziel. We eat quickly and head toward the bus stop. John arrives shortly after with his two younger sisters who he introduces as Celeste and Kaylen. After Cree, Aziel, Celeste, and Kaylen get on their busses John and I get on our bus and sit together in front of Ian and Kate. The whole 2 hour bus drive to the school we talk about the classes and I told him that Tom was coming to our school, and he seemed upset when Tom was mentioned even though he doesn't know I'm planning on getting back with Tom, just so Marie will get off my back.

Immediately after we got inside the school Tom appeared and I showed him around and told him I was so happy that he wanted to fix things and that I would happily date him again. The bell rang shortly after and Tom walked me to geometry and left moments after giving me a quick kiss on the forehead. Walking in geometry I see Ian and Kate and gladly ask if I could join them. Behind me John says that it would be fine if I joined them all.

"Did he see Tom kiss me? Does he not care that he hasn't even met Tom?" These questions flood my mind before I remember that he has Marie, she is his world, and no other girl (who isn't family) matters to him.

After telling the others goodbye I leave the class and walk to humanities with Desiree. The day goes well until lunch when Marie and Kate invite Tom and I to sit with them, John, and Ian. Near the end of lunch Marie, Kate and I go to throw the trash from our lunch away, Tom leaves for his Spanish class, and John and Ian began talking. On our way back Marie tells me to back off of Tom and John because they are hers. WTH?! I think to myself she so didn't tell me to back off MY boyfriend! Kate then whispers to me "Don't tell John or Ian but Marie has another boyfriend, Jacob, he's in our biology class." "No promises" I curse under my breath.

The rest of my day I'm furious that Marie would do that to John and do the bare minimum until I get to orchestra. When I get to orchestra we unpack and tune our instruments before heading to the gym where we will practice for the day. When in the gym, I am asked to play the most difficult song I know by memory to determine if I'm in the right class or if I need to move down a class. The first song to come to mind was a song my grandpa had taught me my 4th year playing the violin, he had passed away 3 years ago and I play the songs he had taught me when I was younger to get through tough times. I played the violin part of Love Story composed by Orquesta Filarmonica de Yalta by memory to prove that I was good enough to be in the top class. After a few notes I became totally lost in the music and forgot that there where other people around me. I didn't even realize when the top band and choir students and their teachers walked in alongside the other orchestra students that were in other classes.

After playing I opened my eyes to see 80+ students and a few teachers starting at me and applauding. I have never felt so nervous to be in front of so many people, so I smiled and bowed before bolting back to the orchestra class to put away my violin. After putting it away the class came back and we did a get to know each other activity before the bell rang. Going into the hallway people still applauded and told me I was a wonderful violinist, a rushed to get on the bus so that people would stop talking to me about it.... but after getting on the bus I saw John who asked me why I didn't mention being able to play the violin.

After explaining that it was my grandpa who had taught me and how sometimes it made me sad that he couldn't see me now, playing for him, John understood and told me of how his dad had taught him to play the drums but since his dad passed away it hasn't been the same.

Love Story by Orquesta Filarmonica de Yalta is a lovely piece of music. If you don’t know what it is, you should listen to it, so that you can grasp a better understanding of how talented Keela is.
