Chapter 11: Amateurs

"When can we have our fun with them?" one of the gangsters asked impatiently.

"We must wait for them to wake up, that way it will be more entertaining to conquer them." The leader says loudly and then leads the men out of the room while they wait for the girls to rouse.

As soon as the door is shut, Serenity's eyes pop open, her head is throbbing, but she ignores the pain as she sees Melody is right next to her.

'This silly girl could have ran away, but she came back for me.' I think as my eyes darken with anger at who could have done this.

I want to reach out to Melody, but I notice my hands and ankles have been tied together.

Shit. I wiggle around quietly until I feel the pocket knife I kept tucked in my booties.

Grabbing it awkwardly, I manage to cut my ropes and as I turn back to help Melody, I almost scream when I find she is also awake and had a knife she used to cut herself free.

"Looks like we are more alike than we thought," Melody whispers with a smile.

"Thank you for staying with me." I say genuinely grateful to not have to be in this situation alone.

She nods as we both stand up to see what situation we are in and look for a weapon we can use to defend ourselves when they come back.

"There were 6 men in the van and a driver, but I think I heard more footsteps when they brought us in here." Melody quietly tells me.

"I counted a total of 16 different footsteps. I am not as strong right now as I am still recovering from a month long coma, but I'll be damned if I let those perverts touch us." I say seriously in disgust.

"If we can do this in a way where we don't alarm them all at once, I think we can fend for ourselves long enough until my brothers men can find us." Melody says.

"I agree. I also sent my brother a text so he should be here soon with how obsessed he is with me." I say seriously.

"Your brother is like that too! We really are fated to be bestfriends!" she says happily.

I hand her a metal stick I found lying around and grab another one as she hides behind some boxes in a corner and I hide near the door.

"I heard something, go check the girls." Someone yells from outside.

The door opens and a guy comes and shuts the door behind him and looks at the place where we are supposed to be and when he doesn't see us he is about to turn around to call more people when I smacked him in the head with the metal pole and winced when I heard the crack of a skull as he fell to the ground with a thud.

Shit, I must have used more strength than planned. I didn't think I had that much in me, oh well.

I hurriedly grab the gun from his body and smirk when I see the silencer on it and then grab the large knife at his side.

I toss the gun to Melody who upon catching it smiles like a kid in a candy store all excited.

Seeing her reaction, I can't help but shake my head and sigh as I get back into position because if those idiots didn't manage to hear the thud from there friend falling, I know they will send more people in to check the situation when he doesn't come out.

As if hearing my thoughts the door burst open and 3 more guys walk in.

One guy was a bit smart as he saw his buddy's body on the ground and unfortunately turned to see me, but like I said it was unfortunate for him because before he could make another move toward me I had already made my move and split his throat with the knife in my hand.

It wasn't as smooth as I was hoping though as it ended up really messy and covered my favorite white top, which was already dirty from what we had been through, in blood.

Dahm, now I can't even hope to wash it clean.

Distracted at my top, I kicked his already limp body that had fallen to the floor while clutching his throat. 'Rude, that shirt was $300. If I knew you would get it so dirty, I would have made you pay first.'

Melody just stares at me from her corner with her mouth open as if to say shameless like she knew what I was thinking.

I just look at her like I am innocent and point to my messy shirt.

She shakes her head at me and then suddenly she aims the gun and my mind flashed images of being shot by Arabella causing me to freeze and pale as Melody pulls the trigger and the bullet lands in the head of the guy who was sneaking up behind me.

I shake myself out of the flashback as I stare at the guy, dead on the floor behind me and mouth thank you to her before we both look at the third guy who came in with them, who just stands there with his mouth open, shocked.

Idiot, I think as Melody apparently decides to spare him my messy killing and just shoots him.

Before more people come I just quickly raid their bodies for treasures, I take all their cash out of their wallets, not surprised these guys carry hundreds of dollars. I guess they can think of this as repayment for my shirt and our emotional trauma.

I found another knife and a gun. I keep the gun this time, and I was absolutely dumbfounded to find they actually sent an idiot with a grenade in to us.

I hold up the small grenade and smirk at Melody who just shakes her head sighs and mouths "idiots."

We both look at eachother and nod with the same idea in mind.

I open the door quietly and run to where melody is in the back of the room.

"Would you like to do the honors?" I ask with a smile.

"YES!" She exclaims and then excitedly shouts, "HOLE IN THE WALL!" before she pulls the ring and throws it out the door as we take cover behind the boxes.

A few seconds later we hear screams and a loud explosion.

We wait a bit and don't hear any one.

We both take the guns we found and hold them up as we exit the room looking around for the exit to the old run down building they took us too.

Seeing a figure wobbling toward us, I shoot with out blinking an eye as he falls down.

Melody takes a shot at someone else walking toward us to our right and another to our left.

"This was an amateur job for sure." she says.

"Even me lacking 60% of my strength could take these idiots. Who do they take me for, sending untrained gangsters to kidnap us." I say seriously.

If the guys who she took out earlier were alive to hear her, they would gag and think if that's only 60%, I dont want to feel 100%.

Melody just shakes her head with no words, and thinks about how shameless her friend is.

They make their way out of the building and upon seeing the gang leader lying on the floor, they both took an extra shot at his dead body out of anger.

Melody just watches unable to be shocked anymore as Serenity bends over and takes his wallet and removes all the cash from it.

Braxton and Colton who just arrived at the scene with there men ready to play hero, also happened to notice this whole act that just happened.

Braxton just stares dumbfounded while Colton just smiles and shakes his head, 'She just gets more and more interesting.' he thinks to himself as even if she is covered in blood she is still the most attractive little goddess.

"You guys are late." she says and throws the leaders wallet at them and both her and Melody fold there arms and look at them.

Colton catches the wallet and Braxton shakes his head and touches his nose, "Did you leave any of them alive?" he asks.

"Nope." Melody says popping the 'P' and then continues, "they annoyed me and well, they dirtied Serenity's shirt and died without paying so yeah, they all had to go." she says with an innocent smile making the two gods sigh.

Braxton and Colton both couldn't help thinking how they are going to have their hands full with these girls once they get them to fall for them.

"How will we find the master mind now?" Braxton says.

"You guys can figure that out, I am feeling really tired." Serenity says as she holds her head with her hands and wobbles a few steps before blacking out again and falling.

Melody who was standing right next to her, catches her, but is only holding her for only a second before Colton swiftly takes her in his arms.

"She hit head during the accident. What if it is serious?! Omg!" Melody says freaked out.

Braxton goes up to support the beauty in distress and she immediately hugs him taking him by surprise and he quickly hugs her back and tells her it'll be okay.

Colton orders the men to clean up and collect any evidence that could lead to the person who hired the gang.

He and Braxton helped the girls into the car and headed toward the hospital.

Braxton was so distracted at how Melody cried herself to sleep on his shoulder from the shocking events that took place and Colton was also not thinking as he tended to Serenity who was still unconscious cradled in his arms since he refused to lay her on any of the empty seats in case she gets uncomfortable, that both men forgot to let the two over protective brothers know that their sisters are saved.
