About Li Jun Xuan

"Miss Gu, good morning," Auntie Li greeted with a bright smile on her face when she saw her long-term guest. "We prepared several choices of breakfast today," Auntie Li spoke as she ushered her to the dining area. "Come over and eat."

Her shift at Qin Zhan's noodle stall will start a little late on weekend. Taking this chance, Gu Xin Ye followed Auntie Li and planned to eat her breakfast slowly.

As she entered the dining area, there were a few people who came to have their breakfast as well. Gu Xin Ye chose a few breakfast items and sit down in a slightly hidden area.

She took out her phone and started to check her work email. Once she read the email, Gu Xin Ye's expression subconsciously switched to her working mode.

She did not look around and continued to eat while answering some of the important emails.

When she looked up again, her cup was empty and the people who were in the dining area were no longer around.

Checking the time, Gu Xin Ye decided to head back to her room before she go to the noodle stall. Just as she was about to head upstairs, Auntie Li was seen standing behind the receptionist's desk while mumbling something in anger.

Initially, Gu Xin Ye planned to head to her room. But, seeing that Auntie Li had seen her, Gu Xin Ye decided to walk over. Anyway, Auntie Li might give her another gossip.

"Mrs. Li, what's wrong?"

Auntie Li turned her head in a direction before heaving a sigh. Following her gaze, Gu Xin Ye saw that the woman was watching her son, Li Jun Xuan, who was leaving the building.

Instantly, she linked Auntie Li's anger towards the man.

Gu Xin Ye recalled Qin Zhan and Li Jun Xuan's strange gaze when they both saw her at the B&B last night and wondered if they were suspecting her again.

Li Jun Xuan made it no secret that he was suspecting her intention when she came to work for the small stall. Each time he looked at her, the man would stare as if he was trying to find out her secret.

Truthfully, Gu Xin Ye thought that if it was not for Luo Qi, there was no way that she could try to approach Qin Zhan by working at his stall.

She had suspected that Qin Zhan was doubting her intention to work with him. It was strange that Qin Zhan had not asked her to leave.

"Nothing," Auntie Li heaved another sigh. "Just that my son was driving me mad each time I see him. I asked him to help me to look after the B&B but he told me that he was too busy. He was mostly staying at this place doing nothing. What is he busy with?"

Hearing that the elder woman wanted to vent about her son, Gu Xin Ye was naturally uninterested. However, Auntie Li's eyes lit up when she realized that there was a person to whom she could vent her feelings.

At her age, what Auntie Li wanted the most was to have someone who was willing to listen to her talking. However, because she was operating this B&B, Auntie Li did not have much time to meet up with her friends and gossip.

Perhaps, this was the reason she liked to talk to her guests.

"Auntie Li, I'm sure that he will find a job someday," Gu Xin Ye said.

Initially, she had thought that the man was working at his family B&B. Now that she thought about it, she had never seen him working around the place.

It turned out that he was unemployed?

"He already has a job. It's just that, he was on a long break."

Gu Xin Ye was suddenly curious about this man. "Auntie Li, what did he do?"

"My son followed his father's footsteps to be a detective," Auntie Li said. "However, two years ago, he was transferred to L City to assist with a big case. Later, he returned and said that he wanted to take a deep break."

Her eyes widened in surprise.

Gu Xin Ye would never expect that the man would be a detective.

Now that she thought about it, Gu Xin Ye finally understood why Li Jun Xuan was always suspecting that she was up to something.

It turned out that he was struck by his occupational disease.

However, this reminded her that she needed to be very careful around Li Jun Xuan. Trouble would come once he found out who she was.

Gu Xin Ye spent a long time talking to Auntie Li about her son. When she headed upstairs, she realized that it was time for her to head over to the noodle stall.

When she arrived, the Luo siblings had arrived and they were busy arranging the tables and chairs.

Looking around, she could not see Qin Zhan anywhere.

The broth in the large stockpot continued to simmer. However, the man who was in charge of preparing the soup was not around.

Gu XinYe put down her bag and went over to Luo Qi.

"Sister, you're here." Luo Qi smiled brightly when she saw her approach.

"Where is your uncle?" Gu Xin Ye asked.

Luo Qi looked around and finally pointed towards the back of the stall. "Just now, Uncle Jun came over to find him. They went back to discuss something."

"What are they up to?" Gu Xin Ye asked nonchalantly.

The girl shrugged and heaved a long sigh. "I also wanted to know. Recently, the two of them were quite close. I think they were up to something."

Gu Xin Ye frowned as her curiosity perked up. However, it would be impossible to head over and check at what they were up to with the siblings around.

Lowering her gaze, Gu Xin Ye began to pick up a rag and wiped the dust on the table and chair.

As she was busy wiping the cutlery, both Qin Zhan and Li Jun Xuan finally came out from their hiding place.

Gu Xin Ye raised her head and caught Li Jun Xuan's surprise upon seeing her. However, the man quickly recovered himself and looked away.

The way he was looking at her made her panic. Why did she have this feeling that the two of them were discussing something related to her?
