Accepting the faith that was ahead of Reese, every single detail she lived with slowly changed in the past four years of her stay inside the Reklavion clan, a clan her father once ruled, which was now led by Reese herself.
After months and years of training, she got a grip of what she really is and she slowly accepted the fact of what she is and what she was made of.
Staring in front of the map on her wall, there were at least hundreds of cross marks on each path they went just to find her father, she did her very best to track him all the way.
Reese just woke up one morning and said to herself that she had to find her father. The person who wants Reese dead.
"Reese."
Reese's attention was immediately averted to the person who called her, hearing from the person's voice, Reese knew that it was Kier.
Reese silently sat on her chair and faced Kier. "What's wrong now, Kier?" Reese asked as she sighed.
"The people we sent to look for your father." Kier paused, "I'm sorry, I meant Lord Elenore Marquis…"
Reese sighed and massaged her temple as she took a sip from the wine that was served for her earlier.
"May balita na ba? Are there any progress?" Reese asked Kier.
Kier looked away and sighed. "They just reported it to Butler Sue, they saw nothing on the new route. I'm sorry."
Dahan-dahan na binaba ni Reese ang inumin na hawak niya, she closed her eyes, squeezing it shut for a moment before speaking once again.
Four years had already passed, yet the person who wanted Reese dead was still nowhere to be found. He did not show up right after he showed up four years ago when she had no idea of what she really was.
"He wanted me dead, but why is he the one hiding from me? I should be the one hiding from him." Reese said in a low voice and she clenched her hands.
"If he's not out there looking for you, I think we should better stop looking for him." Saad ni Kier at napabuntong hininga. "May mas importante tayong bagay na kailangan pa na problemahin, Reese." Dagdag na saad ni Kier na ikinabahala ni Reese.
"What do you mean by that? Is there something I don't know?" Reese asked with curiosity.
Kier cleared her throat and gently looked at Reese's eyes. "It's about the other vampires under our care."
"What happened?"
"It would be better to see them yourself." Kier said and he already walked out of the room, Reese followed him on his way out of the ancestral house and went over to the other house outside the ancestral place.
Kier knocked on the door twice and Butler Sue was the one who opened the door immediately making her go inside the wooden cabin.
Reese was surprised and worried at the same time when she saw that her people were bed ridden and unconscious. It felt like she just saw herself when she lived as a human. Her people looked really weak and in need of help.
"What happened to them?" Reese's voice was kind of loud, she was dead worried for the people that are under her.
"They suddenly collapsed on their way back, and as what we suspected --- they lacked blood. It's been many years since they have drank one and we don't actually have something that they could drink for them to get better." Paliwanag ni Kier sa kanya.
Reese combed her hair once again after hearing what happened. If there are no stocks of blood for her people to drink, then how can they bring their strength back?
"Lady Reese, it would get more serious if they won't drink blood immediately. They might attack any humans."
That's something Reese was worrying. For hundreds of years, the vampires in her clan never drank human blood for so long. They stopped to retain peace and they don't do violence against humans.
This is a serious matter to be taken off immediately. Reese doesn't want to risk the fact that they might get things out of hand just like what happened four years ago. She can't just possibly forget those people she attacked when she was in thirst for blood.
Reese froze when she suddenly thought of an idea. An idea where she can get supplied for her people.
"The cranberry juice, Kier." "The cranberry juice I used to drink back then. We need those."
"But…" Napayuko si Kier at napa buntong hininga.
"Why? Is there something wrong with it? That's our only solution for this problem, 'wag na natin hinatayin pa na lumalala at umabot sa paraan na hindi na natin kayang solusyonan." Saad ni Reese kay Kier.
"If we go with that solution, it only means that we have to go back from where you were from, Reese. Would you like to risk it? By going back there?"
For a moment, Reese was quiet. She had to think if she would be able to go back for the sake of her men. Nothing is more important than her clan, she only has the access to those drinks. She knows the doctor who prescribed her those.
"It's not like I'll get caught by the police once I go back there, Kier." Saad ni Reese at napa buntong hininga. "This is for the sake of my men, not mine. So, I won't think twice and go back to where I was from."
"Hindi lang pulis ang naghahanap sa'yo, Reese. Severus might be looking for you too."
"It would be great to see him again, Kier. But, I have to leave things as it is. Imposible na hinahanap niya pa rin ako sa apat na taon na hindi ko pagpapakita." Sagot ni Reese at muling tinignan ang tao niya na nanghihina at nakahiga.
Reese only desires to help her men, she knows what it feels and it would be hard for her to handle if they would go berserk for the sake of tasting blood. It would be difficult to stop them because they are pure vampires unlike her.
Reese looked at Butler Sue, "Please prepare my transportation."
There she realized how much her life changed as soon as she left the city and learned her true identity. The people she should mingle with are now in front of her, calling her as their leader.
But, it's not that easy for Reese to freely do everything she wants. There's still a part of her telling that something's missing. She then gently held the ring that she had on her necklace.
If Reese would be able to meet Severus again after four years, it would definitely be great but it would also be a nuisance for her to explain everything to him. They were not legally married, so it would be easy for Severus to find a new woman.
The only thing that Reese regretted was that she was not able to be honest towards her feelings for Severus, but like she said, things are better as it is.
