Warrior University Freshmen

Storm Desire sighed. This level of fight was much higher than what he could perform himself. "Is Your Dad is a Noob a card apprentice as well?" He asked loudly.

Alex saw his points increase to 60 and had a happy look. Private battles seemed to be an excellent method to quickly gain points.

He saw his opponent reappear after the end of the battle. Alex looked at him. "Do you want to have a private battle without using any cards?."

Warrior University Rank 20 Freshman was surprised. From the previous fight, he could clearly feel his superior physical strength compared to his opponent. He smirked. "50 points.

Alex nodded and they began another match. However, the both of them did not use any cards this time around. Alex wanted to use the pressure of fighting a stronger combatant to gain insight into the Smiling Punch.

As the two began fighting, Storm Desire was confused. "They are fighting again and not using cards? What's going on?"

"Look, Your Dad is a Noob is obviously losing." Another spoke up.

Alex matched punch to punch and kikc to kick of his opponent, but the strength gap pushed him backwards everytime. However, he felt his tactics and combat strength soar in real time. Alex smiled. "This is the kind of pressure I need."

Alex and his opponent fought for over fifteen minutes. Initially the rank 20 freshman was at an advantage, but now he was frowning, because the two had come to parity amd he even felt a bit of a disadvantage!

After ten more minutes, Alex finally exploited the flaw in his opponent's punch and blocked at an angle, leaving a huge open space which he used his other hand to deliver a devastating smiling punch.

Storm Desire shook his head. As he was about to leave he saw another person sitting in the audience. The person had been recording the match. Storm Desire had a cold feeling. However, all the participants and the audience had left the arena.

When Storm Desire came to the Frontier Grounds, he found a forum post had become viral.

'Warrior University genius thrashed twice by a newbie. So embarrassed he cried!'

Storm Desire flew into a rage. He was sure it was that slimy guy he had seen. "Cried my ass!" He fumed. Beside him, Warrior University Rank 20 Freshman also had a pale face. Not only did he lose twice and lost 100 points which he worked very hard for, but now someone was slandering him!

In the forum post were the last scenes of the battle showing how the warrior university freshman was being toyed with. Then the poster even added a comment.

'Warrior University geniuses challenged by a newbie. Is warrior university so trash?'

Meanwhile, Alex didn't even know what was going on. He went up the 1 Card Trial Tower and defeated the two wind card stages in a row. He had now cleared 6 stages. His goal was to quickly complete 10 levels and then try for 20 levels of this tower.

Alex then went to the store. There he looked at all the Rank 1 training formulas. He found the ones pertaining to Light Attribute. There were a few Light attribute formulas available. He could purchase only one with the points he had. He had to make a decision between two Rank 1 cards, Light Orb and Flash.

Flash had tactical use, but Light Orb seemed useless. Still, it was possible for it to be a path to a powerful card. After much hesitation, Alex eventually chose the formula for Flash and left the Virtual World.

As he returned to his training room to absorb the source energy along the instructions of the formula, Warrior University freshmen students were in an uproar.

A slanderous forum post had become viral and even pinned by the news forum admins of the Card Frontier. People looked at Brock, the 20th ranked Freshman with contempt. Not only did he challenge a newbie and lost, but he lost twice and even shamed the university.

Brock snorted and retreated to his room and began to practice. He realized from the two matches that his tactics in both physical matches as well in the use of cards had too many flaws.

Meanwhile, Warrior University students heard the name of the opponent, they were even angrier. "Your Dad is a Noob? This guy thinks he is too smart. Stake out the Card Frontier! I will challenge him when he comes online. Rank 19 freshman said."

Alex followed the training formula to manifest his first active card, Rank 1 card Flash, but he could feel that progress was almost terrifyingly slow.

"I really have very poor talent." Alex sighed. Over the next week, he was stunned in the Card Frontier. After every PvP game, he would be challenged by a player of the Warrior University Rank xx Freshman variety. Daily he would be berated for slandering the Warrior University.

However, the freshmen whether it was the rank 19 or the rank 15 had all lost matches to this devious player called Your Dad is a Noob. Not only did his name infuriate them, they also found a malevolent slimy audience recording the matches and making a gossip column in the news forums. The posts were viral and the Warrior University students would often see gifs of being thrashed by Your Dad is a Noob being used as a meme in the forums which made them pale with anger.

Alex had cleared the 10th level of the trial. It was his first attempt and the trial tower actually had a special announcement for his achievement.

"First time in a year a new entrant cleared the 10th level of the tower."

"Hey, isn't this the same guy who has been beating up all the Warrior University Freshmen? He is not bad!"

Meanwhile, Alex went to the card frontier store. He had a lot of points now, around 750. But using points for buying formulas seemed useless. He wasn't able to progress more than a fraction towards creating a rank 1 card. At this rate, it would take him years.

Alex went into the shop hoping for something that could help him. He looked at the special items on sale list.
