chapter 3

"Shino! "

The sound of her name being called alerted the four year old. She looked towards her clock to read the time. Was it already three pm? It appeared so. Her parents must be back then. She looked down at the floor admiring the work she had done. She had been playing with her legos for the last hour and successfully built a mini city. The city covered the entirety of her floor so she would have to carefully navigate her way towards her door. Or she could just not touch the floor at all. She looked around her room. There was enough for her to move around on. With an excited grin she climbed onto the second bunk of her bed. From there she climbed onto her wardrobe and descended upon her dresser. From there it was a small jump onto her toy chest and she was at the door. It was a lot less harder than she thought. Oh well.

Now out of her bedroom she made her way down the hall and towards the stairs. Once there she stared at the endless amount of stairs. She didn't understand why there needed to be so much. Why do mansions always have so many stairs? Couldn't they have installed an elevator? It would have been a lot more convenient.

Shino was not trudging down those stairs. Her legs were tiny and it would take forever. Instead she climbed onto the railing and glided down effortlessly. It was something she did often and had become an expert. The first time around she landed flat on her face. Now she could gracefully land on her feet.

After having conquered the stairs she made a bee line for the living room where she had heard the call from.

In the living room stood five familiar figures. Four adults and one young boy her age. She smiled upon seeing them.

"Hello uncle Toshinori, aunt Emiko" she greeted the adults and turned towards the strawberry blonde boy who has a huge grin on his face. "What's up Sora? "

"The sky"

"You had to didn't you? "

"Yes. Yes I did dear friend of mind"

Shino sighed and turned away from her long time friend. He can be a complete idiot despite the working head on his shoulders.

"Welcome back mom and dad"

"It's good to be back, what were you up to Hiro? I bet you never even left your room"

Shino laughed sheepishly. Her father was right. She never once stepped foot out of her room until that very moment.

"I built a city"

"Whoa really? How big is it? "

"Huge. It covers my entire bedroom floor"

"You gotta show me"

"I will only if you promise not to reck it"

The last time she had graced him with one of her inventions he had broken it. He didn't have an ounce of remorse for doing so.

"I won't. I promise"

Shino stared into those green eyes for some time. She tried to locate any trace of deception. But found none.

"I'll believe you for now" she sighed. "Anyways what are you three doing here if you dont mind me asking? "

"Well young Shino there is some hero business we need to discuss and your parents suggested meeting at their lovely home" the bulky blonde explained very loudly and energetically.

"We figured since we'll be coming over we might as well bring Sora with us so you two can catch up" the red headed female said with a kind smile.

"Oh, OK. Is anyone else coming over? "

"Yes, they should be here any time now" just as Nico said that the sound of the doorbell could be heard.

The door was soon opened by their trusty butler and in stepped the whole group.

"Shino, Sora! "

Shino was tackled to the ground. All she could see was a puff of green messy hair. It didn't take that long for her to realize who it was.

"Izuku. Please get off me"

"I'm sorry! "Izuku immediately shot up and apologized furiously.

Next to him an ashy blonde boy was snickering at the scene.

"Hey Katsuki"

"Yo"

"So you two came along as well? "Sora asked as he tilted his head to the side to get a look at the newly arrived adults. Three females two males.

"Yeah our mothers told us they were coming here and asked if we wanted to come" Katsuki informed his two friends as he eyed the adults as well.

"What do you think they need to discuss? "Izuku asked.

"Don't know but it must be important if they're all here"

Soon the newly arrivals were in front if them. Shino was pulled into a very tight hug and lost the ability to breathe . Her face was buried between two mounds of flesh and she struggled to get air.

"May you rest in peace" Sora said with an amused grin on his face.

Katsuki looked like he was on the verge of laughter and Izuku looked plain worried.

"Um... Aunt Nemuri, I don't think Ino can breathe"

"Oh"

Shino was soon released from her prison and took a deep gulp of air. How many times had she already been suffocated like that? It needs to stop.

"Aunt Nemuri, you always suffocate me when you hug me. Are you doing this on purpose. You must be! What did I ever do to you to deserve such treatment. Have I not been the best little niece. Am I not your biggest fan. Am I not the one with tons of Midnight posters even though I shouldn't have them? What have I done to betray you? "

"You're being way too dramatic " Nemuri dead panned.

"Oh I know" Shino shrugged with her hands in her pockets. "Please refrain from suffocating me next time"

"I'll try" Nemuri laughed and then remembered something. "You have posters of me? "

"Oh yeah"

"How did you get those? "

"I have my ways"

"You have M rated posters? "

"That I do Katsuki"

Sora opened his mouth to say something but Shino shot him a look.

"You'll never find them"

"Hello there Shino. You have grown haven't you? "

"Sure have aunt Inko. I grew an inch taller"

"That isn't much"

"Shut up Sora"

"Have you developed a quirk yet kid? "

"Not yet aunt Mitsuki"

"Yo kiddies ! Can I get a "yeah!""

"Yeah! "

"Stop making so much noise Hizashi"

"Uncle Shota I guess you didn't get much sleep huh"

In response the scruffy man grunted and curled into his sleeping bag.

"Okay" Shiro clapped very loudly and got everyone's attention. "Seeing as we're all here it's time for our meeting to commence"

"Shino, why don't you and the rest go play upstairs "

"Sure thing mom"

"I guess that's our cue"

After saying their goodbye the group of kids made their way up the stairs.

"Why does your house have so many stairs? "

"I ask myself that everyday "

After making their way down the stairs the group stood in front Shino's door. She gripped the door knob and turned to her friend.

"Okay look. I built an entire Lego city that covers my entire floor. I'm going to need you to proceed with caution "

Each boy nodded in response and waited patiently for Shino to open her door. Once she did they were met with an intricate Lego city starting from Shino's bed and ending at the front of the doors.

"How long did it take you to build this? "Izuku asked.

"Hours" Shino carefully climbed onto her toy chest. "I need you to follow me"

And the boys did. They followed her onto her toy chest. Jumped onto her dresser and climbed onto her wardrobe before collapsing onto the top bunk of her bed.

"What's the point of the city? " Katsuki asked.

"No idea"

"So you just built it"

"Exactly "

The four spent sometime moving around the city as if they were giants before leaving the room seeing as there wasn't much to do without destroying the city. The group had an entire floor to play on and immediately headed towards the game room. The room was filled with arcade games. In a corner there was a huge flat screen TV that was connected to a gaming system. Shino spent loads of time in this room when she had nothing better to do. She knew every game and won each at least once. The group went around competing against each other to see who was the better gamer. In the end Sora came out the victor. No surprise there seeing as he is on love with video games and comics.

The rest of their time was spent in what Shino's parents call the playroom. The room was just massive and had different toys scattered around it. The toys ranged from a huge block of soft material to tiny legos. They could do anything in the room. What they did was build an obstacle course out of the soft blocks and used it to play heroes and villains. Katsuki and Shino were the villains while Izuku and Sora were the heroes. The pair who wins gets to choose what role they play in the next game.

"Have any of you unlocked your quirk yet? "Shino suddenly asked as she was sprawled out on the floor. She decided to take a break from all the games.

"No"

"I wonder what my quirk will be"Sora sat down next to her. "Will it be some sort of psionic quirk like my mother or will it be super strength like dad. Maybe both"

"To have the same power as the number one hero. That would be so cool" Izuku had stars in his eyes as he said that. "I hope my quirk is a mix of both my parents "

"If you put telekinesis with a fire breathing quirk you could get a pyrokinetic quirk

"I'll get a cool and flashy quirk and become the number one hero! "Katsuki exclaimed.

"Not if I become number one first" Sora grinned. "I'll follow in my father's footsteps"

"I'll beat both you and All Might. Just you wait"

"I would really like to be the number one hero" Izuku said determined before turning to Shino. "What about you? What type of quirk do you want? "

Shino shrugged. "It would be nice to get a combo of my parents quirk. The ability to obsorb sunlight and use it as you wish paired with lightning abilities would be amazing"

"That would be cool wouldn't it"

"Sure would. And later when I'm older I'll attend UA and train to become a great hero"
