Chapter 3. Awaken or Die!!!!

Hiro awoke on the ground seeing a waterfall and a lake full of fish and other creatures he's never seen before. After seeing this place he was taken aback by the sheer peaceful atmosphere surrounding this place. The grass was greener and the blues bluer than he'd ever seen. A beautiful lake next to a waterfall and a massive stone next to a dirt field in the shape of a circle. Hiro remembered his journey and the speed that he traveled but realized be didn't feel even the slightest bit tired. His body didn't ache or have signs of fatigue.

This body of mine is incredible. I don't feel like I could still be human. Is this how other species must feel all the time. I get it now. Humans are just cursed to not know this feeling.

"Boy! Come here we have much to discuss."

"I thought we could just jump straight into training I feel incredible"

"I know how you must feel having finally seen a glimpse of what you've been missing. But the way you are now you couldn't take out a single goblin by yourself."

"What are you talking about? Didn't you see what I did last night I'm strong, and I'm fast? What more could I need just to take out a single goblin ."

"You have power. True, but you have only begun to fathom what you lack. You could have more power than any other human but you'll be going up against beings who were born as you are now. Not only that they have trained and become stronger and had a lifetime to perfect what you've just been introduced to. Not to mention then different kinds of magics they have that you need to defend against and you haven't even manifested your particular elementa magic."

"So you're saying that I couldn't beat anyone even as powerful as I feel right now?"

" What I'm saying is that if humans were on a scale of strength in relation to a tree humans would be a leaf. You might be a twig on a branch." Theo picks up a stick and points it at a tree.

"The rest of the demihumans would be that tree. And anything above that would increase by the volume of this forest a hundredfold depending on the place in the hierarchy. Long story short you'd lose."

"What was the point in telling me all this just to tell me to give up? Why even give me power if I couldn't use it to do anything."

"So why the hell do you think I brought you here? This place is where you'll train to get stronger. Magic is in everything and it flows in abundance here so what might take you years to learn outside in here might take minutes and we'll cultivate this spark you have until....."

Theo throws the stick and breaks several trees in half and the stick gets stuck into the boulder. Theo smiles.

" Until you can break down every tree in your path"

Hiro excited feeling like he is about to jump out of his skin says "Where do we start?".

Theo draws chains into the dirt and a symbol on them. Theo imbues the dirt with magic creating magical restrains.

" What are those?"

"Think of these as magically restrains the more you wear them the heavier they get and they're powered by your magic. You'll wear these until you can't feel them anymore. If all goes as planned your power will increase 100 fold. Try not to die."

"And if it doesn't go as planned?"

"Like I said try not to die. Your magic elementa will manifest itself the stronger your magic so for now, we must build it little by little. we'll start by increasing your magical awareness."

"My magical awareness? How do you even build something like that?".

"Right now you can only sense the magic inside your body that's why it seems so strong. The moment you can sense the magic outside you may be crushed by your inadequacy. "

"Whatever old man. How do we do this"

" By fighting of course your senses are heightened when your life is in danger. So, I'll simply just put you in peril to where your life is in danger. I'll hold back so you don't die"

Hiro starts to stretch and Theo calmly takes off his scarf revealing scars and an athletic build.

Theo put a hand behind his back and the other in front of his body. Suddenly the air felt thin and Hiro felt as if every inch of him was screaming to run away but was getting pulled into Theo.

" Blackhole: Giga impact"

The immense pressure disappeared for a second and Hiro felt a searing pain in his gut. Hiro was knocked off his feet and could see everything in slow motion. He saw Theo's fist punching him in the stomach and the ground turn to the sky. The distinct blackness as if it never happened.

This pain was like nothing I've ever felt before. My stomach was on fire and my organs felt like they have burst. Did I die this time? No, I'm in too much pain to be dead. I want to die here in that perfect quite darkness.

"Get up Hiro that was less than 10% of my full strength "

"What kind of monster are you?"

"One that likes this weapons standing "

Hiro winced in pain it was as if a Warhammer was used to crush a grape.

"You're not dead so that means you can get up. Next time sense my magic and avoid it "

"NEXT TIME!!!!! next time I'll be greeting Cerberus at the river sticks "

"That's only if you don't dodge it. Sense my magic or die"

"Wait...hold on I don't know how to..."

Theo regains his stance ready to launch another attack. Hiro felt the same pressure again however this time Hiro felt dread as his death was stared him in the face.

"Come on!!! If ever there was a time to work it's now. Either I sense his magic or I really will.....Die."

"Black.....Hole...Giga....."

Energy swirled around Theo and his intent to kill and power had increased. This time he was willing to kill Hiro.

"Awaken or Die!!!!!"

"IMPACT!!!!!"
