Puffer Whale Arc II

With Coco leading the way, they didn't hit any dead ends and the bugs were afraid of the smell of poison that he unconsciously emits.

After looking into the distance, Coco mentioned the group to stop. A few seconds later the screeching of bats were heard.

"Be careful, a herd of Blood-Sucking Bats are coming." Coco said and the group prepared their weapons.

Somnus gripped his dagger as Helen nocked an arrow and pulled the string of her bow. Hera held her rapier preparing to stab and Regis prepared his longsword. Irene has a standard sword in her hand. Toriko cracked his fist while Coco's skin turned purple.

Noticing the change in Coco, Toriko explained to them.

"Coco's body allows him to release high amounts of poison in his body. His antibodies are much more higher in number than mine. Usually, those with gourmet cells, they would only be able to produce a hundred or so but Coco... his body has an abnormal amount of five hundred and more." Toriko explained and Coco just sighed after hearing Toriko's words.

"I see. The reason why he rejected Young Lady Tina's camera is because he would be hunted by those scientist in the hopes of using his blood to create different antidotes and sell it for a high price." Noctis said with a nod and Coco just gave a disappointed sigh. The others looked at him in pity but the Royal Family didn't think the same.

This is the difference between a commoner and a royalty, people might see it as something disgusting or frowned upon but for a King like Regis, if one's sacrifice could improve the quality of life of his subjects, then it's all worth it.

"And if I'm not wrong, he let the scientists take his blood at first but when the scientists got too greedy and got wind of it, ran away, and maybe hid in a remote place." Noctis continued. Coco just stayed silent as he neither confirmed nor deny the statement.

"Prepare for battle!" Coco warned as they entered into their battle stances.

Huge Bats appeared in eaves threatening to attack them. Alongside the bats were poisonous bugs and insects running towards them.

"Poison Rifle" Coco pointed his fingers towards the bats, poison dripped from his fingers, causing the ground to sizzle. Miniscule amounts of poison flew towards the bats causing them to be poisoned to death.

Swish Swish Swish

Sounds of arrows passed by Coco and hit the poisonous bugs running towards them. Hera rushed in and stabbed. In the eyes of a normal human, it was only a single stab, but for Coco who's eyes surpassed normal humans, he could see her stab so many times hitting the opponents weak points or head accurately.

Not willing to be outdone by his wife, Regis charged in and with a swing of his sword, five poisonous bugs were sliced into pieces. Somnus was fast as he identified those bugs that have high threat value. He nimbly rushed in and evaded the stingers, bites, and spits of the poisonous bugs. He jumped and mounted a huge bee and stabbed its head before twisting the dagger in his hand. Irene cleared the remaining bats coming their way. Toriko joined in the fray and teared bugs left and right.

Only Noctis were watching everything like a show, suddenly he swung his wooden sword. A head fell down, scaring Tina and Komatsu. Tina's screams got the attention of Coco and Toriko but not Noctis' group, they still haven't cleared the wave of bugs. They quickly wrapped the enemies in front of them and looked at the direction of the scream earlier.

What they saw was a headless body, the man was dressed like a treasure hunter. Tina's face was pale while pointing her finger at Noctis.

"What happened?" Toriko asked solemnly, he knows what happened. The treasure hunter must've thought of kidnapping Tina or Komatsu to pave the way and Noctis noticed as he attacked.

"W-we were w-watching you guys when a h-head rolled in f-front of me." Komatsu said, his face was pale as well. Coco understood the gist of what happened. Noctis' group also understood what just happened. When a ruin in their world was found, these kind of people are normal and didn't find it weird at all.

"You owe your-" Coco was speaking when Toriko spoke.

"Be careful, I smell strong predators ahead probably 3 or more. Those enemies from earlier seems to be running away." Toriko said to the group.

"Let's keep going. We should not be wasting our time thanking each other." Noctis said and Toriko nodded as he signaled Coco to take the lead.

With Coco's eyesight, he could see in the dark as if its high noon. The group moved forward until they saw a cliff that they need to get down.

"Stand back." Noctis said and they ffollowed Noctis' sword swung fast that even Coco's eyesight couldn't follow. After a few moments, Noctis stopped swinging and the cliff was carved into stairs. Noctis' culinary skills made food carving essential for high class restaurant. Noctis' group was slightly surprised, that's all. But to Toriko, Coco, and the others, it was an impressive feat.

"Let's go don't dawdle. They said that pufferwhales needed to lay their spawn right? Toriko, can you smell the aroma of salt?" Noctis asked Toriko.

"I could smell faint traces of it so we should be fairly close to it." Toriko replied and looked at Coco who seems to be staring into the holes in front of them, of the five holes, four of them are emitting dangerous vibes. He was about to point out the safe hole when a loud roar could be heard.

"Be careful, this ones are pretty dangerous!" Coco said as they prepared. A huge violet serpent came out and blocked the safe hole that Coco was eyeing.

"Its the top predator of cavern lagoon!!" Komatsu shouted.

"Devil Orochi..." Coco murmured to himself. He have heard of the devil serpent and its toxic properties. He's not confident to come out of the fight unscathed.

"Let's pair up. We'll take one each. Komatsu, Tina, don't leave my back or you'll die, you hear me?" Noctis said and the couples paired up leaving Toriko and Coco to be in a party. Komatsu and Tina nodded their heads.

"Looks like this'll be the first time I'll fight alongside you, my love." Noctis said while Irene smiled at his words.

"There'll be more to come, my love." Irene said with a sweet smile.

"Its been ages but Coco... don't let me down." Toriko said with a chuckle.

"We'll see about that." Coco gave a confident smile. He would not come out unscathed but he is confident that he will win. He could already see the shadow of death on the remaining three Devil Serpents. Theirs on the other hand doesn't look pretty good.

"How about it dear, want to bet on who'll take it down?" Hera asked Regis beside her.

"What are you talking about, of course its going to be me." Regis said confidently.

"I see, then a bet it is." Hera replied.

"Looks like everyone's fired up. We better not lose to them, what do you think?" Somnus asked his lover, Helen.

"Yes. Let's show them what we've got." Helen said as she nocked another arrow on her bow.

"This is going to be interesting." Noctis said as he looked at everyone who's looking at their own prey.
