Halloween.

The halloween event goes like before. The students and Professors are having dinner in the Great hall when Quirell run in, scream "TROLL!!!", promptly faint after. The headmaster told them to go back to their own dorm before heading off. The students are in panic. Harry and Iris convince Diggory to tell the other prefect to let them stay there instead. Easier to keep watch on one place than to watch them go back on four different direction.

The four house share the great hall as hiding place whereas the prefect got their head of house to stand guard. Harry look over at Severus Snape who's clearly look like he want to flee from there. Quirell is long gone in the middle of mass panic students.

The students are gather around based on their years and house. The first years got seated at the back of the hall, near the podium, where the proffesor table usually is.

Harry is sitting with Iris, Hannah Abbott, Susan Bones,Theo -who is trying to blend in- and a couple other Hufflepuff first year.

"Guys." there was voice behind them. They all turn around to see Neville Longbottom coming from the Gryffindor crowd.

"Yes, Longbottom?" Hannah asked, she has a good impression on the shy Gryffindor.

"Did you guys see Hermione?" Longbottom ask instead. Hermione Granger is the Gryffindor golden student. The other student call her 'teacher's pet' behind her back. Thought she's smart, she's not very popular around her yearmate, they did not like her uptight personality.

"Did something happen?" Susan ask back.

"She got fight with Ron and hasn't been around yet." Longbottom wrung his hands, panic can be seen in his eyes.

Harry want to smack his head. Some thing remain the same even in this life. Damn. If the troll get to Hermione...

"I'll tell Cedric." Iris say, paying more attention at Harry's expression, realizing what happen, run over to find the Hufflepuff perfect.

But, Harry don't know if they would get her on time. He sneak behind the crowd, intend to slip away out of the great hall. He got out of the door, when someone grab him, "Harry."

Draco has been looking at Harry and Iris, want to come stay with them when he see Longbottom goes over. He see Iris run away and Harry looking sneaky. He follow Harry and grab him at the last moment. "Where you going?"

Harry grab Draco, "Come on." they both got away.

The two of them run over with Harry leading Draco to the female bathroom.

"Where exactly are we going?" Draco panted.

"To find Hermione." Harry said, slow down his step then looking around.

"Why would we find Granger?" Draco stoped beside Harry.

"She doesn't know about the troll." Harry explain, "the girl's bathroom is here."

Draco paled at the mention of troll, he start looking around them, "What if the troll is near?"

"Oh, you just have to jinx it." Harry said at the same time there was scream inside the female toilet.

Harry and Draco come into the toilet and find Hermione hiding underneath the sink. The troll standing tall in the middle of the room, it hand waving a club, smashing things near it.

Draco subconsciously turn to run away from the troll, he got slip in a puddle of water instead, catching the troll attention in the process.

The troll walk slowly to Draco, dragging his cub, groaning.

Draco too terrified to move, lay still in the puddle of water.

Harry think hard, whether using advance spell worth the risk of getting caught or he can use the spell Ron's previously use in his first life instead. "Wingardium leviosa." he said, pointing his wand at the troll cub.

The cub float from the troll hand, the troll try to wrench it back. Harry make the cub go higher than the troll head before releasing the spell.

THUD.

The cub fall on the troll head. "AAARRRGGGG". The troll grab his head, trashing around wildly, then dramatically fall down in the middle of the female bathroom.

There was silence. Harry, Draco and Hermione look at each other over the troll body.

"Merlin." the three turn to see Professor McGonagall on the bathroom door, face stern. "What happen here?"

"Malfoy?" Professor Snape is hiding in the shadow of Professor McGonagall, intent to watch the show, when he recognize his own student in the mess.

Draco is wet and trembling, Harry help him stood up.

Hermione still stand, biting her own lips in a nervous way, "It..it's my fault Professor." she said, " I... i want to test my spell in real life, so i went to find the troll. But i panic. And.. and Potter and Malfoy came to save me."

Draco's mouth agape, clearly shock to hear the lie that come out of Granger mouth. Harry just keep mum beside him.

Professor McGonagall take a look between the three of them, sighed, "You should know better, Ms.Granger. 20 points from Gryffindor. And 10 points each for both of you."

"Mr.Malfoy, come." Professor Snape beckon Draco. Harry pass Draco to Snape. "You too Potter. The other student is back at their dorm already."

Harry raise his eyebrow at that. Snape usually take a distance from him. Oh, well.

"Ms.Granger, you're with me." Professor McGonagall nodded at Snape. She take Hermione with her. Harry follow Draco and Snape.

Snape didn't say anything on the way to the Hufflepuff common room. Harry notice that Snape foot did not get hurt. Did that mean that Snape did not go after Quirell? Did Voldemort succeed?

"There." Snape said, stopping near the Hufflepuff barrel.

"Thank you, Sir." Harry said respectively, nodded at Draco, "Night Drake."

"Night Harry." Draco wave.

Snape look at them weirdly, turning around without words. Draco following behind him quickly.

Harry look at them walk off in the distance. When their shadow is gone, Harry Potter is gone too.
