YOU DID NOT ASK ( Part 2)

When Mu Lingxi was about to get her hands on the wand, Long Yue hugged her from her back. Feeling Long Yue's breath just next to her ears Lingxi felt butterflies in her stomach. She never had any interaction with the opposite sex at this proximity.

"Where do you think you're going?" Long Yue asked Lingxi while he was still panting. He was too preoccupied to stop Mu Lingxi from getting the wand that he fails to notice Lingxi's complexion started to turn red.

Just like Lingxi, Long Yue had no idea how to interact properly with the opposite sex. He grew up together with his brothers and he never had a chance to know how to handle girls properly. He will never know how his action sent Mu Lingxi's bottled up emotion in disarray.

Feeling the heat on her face Lingxi tried to recall some self-defense move from her previous life. She crossed her arms over her chest, open her hands, palm facing her body. Then she abruptly tossed her head upwards. Using that momentum as a borrowed force she squatted, reaching the ground in her front pushing Long Yue away with her back, knocking him off. This is the move that she learned from watching Charlie's Angel movie before. The hands of Houdini.

Long Yue felt his vision turning dark from that move.

"How many tricks a girl like her can hide under her sleeves?!" he wondered as he saw three small stars running around his head. Despite getting pummeled by Mu Lingxi, he still can't deny the fact that this girl picked his interest this time for sure.

"Sigh.... am I slowly turning into a masochist???" he asked himself. He almost wanted to cry badly this time as he covered his black-eyed face.

"I found him!!!!! Quick come over here, I finally found where the young prince was hiding!"

A palace maid suddenly spotted Prince Long Yue's back near the foot of the hill. She immediately called the other palace maids who were searching the entire palace since this morning.

Many of the guests already arrived at the banquet, and they were greeted by a sumptuous feast.

It was already late afternoon but the royal family was still nowhere to be seen. Everyone was wondering why no one from the royal family was still showing up on the banquet. The guests were there, the foods were splendid. But the host and most importantly the birthday celebrant was missing in action. Eventually, the guest realized that something was amiss. They tried asking the palace maids serving the foods but everyone was tongue-tied and refuse to reveal any information about what was happening.

Unknowingly, this young prince chooses to go missing on his birthday celebration. The royal palace was in chaos looking for him all over the place.

Dozens of palace maid made their way towards the foot of the hill.

"Prince Long Yue, we have been looking for you since morning. Where have you been?" Madam Choi asked as she walked closer to Long Yue. She was the head of the palace maids and she was the one who used to attend Long Yue's need since he was a child. In some way, she was like Long Yue's nanny.

Before she could even reach Long Yue, she saw a lady standing not too far away. She had a look of contempt on her delicate face. She was a beauty, Madam Choi notices right away.

The type of beauty that can cause the downfall of a nation. Albeit, this beautiful lady has an unkempt appearance, her face was soiled, even her dress had some tears and was not in place. Her wavy hair was all over her face and had some dirt still clinging on it. It seems that she had been rolling around the grass field. If the lady was not within the palace grounds, Madam Choi might suspect that someone takes advantage of this lady

Then her eyes shifted to Prince Long Yue. Upon closer look, she saw that Prince Long Yue has the same unkempt appearance. Less the black eye that ruined his beautiful face.

Her eyes darted from Long Yue to Mu Lingxi back and forth. She can't believe what she was seeing. It seems that their young and innocent prince was long gone. He was celebrating his name-day in a different way. That is why he had been missing since early this morning.

When the other palace maids arrived, they were all too shocked to see their young prince together with a beautiful young miss. Both had an unkempt appearance and was all alone at an isolated place like the foot of the hill, rolling all around the grass field.

They blushed due to their silly dirty thoughts. They will surely not thought that these two youngsters have been fighting like cats and dogs just a while ago. Their thoughts continued to be left astray and fly far far away from the truth. As they imagine what happens between the two, especially when they noticed that both of them were still panting heavily.

When Long Yue noticed that the palace maids were secretly smiling and was trying too hard to hide it from him, he realized that their imagination started to run wild.

"It's not what you're thinking!!!" he blurted out. But his futile attempt to clear his image makes them more suspicious.

"Prince Long Yue was too naive. He thought that his denial would change anything. Yet his face says otherwise" one of the gossipy palace maids said to another palace maid in her right in a hushed voice.

The two made a light chuckling sound but they immediately recovered and assumed a straight face.

Hearing how those maids addressed this unruly bastard, Mu Lingxi was dumbfounded. She would never imagine that this unreasonable man was a prince, and to think that his name was Long Yue. Isn't it the same prince who was celebrating his 18th name-day today? The same reason why they attended this banquet?

If it is your birthday, then go drink and eat your way! Celebrate until you can! What are you doing messing around with a cat?! Mu Lingxi had a strong urge to scold this young prince.

" Why you didn't tell me that you're a prince?!!!" Mu Lingxi asked him in gritted teeth.

"Because you never ask!" Long Yue lashed at her in gritted teeth as well.

MARRIED TO THE QUEEN OF DARKNESS

It was a fantasy romance matched with a cute tsundere female lead.

I also tried to put a comedic undertone on it making it a romatic comedy at the same time.

I hope you could try that one as well.

Thanks in advance.

Love lots! *^__^*

BTW, if you are a Filipino reader, you could also checked out the Tagalog Version of Queen of Darkness. I happen to translate it.
