‘I don’t want to get caught again!’

I huffed as I stood there covered in some mud and two electrical taser in my hand, The path was pretty much covered, it took me only 4 hours to come by this clear path. It was a bit fun though, as I turned behind to see my handiwork an entire trail of guards zapped with taser decorated the pathway. Chris might me coming here following this path so I better hurry, he must have started his journey!

I walked ahead as I could see the foot of the hillock and a open part of the fence, there were guards stationed very far away from there. No matter how I looked at it I felt something suspicious, why would they keep an open area and that too without security!? The hillock was covered with small trees and bushes, I could already see some hare running across the green freely. 'Okay! There is no time to think' I didn't risk touching the fence and was expecting the open area must be full of sensors or laser alarm system. So I crawled across the floor commando style deciding not to take any risk, as I was completely to the other side of the fence I ran into the bushes on the hillock. I turned to check if any guard noticed me, to my surprise no one did! And there was no alarm noise so I guess the open part of the fence didn't have any sensors either.

"Finally!" I said to myself, taking a big breath of relief, it had been a very happening day for me since last night. No matter how I had been before, this time I won't be running away from my responsibilities and neither will I fret away from situations. I got up and disappeared into the thick forest on the hillock, even if I had left the mansion premises chris had told me to meet him at the top, 'like hell I would!'

I walked and climbed through all the marshy and uneven terrain, it got tougher as I had already replenished my stamina and my strength. I was hungry since morning and have been alert and fighting AND constantly on the move for the last 6 hours. I could tell the top was near so as I approached it, rather than going there I walked towards my right direction and if I was correct it will lead me straight in the direction of main gate of the mansion.

I finally fell down on my knees as the sun was above my head and I was severely dehydrated. I needed to find food and water ASAP! I didn't have the strength to hunt and cook for myself, plus the risk of giving away my location was too much. I checked the little bag of supplies I got from a guard after electrocuting him with 2 tasers, the badge helped me sneak into a small base they had at the other corner. Lucky I got some water and snacks there, I couldn't go back and drink water but I brought some snacks along with me.

There was a protein bar and some gummies, I looked at the sky and found myself some shade to sit under. Under a huge tree I sat down and gulped the protein bar forcefully down my oesophagus, I didn't eat the gummies as they would do nothing but add to my dehydration. I was on the move for a very long time and before I could move now I needed to rest! Yes food and water was most needed but it wasn't really possible right now so I decided to replenish my energy by some sleep. I walked a little further till I found the perfect spot on a tree, it was a huge tree with big branches and it was perfect for me. I climbed up and adjusted myself in a cramped yet comfortable way, I was a light sleeper so me moving in my sleep was very rare. Having finally removed all the tension of being discovered from my head I closed my eyes and gave in to all the fatigue My body had faced.

I was running behind the car again, the same alley and the same neighbourhood, the car speed off and my tiny legs gave up in the midst of the road. The snow fell on my face as I looked up to see the first ever most unfortunate snowfall in my life. My pain was innumerable, my mom just abandoned in a dark alley in another country.

"Aphie dear" I heard a familiar voice. It was the same scene but there was someone else in it this time, someone to actually save me! As I turned around I grew up older and older and when I turned, I saw that familiar face filled with care and love- Samara stood there her arms extended as she called me in for a hug. I ran straight to her and embraced her warm presence, I felt at home in the arms of a loving mom.

I opened my eyes slowly as there was a light drizzle and the water droplets brought me back to the cruel reality. I smiled as I had nearly forgotten about her in just a month, but the love and care I got from her never left me. 'Wonder what she is doing right now?' Me and samara had a deal, if anyone of us gets caught we don't reveal of other person. That was a stupid deal, now that I think of it the deal only benefitted her. Well I am out now so what does it matter!

I got down from the tree and removed my jacket and joggers keeping it safe under some bug leaves. I went ahead into the rain and let it wash my past self off me, I was ready to face whatever is to come. And this time I won't fight wagering my life I'll make sure of it!

The sky was cloudy so I couldn't tell what time of day it was, so I decided to wait till the rain stopped. I got a clean leaf and made a bowl out of it, collecting the rainwater in it and finally satiated my thirst. I was no longer dehydrated and had those remaining gummy bears in the backpack.

I went back under the tree to avoid getting any more wet, my clothes were safe so that won't be a problem. The problem would be if the rain didn't stop I would get stuck here! And the more I stay around here my chances of getting caught increases. 'I don't want to get caught again!'
