Chapter - 5

(Mia P.O.V)

Next day I get up early and get ready to go and find a job, I get down to see my mom making breakfast.

"Good morning mom is the breakfast ready," I ask her.

"Yes, dear," she said and give me a plate full of sausages and crumble eggs.

"Are you ready to find a job?" she asks and I nodded at him.

"Do you have all your documents ready and do you check it to make sure," she asks and I nodded at her. I get up from my table and put my dish in the sink then wash my hand.

"I am leaving mom," I said to my mom and goes to the corridor and put my shoes.

"All the best sweetie," she said.

"Thank you, mom," I said and walk out of the door. I get into my car and set the address of Nara building enterprises in the GPS system and drive away. I reach there in 20 minutes and walk into the building.

"Can I help you miss?" the receptionist who is in the same age as I ask me.

"I have come for the post you are looking for," I said to her.

"You will directly talk to the boss, so follow me," she said and led me to the top floor of the building.

"This is our boss office, you can enter the office after knocking the door," she said then walked away. I knock two times and enters the office.

"You," I asked shocked.

(Flashback)

I was running home after visiting Gynecologist when I bump into someone and fall down in the ground.

The person who bumped to me ignores me and run away.

"That's rude," I said to myself while sitting up.

*I wonder who is he and why he is running like hell, anyway that is not my problem.* I thought then look at my watch.

"Shit," I said and get up fast then run away.

(Flashback ends)

"You are rejected," he said to me and I walk away from his office with a sad face. I go out of the building and sit on the ground next to my car looking down at my hands while crying.

"Hey, beautiful," a familiar voice said to me and I look up to see Edan smiling at me. I wipe my tears and give him a tight smile.

"Mia," he said in shock when he saw it's me.

"I can't believe it's you Edan," I said looking at him.

"Long time no sees, huh, it's nice to meet you again, how are you?" he asked smiling at me.

"I am fine, what about you?" I ask smiling at him.

"I am good thanks for asking, how are your studies going on?" he asks screeching his hand towards me to help me stand up and I accept it gladly.

"Very well, it's almost finished, the only thing remains, is to find a place where I will continue my practice," I said and he pushes me up.

"Have you found anything yet?" he asked.

"Noone accepts me because I am too young and they don't trust me," I said getting upset.

"I am new in this city and I don't know anyone who can help me," I said and sighed.

"Today is your lucky day follow me," he said

"Where?" I ask.

"I am working here," he said and showed me his identity card.

"You are kidding me right," I ask him.

"Why? What's wrong?" he asks confused.

"I am already rejected, by your boss," I said frustratedly.

"Really? Nate did that?" he ask dumbfounded.

"Of course he did, he is so mean," I said.

(Edan P.O.V)

"I am already rejected, by your boss," she said frustratedly.

"Really? Nate did that?" I ask dumbfounded.

"Of course he did, he is so mean," she said.

*No, no, no, no, no Nate can't do that I know him from my childhood. We are childhood buddies. I know he is having a hard time since that incident and can snap at someone when he is in stress but he has a big heart and he didn't reject someone without giving them a chance.* I thought.

"Hahaha I don't think we are talking about the same person," I said laughing nervously.

"He is very cold and means to me," she said getting upset.

"Maybe he had a bad day today and he let it out on you," I said to her.

"Don't tell me he isn't always like that?" she said or rather asked me.

"Of course, no he is a very kind and friendly person," I said to her proudly.

"That's weird, I douth we are talking about the same person," she said scowling.

*She hasn't changed as she and I guess will never change,* I thought and internally shake my head at her.

"Listen to me, I will talk to him okay?" I ask her.

"You will not achieve anything," she said sadly.

"We don't know until we don't try, and we will not lose anything if we try," I said to her.

"You will lose your time," she said and looked at me.

*Such a stubborn girl she is!* I thought and sighed internally.

"Give me your number and I will call you after I talk to him," I said and we exchange our numbers.

"Thank you Edan," she said and hug me, I hug her back then she said goodbye and drive away.

I walk to the office, greet everyone in the office and walk to the Nate office to see him sitting on the chair with his head on his hands.

"Hello, Nate," I said to him with a smile on my face.

"Edan?" he asks looking up at me.

"I didn't expect to see you here," I said and take a seat in front of him.

"I stayed here to check the work going on the latest projects," he said sitting straight.

"You like to spend a lot of time in your office as always right Nate?" I ask him.

"My office is the only place where I can have some peace," he said laying back on his chair and looking at the ceiling like it is the most interesting thing in the world.

"I saw you here a lot of times it's happening again right?" I ask getting worried.

"I don't know how but I feel like this time it will happen," he said with a smile.

"I am happy to hear that I wish it too that this time you really become a father, you and Aana deserve to be happy," I said to him with a smile on my face.

"I don't ask for anything more expect than to have a child, I want this more than everything in the world," he said seriously.

"I know dude I know how much you were waiting for this to happen, and I also want to talk to you about something serious," I said to him.

"Is it about work?" he asked.

"Yes there is a friend of mine who really need a job and she," I said but he cut me off.

"Please, Edan I am not in the mood to talk about work," he said to me but I continue anyway.

"I want you to think about her, she is a good friend of mine and she needs this post, she will don't disappoint you she is a hard worker with a great mind plus I trust her," I said to him.

"Tell her to come in 2 weeks from now, okay? I will try to help her," he said to me.

"Thank you, Nate, you are a great friend," I said to him then walk away from his office to my cabin to do some work.

At lunch break, I call Mia and tell her to meet me at our spot 2 weeks later.
