With a whimper

Percy came to a stop, the ground shook as he landed sending dust flying as his feet met the floor. Fury still evident on his face. He spun around and looked around him. Thanking his lucky stars everyone still appeared to be safe. "Percy! Are you alright" Hermione cried out as she ran to his side. Her left hand was still bleeding from a fall she had earlier. Percy nodded, he was about to charge, when he saw her blood. He bent down to inspect her injury realizing it wasn't too bad, he called some water over to start healing the damaged part of her palm.

"Percy! He's coming!" Hermione cried out, but the demigod ignored her words and the dark wizard's approach. Anger boiled inside of him, in just a few short moments Hermione had already gotten injured. If he was any later... She could have been taken from him forever!

CRACK!

The ground broke underneath their feet like a cracked window. This seemed to startle the pale snake man for a moment but he soon continued his march towards them. Percy's hands shook, pain replaced with anger. "Who? Who did this? Who hurt you!"

"My servant did," came the reply. Percy looked up at the tall, grey pastie skin with red stilted eyes looking down at him. He wore a black robe and in his hands was a pale white wand. He looked down at Percy and then at the group behind him, "ah, such beauty, truly a waste to be a low born. Still... she will make a fine broodmare."

Percy felt his patience snap at his words. He stood there, looking the snake man down, meeting his gaze. Percy's hands shook, anger flowing through him, Nico and the twins behind him squirmed, feeling unease at the pressure Percy was admitting. The demigod narrowed his green eyes, "You... you hurt her."

Lucius shook his head, trying to deny it, but Voldemort cut him off, "Yes, he did," Voldermort smiled, "What can you do about it?" Percy didn't respond, he just moved. Red eyes went wide in shock as a flash of bronze nearly cleaved his head off. If it wasn't for Voldermort's timely dodge he would have been headless. A silent banishing curse flew from the tip of Voldermort's wand, hitting Percy in the gut. It was supposed to tear his insides a part, killing him. But all it did, was push him back two steps, but the demigod still standing.

"H-how?" Voldemort asked, fear in his voice.

Percy responded with a growl, all signs of thought leaving him. He moved like he had over a hundred times in the past, as if still fighting the king of Titans his sword flashed in the darkness quicker than a snake strike. Voldemort sent spells at him, moving away to dodge his blade, although Voldermort was outmatched by the demi-god he still managed to stay one step outside of Percy's sword range i.

"Avada Kedavra!" Green mass of energy shot out from the snake man's wand making the blast of color light up in a sickly shade. Percy ducked under the spell, sweeping a struck at Voldermort's mid-section, missing only to slice through fabric only. The dark lord's eyes widened, he quickly began to fire spell after spell inn a mad fury. Percy nonpulsed simply blocked them with his shield, not a single blast could touch him. He leaped over another killing curse, the third one he had dodged today and brought his blade down hard aiming for the snake's head.

Snap!

Voldermort disapperated before the sword could reach him. Percy smiled at the fact he managed to loure the monster away, and suddenly he was in front of the person he wanted the most. Lucius. Looking afraid for his life, he turned around, ready to run, Percy guess the man's next movements, he was trying to get far enough to apparate. He wasn't going let him. The demigod grabbed the him quickly, leveling the blade on his neck.

CRACK!

Percy groaned. A spell had hit him in the back and he lost grip on the older blonde man. A few inches to the right and it would have hit his heart. Even if he still had the curse of achilles Percy might not have been able to escape without a week's recovery.

Pushing down the pain Percy got up from the rubble and saw Voldermort's malicious and deranged smile, the dark lord's eyes narrowed at him. "Soon. I will be an all powerful being... The likes of you will be no more than a bug!" He snapped at him, then grabbing the petrified Salena and nervous Lucius and promised, "Next time."

Ron's eyes widened, "No!" but before he could leave, they apparated away with a loud snap.

Hermione sent a spell at the red head knocking him out cleanly but her focus was soon came back to her beloved.

Percy dropped his sword, had they won? He looked down contemplating. Hermione ran to his side frantically checking him for injuries. He grabbed her hand and looked into her beautiful Amber brown eyes.

"Percy..." Hermione cried. Percy he held her close, he didn't care how long he did. He looked at the other three boys they looked tired and haggard but still safe.

"Why did Salena go with them?" Percy asked feeling bewildered.

"She was on their side from the beginning." Hermione explained much to his horror.

Percy's heart felt sour, How is that even possible?

Slowly thunder clouds began to form and the sky poured out it's rain. He reached down to hold Hermione tighter while she cried along with the downpour. He managed to ward off most of the rain from drenching them but Nico and the twins weren't as lucky.

"We need to go. Everyone isn't accounted for, we need to leave and regroup." Nico said being the voice of reason. Percy shook his head and looked down at the weeping girl in his embrace.

KABOOM!

Hermione flinched as the lightening struck. "P-Percy, we need to leave," She encouraged still feeling sadden by the betrayal.

Percy nodded and stood carrying her in his arms. Nico grabbed on to Percy's shoulder and and the two demigod latched on to Nico's he focused and the world spun as they traveled away.

One week later

Percy chose to go to Brighton. He had to pull more money from his temporary bank account for the ticket, but he would rather travel to see his father face to face. The only beach he could remember from his tour guide pamphlet was Brighton, which the text described as Londoners' go-to vacation location for its proximity to the capital, only an hour away with train. So he bought a round trip ticket at the Victoria Station and mounted himself into the train. As soon as he sat himself down in one of the empty window seats, raindrops began to fall and make their marks on the window. Percy rested his chin with his right hand and gazed outside, his left fingers drumming rhythmically on the plastic table.

He almost regretted leaving the Order in haste. If Hermione begins to look for him and finds him missing, she would very likely become afraid, and he did not want to make her afraid again. He bit his lips decidedly. The conversation to come would have to be a quick one.

An hour passed more quickly than he expected, and soon he was sauntering down the hill of a street toward the sea at its foot. He could feel the salted breeze, the thick humidity from the moisture, and his lips curled into a grin. He missed all of it when he was staying in London.

When he arrived at the beach, its shore speckled with shiny pebbles, a familiar man was already waiting for him. Percy thought of kneeling, but that sort of formality was never necessary between the two. Instead, he chose to approach him, still keeping a distance, however, bow his head in greeting.

"Father."

The man in front of him chuckled, somewhat wistfully, in response.

"Never thought I'd hear you call me that."

Percy smiled bitterly.

"You and I both know we can't do 'dad' anymore."

Poseidon sighed and turned to face Percy.

"Quite right."

The sea god had not changed at all, as Percy assumed before. His wavy hair and beard were still black, and the attire was the same Hawaiian shirt with khaki fishing shorts, complemented with flip-flops. He had the typical fatherly affectionate smile gracing his lips, but it seemed a bit more tired now.

"Does this mean you're ready to come back, son?"

Percy bit his lower lip before replying.

"It's not like I was ever left alone."

Poseidon dropped his head, disappointment apparent on his face. Percy let out a breath and quickly continued to appease his father.

"But if you meant, will I accept this world again, my answer is that I'm considering it."

The god nodded his head, understanding and appreciating his son's subtle opening. He looked up and observed Percy's face.

"You know, I've missed you." The Sea god said sounding wistful.

Percy offered a pacified smile at that. Then Poseidon's tender eyes hardened.

"Percy, tell me why you're here."

Percy pursed his lips and began with difficulty.

"Back when I was fighting a week ago with Voldermort... I felt something." Percy was hesitating now unsure how to continue.

"Aw, yes I know what you felt at that time... I felt it as well." The Sea gods warm eyes focused on his sons face as he felt pride for his offspring. "It wont be long now... I know its not something you ever really wanted but I fear it might be your fate after all..."

Percy scowled not liking the response he was given. "Tell me, what are the rules to this. I won't leave her even if I become a god."
