Still angry

"Hi.." everyone at the table answered Akira's in unison except Bia.

Then Bia said to him, "Are you looking for me?"

"Of course, honey.. you haven't finished your food." Akira smiled at her and almost said to her 'of course I'm looking for you because we are having dinner together' but he didn't say that.

"Oh.. I forgot about the food but I'm not hungry now. Can we grab some satay on our way back later?"

"Sure, honey," Akira smiled at Bia.

One of the lady teased Bia and said, "Who's this beautiful creature Bia? don't be stingy, at least introduce us first before turning us into lamp posts or mosquitoes" she winked at Akira and Akira just smiled politely at her.

Bia's face flushed and she cleared her throat before saying, "Sorry everyone.. this is my boyfriend Akira and Akira these ladies are Nicky's aunties. Lyanna, Morgan and Tasha." Bia introduced Akira to the ladies.

"Hello ladies nice to meet you and nice to see again Mrs.Davis," after Akira shook hands with the three ladies then he faced Grant's mother.

"Nice to see you Dr.Abe, how about joining us for dinner? Bia and the girls didn't see each so often and we love to have you and Bia at our table." Grant's mum politely invited Akira to join them.

"Thank.." before Akira could reply, the girl in blue "Morgan" pulled one chair from the next table and placed it next to Bia, at the same time the girl in pink dress "Tasha" pulled his hand and forced him to sit on that chair.

'This Tasha seems familiar' Akira thought. At first, Akira was reluctant to sit but seeing Bia in deep conversation with Lyanna made him agreed to join them. The moment he sat on the chair, the ladies didn't pay attention to him or Nicky. Nicky was also ignoring him, he was busy drawing. The ladies were happily talking, laughing till tears flew out of their eyes. When Akira saw tears at the corner of Bia's eyes, he passed his handkerchief to her. Actually, he wanted to wipe her tears but it seemed a little awkward if he did that so he just passed the handkerchief to her.

Out of habit, Bia passed the handkerchief back to Akira and faced him so he could wipe her tears then Akira just did what she asked even though she didn't say anything but he understood what she wanted.

That sweet scene was like a knife twisting Mrs.Davis' and the girls' hearts. Their mind started to wander and many questions popped up in their heads, did Grant come too late? won't Grant have a chance to be with Bia again? does Bia really forget Grant? does she really really fall in love with this Akira guy?. Their train of thoughts stopped when the phone in Mrs.Davis' bag rang then she quickly answered it, "Oh, alright.. we'll be out in a minute, bye." she ended the call.

Next Mrs.David said, "Dr.Abe, thank you for joining us. And Bia, if you have time please do come to our house so all of you girls can spend more time."

Mrs.Davis words made the situation a little awkward so Morgan chimed in, "Aunty, it's boring to spend our time at home.. we are not children anymore, we don't need playdate. Ehmm.. Bia, how about we go shopping together and I really miss Kim and Ema so much. We can have girls night out this weekend or anytime, your call B"

"That's a great idea," Lyanna said.

The atmosphere was back to the lively one. Once the girls agreed to meet up again and of course Kim and Ema will be joining them, they got up from their seats.

Akira settled all the bills before Mrs.Davis could reached the cashier and everyone thanked Akira for the meals. After that, they walked out of the restaurant together but suddenly Nicky ran out so fast and shouted, "Daddy.."

Grant was walking towards them and seeing Nicky ran to him he stopped and bent down to carry his beautiful boy up and asked, "Did you have fun today?"

"Yes, daddy.. we went to the mall and played in Kid's Zone I also finished my food like you asked me. Can we go there again, daddy.. please?"

"Good boy, yes.. will go again next time."

"I'm sleepy daddy, I want to go home." Nicky put his head on Grant's shoulder. The next second Nicky lifted up his head and then he said, "Oops, daddy I forgot to say goodbye to Ms.Rees."

"Let's go and say goodbye to her."

Bia and Akira said their goodbye to the ladies when Grant and Nick approached them.

"Sorry Ms.Rees, I forgot to say goodbye. Bye Ms.Rees and Mister."

"Bye Nicky, good night," Akira and Bia said that at the same time.

Nicky was really sleepy, after saying goodbye he put his head back on Grant's shoulder and closed his eyes.

"Hi, Mr.Abe." Grant said that to Akira and put his hand out.

"Hi, Mr.Davis." Akira shook Grant's hand.

Bia waved her hand to Grant and said, "Hi, Mr.Davis", before Grant could put his hand out to her. He knew that she didn't want to touch him, that's why she said hi in that manner. 'Well, she avoided me again and again, let see how will she respond to this' he thought.

"Hi Bia, you look better today.. Ahh.. I remember that dress and those shoes, they are perfect on you. We should go shopping more often and rescue the poor display products," Grant gave her the brightest smile ever.

Bia's jaw dropped, her eyes opened wide then she squeezed Akira's hand tightly. 'Since when I went shopping with him' she thought. Grant did it on purpose to make her mad for not shaking his hand. They didn't go shopping together but he was the one following her around the other day. Bia was worried Akira would get the wrong message so she looked at Akira's face but she could see nothing from Akira's expression.

It felt like forever, because no one was talking for a few minutes. At last after trying to calmed herself down Bia was ready to say something but then Akira let go of her hand and put his hand on her shoulder, pulled her body closer to him and stopped Bia from talking.

"Mr.Davis, thank you so much for accompanying and taking care of Bia the other day. I really appreciate it," then Akira turned to look at Mrs.Davis and her nieces.

"Thank you for spending your time with us ladies. Good night everyone, bye," Akira tightened his hugged and gave Bia a signal to say her goodbye again.

"Alright, bye aunty, bye girls," Bia said her goodbye but Akira didn't wait for their reply, he just turned around whilst holding Bia and left the place as fast as possible.

Akira didn't say anything since they got in the car, he was extremely angry. He drove the car silently, his eyes fixed on the road, his knuckles turned white from gripping the steering wheel tightly and he clenched his jaw so hard. Bia tried to open her mouth a few times but Akira stopped her, he just simply put one hand up to stop her from talking.

After about fifteen minutes of silence, the car stopped and the next thing Bia saw was Akira got out of the car and left her alone. She was pondering weather to follow him or not. When Akira came back to the car ten minutes later, he was holding a plastic bag full of satay.

A smile appeared on Bia's face and said, "thanks Akira" then she kissed him.

Akira still give her nothing, no answer, no kiss so she kissed him more, "still angry my darling? hmm?" she said that between the kiss.

Well, how could he stay mad at her? once her lips touched his, all his anger had gone completely into the thin air. It was not her fault to begin with but he didn't like the fact that she and Grant were walking or strolling together.

Again Bia asked, "still angry?"

"No," he kissed her back fiercely, he was so scared to lose her. His kiss was so desperate and Bia could feel his feelings that made her sad till her tears flowing from her eyes.

Akira stopped kissing her when he saw her tears, "sorry honey, did l hurt you?"

"No.."

"Then? why are you crying?"

"Akira, please trust me.. I'll be with you."

"Really honey?"

"Hmm.." Bia nodded her head and at that romantic moment her stomach started to rumble.

"Hahaha, that's the cue for us to go home," Akira stepped on the gas pedal.

"Shut up Akira."

They reached Bia's house in ten minutes and Kim was at home with green face mask on her face, bunny pyjamas and popcorn in her hands.

"Wow guys, you are the best. I'm starving," Kim said that and grabbed the satay from Akira's hands.

Bia washed her hands, Kim put the satay on the plates and brought them to the living room so Bia and her could eat and watch TV. Akira didn't join them.

"I'll go freshen up first, enjoy the food girls,"

Bia and Kim put their thumbs up and couldn't reply him with their mouth full. Akira shook his head and he knew that those two girls would ignored the world when they were eating their favourite food.

After Akira moved all his things to his apartment, he was supposed to stay there but Kim asked him to stay with them in Bia's house. She said for safety purposes so he agreed to her whilst Bia had no comment about it.

Erica left the island the very next day.

Bia and Akira had a peaceful life for a month. As the saying goes the calm before the storm.
