It's A Fun Day

'Huh, why didn't I see this coming.. give me a break and I feel like breaking his leg', Bia couldn't say all of that instead through gritted teeth she greeted him, "Good morning Mr.Davis and good morning Nicky". Bia held Nicky's hand and led Nicky to his table and ignored Grant and Mrs.Adams. By the look on Mrs.Adams' face, she wanted to flirt with that scumbag.

"Mr.Davis, thank you for agreeing to this. Really appreciate it, even....", that's all Bia could hear before she left them at the door. She couldn't hear anything after that over the noise that the kids made.

"Bia, sorry I'm little late", said Ema and she was panting. Ema is the assistant teacher for Bia's class.

"You are not late, Ema.. have a sit first and breathe..", Bia and the kids were picking up the toys on the floor, they need to keep the toys before they go for the field trip.

"Thanks, I need to breathe now. What time are we leaving?", Ema said.

"8.15am and it's ten minutes from now so we better start packing our stuffs". Once the toys placed in their place, Bia asked the kids to pack their bag and bring the things they need.

"Is everyone ready?"

"Yes, Mrs.Rees..", the kids answered her cheerfully.

"Alright, let's check our list.. water bottle?", Bia asked the kids.

"Checked", the kids answered.

"Lunch box?"

"Checked".

"Hat?"

"Checked".

"Sunscreen?"

"Checked".

"Mozzie patch?"

"Checked".

"No Checked", some of the kids said.

Bia smiled when she heard the answers and said "Whoever doesn't have the mozzie patch, come to me, please".

Then all the kids circled around her.

Grant was looking at her this whole time, he always knew that Bia loves kid and so good with kids. 'How wonderful if they have kid on their own and Bia will be a very good mother for their kid', he thought. But he didn't know that they had a kid before, if only he knows about that.

The children's voice pulled him out from his daydream.

"Yayyy, let's go..."

Before they left the class, Ema whispered in Bia's ear, "Bia, will you be okay with that guy coming with us?",

"I'm fine, Ema.. and thanks". Yes, everyone in the Island knows what happened between Grant and Bia, that includes Ema.

They were taking the bus to The Spice Garden, the kids were so happy and they kept asking Bia and Ema about how long till they reached there.

The bus just left the school but Lily, she's one of the student asked Bia, "Ms.Rees, are we there yet?". Hearing the question made Bia laughed, then she answered, "Not yet, Lily.. we've just left the school and we can still see our school, let's enjoy the ride. How about we sing together".

It was a fun ride, the journey took about half an hour, they sang many songs and played 'Knock Knock Jokes' but time to time the kids would asked if they've reached the place already or how long would it take.

While everyone was having a good time, Bia felt very uncomfortable because she could feel someone was staring at her and if those were not eyes but laser, by now there would be a hole in Bia's head.

Grant didn't care about how Bia felt because this was the first time he could stay this close with her after they were apart so he just enjoy the view in front of him, which was Bia.

The Spice Garden is a living museum of spice and tropical plants, that includes varieties of beautiful flowers. It is a very beautiful place. Once they reached there the kids couldn't wait to explore the place but they only took a few mini tours which were the water garden, the spice globe and the best tour according to the kids was the slides and ladders. It would be too tiring for the kids to take the whole garden tour.

Anyway, the children really enjoyed learning about spices and other tropical plants.

Their last stop was the slides and ladders, even Bia loved playing in that colourful playground, it's the gigantic version of snakes and ladders board game.

"Be careful kids, take turn, please.. and try not to run so fast. Oh my, I'm old.. I can't run behind them anymore", Bia said to Ema.

But Grant answered her instead of Ema, "No, you are still young and beautiful".

"I'm not talking to you", Bia snapped at him.

"You are talking to me now and Bia, please don't just walk away, please..", Grant said that when he saw Bia about to follow Ema escaping from the awkward situation.

"As you are aware Mr.Davis, I'm working now", then she walked away from him and in return he followed behind her.

"Okay.. than I'm here to help you Bia".

"Stop following me, Grant".

"I'm helping... up you go boy", Grant lifted one boy after another up to the higher step so they could slide down the slide. While Bia was tying some of the girls' hair into ponytails, all that running and jumping messed their hair . "Bia, I'm so sorry for what I did the other day and so sorry for what I've done to you last time. Let's talk somewhere else next time, I'll explain everything, please.. prefer somewhere quiet".

Bia rolled her eyes to the heaven and said, "I'm not interested".

"Don't decide now, let me know when you are ready.. I'll wait Bia..".

Suddenly, a few other teachers came and joined them.

"Oh, there you are Mr.Davis.. and thank you for coming, you are so helpful", Ms.Cindy from next door class was talking and giggling at the same time and shoved Bia gently away from Grant. That's the cue for Bia to leave and she happily left the group. Grant was trying to escape as well but all his efforts failed, this group was so clingy and guarded him securely. Bia and Ema laughed at him when they saw his pleading eyes from far. Of course Ema would not help Grant a bit because she is in 'team Akira' and Ema knows what Bia went through.

"It's a fun day after all", Bia sneered at Grant while saying that. Then Ema answered her, "I'm glad to be here".
