Day One Part 5

Jake started running. 'I must be getting soft. Why was I letting a woman tell me the terms of an agreement on a relationship he wanted.'

'Why was his chest hurting at the thought of her leaving. Normally he would of kicked someone out and punished them for standing up to him.'

'Pull your self together man you are Jake Smith Wolf. You are the big bad wolf of the business world. You chew up anything and everything that stand in your way.'

'How can this little red head make him feel things he has never felt in his life.'

'If I was smart I would just let her leave and never look back... but what if she is the one?'

Jake ran the track of the park as he talked to himself. Soon he was tired and headed back to the dog run.

Lillian was still there but Toby was back on his leash and sitting at her feet.

"Done?"

"Yes, Toby's new friend had to leave and he wanted out of the fenced area."

"Good I need a shower now lets head back." He walked off.

Lillian seen a small change in his attitude and was puzzled. She got up and followed him. He walked at a fast pace and soon disappeared out of view.

Toby was taking his time and by the time they reached the building he had already gone up.

"Welcome back Miss."

"Thank you Denny. Can I ask a question?"

"Sure"

"Mr. Wolf how often does he have girls stay with him?"

He hesitated for a moment before saying, "You are the first and only girl he has had here."

She was surprised, "Really?"

"Really Miss."

As she was talking to the doorman the elevator came back down and Toby and her step in.

She unhooked Toby and he ran back to the couch and fell asleep.

Lillian went to the bedroom to unpack once more. She heard the shower running so she was relieved he would not be underfoot as she put away her cloths.

'Happy Happy your boss is calling'

When her phone rang she knew it was Carrie by the ring song and answered it.

"Hey Carrie, What do you need?"

'Just calling to make sure you are not tied up by the creep.'

"No I am still ok"

'Good. By the way where is the goulash recipe I can't find it?"

"Should be in the recipe box."

'No but Cornbread was in the G's'

"Then look under C I must of put them in wrong."

'Ok... yes I found it.'

"Anything else boss?"

'No just please be careful. We really can just find another place.'

"I know but I need to do this. This was Nana's life and she was the one that found this place for you so I will do what I can to keep it."

'Just don't do anything your granny would frown at'

"Never 'Frowning take years off your life while smiles make you live forever'"She said tring to sound like her Nana.

'Your granny had a way with words. Got to go now call me anytime if you need me.'

"Ok love ya bye."

Jake had come out of the bathroom while she was on the phone. He was listening to her.

"Frowning take years off your life while smiles make you live forever?"

Lillian jump that man was a quiet walker.

"Don't sneak up on me like that." She held her heart.

She then noticed that he was bare chested and he had a towel wrapped around his waste. He was very handsome and she could feel herself flush at the site of him.

He laughed "Sorry I wasn't sneaking. So the saying 'Frowning take years off your life while smiles make you live forever.'"

"It something my Nana use to say."

"Oh... You can take a shower or bath next."

She looked at the clock and it read eight. "Thank you I will."

Not wanting to stare at him she quickly grabbed her sleeping shorts and tank top and locked her self in the bathroom.

Jake smiled, he had seen the lust in her eyes and the redness of her cheeks. She was interested in him as a man. Now to just wait and give her the opportunity to fall into his trap.

Lillian stood in the shower and turned water heat up. Her body was turning red all over.

'Stupid stupid me' She was trying to wash away the lust that she felt for this man.

'You are better then that. Pull yourself to gather girl. Save your self for Mr. Right not Mr. Wolf.'

As she stood there berating herself she finally calmed down. She washed her hair and body then got out. The towel was on the warming rack felt nice and cozy.

As she took a look in the mirror she ran her fingers through her hair. When ever her hair gets wet it shrink to a third of its link and becomes very curly.

She looked for a hair dryer put could not find one. She would need to run home tommarow to get hers. As she stared at her reflection she always thought she was pretty.

Jake put on a pair of sleeping shorts and was laying in bed when she came out of the bathroom. He was stunned to see the short curly red hair. She was more beautiful this way. He wanted to grab her and hold her and play with her curls.

He could tell she must of took a really hot shower because her body was red looking like someone slapped her all over. Why would she do that.

He noticed that she was just standing there. "You can sleep on that side. I promise These big teeth won't bite."

"Ok" She walked over and slid under the covers.

"I like the new look."

She was puzzled and the touched her curls. "Happens when my hair gets wet. I could not fine a hair dryer to straighten it."

"Go buy on tommarow."

"I can just run to my place for mine. I should of packed it but Zane came so early I was not thinking."

"Sorry, I just wanted to start early."

"Ok it's fine. I'll set my alarm for six. Night"
