Why?

Later that day, Dracula returned to take his things. On his way to the room he used to sleep in, he ran into Satan.

"Sorry!" he said quickly. 'Damn it. I wanted to avoid her' he thought at the same time.

"Don't worry. It was I who wasn't looking where I was going." She calmly explained, but was sure not to start babbling. She then bent down to pick up what looked like notes for a case, as she was a lawyer, he didn't make an attempt to help, since he knew that they were confidential. She didn't mind that he didn't offer his help and she didn't ask for it.

"I have one question for you, before I leave."

"I'm kind of busy preparing for a case, but I guess I can answer one question."

"Why?"

"Why, what? I don't understand."

"Why were you unfaithful?"

"I already told you, but I will tell you again. I did it because you didn't trust me after all those years. Matter of fact, you didn't even love me. I did it because you only slept in the same room as me when you wanted something from me. And I was foolish enough to believe that you were feeling ill." She responded. The irony clear in her voice.

"And I am sorry for that, but as you now see I had a reason to do so."

"No, you didn't. I did it that once. Immediately when I returned home, I told you what happened. Hoping you would forgive my sins, but you didn't, and probably never will."

"Thank you, "

"For?"

"Answering my question."

"It was the least I could do for you. Did you find somewhere to stay the night?"

"Yes. Why do you ask?"

"Just interested."

"Goodbye, "

"Yes, goodbye."

Dracula then got some of his things and left for the night. Satan knew he would be back tomorrow morning to get the rest of his belongings, but for now, she could relax.
