After The Banquet ( Part 2 )

Uncle Hwan's POV

I didn't know that coming back I would be back to hear such a news that would cause such a heavy blow to me. I never expect the younger sister that I've treasured and cared for would be killed so ruthlessly. Moreover it was done by someone that she took in personally. Someone she once cared for. No one had expected anything like this would happen to her. I know that she wouldn't want me to take revenge for her even if people had wronged her. She's just to kind hearted. I still remember the whole country was in a bad condition after her death because the whole country mourn for her. That shows how much they love her as their queen and ruler. She deserved what she had. I didn't have the chance to take Seok Jin and Ro Won with me when she passed away. Their father decided to take care of them because they are the ones that remind him of her. 

"Uncle let's go." Seok Jin said. 

I follow him to his father's chamber. I wonder if his father know about what happened yesterday. 

"Seok Jin, does your father know about yesterday?" I asked. 

"Yeah he knows. I think Rodrick had told him." Seok Jin said. 

"Is he getting better?" I asked. 

"Well I'm still waiting for Jung Kook's potion. He needs to do some changes to the potion because the poison that she gave him was different from what they normally have in the market." Seok Jin said. 

"Hmm." I hummed. 

"Uncle please go in. I will not disturb the two of you." Seok Jin said. 

I walk in the chamber to see Seok Jin's father lying there.

"Hwan how come you're here?" He said. 

"Jung Heon how are you?" I said.

"Well as you can see now. I'm sorry for all the things that had happened to your sister." Jung said. 

"It's ok. It was not your fault. I was also wrong that year. I shouldn't have let Hwa Yeong let her in." I said. 

"Hyung it���s not your fault. No one expected that Hwa Yeong had brought in a devil to her own house." Jung Heon said. 

"If that year I didn't allow her to come into the palace. Probably Hwa Yeong will still be here with us now." I said. 

"Hyung I'm also at fault for letting her into the palace. Who knew that a commoner would covet the queen's place? I'm also at fault." Jung Heon said. 

"But there's nothing that we can do right now. All we hope that Hwa Yeong could leave in peace. I hope that Seok Jin's friend will be able to break the spell so that Hwa Yeong will be free." I said. 

"Hmm." Jung Heon said. 

"Father, Uncle Hwan can I come in now?" Seok Jin said. 

"Yeah sure." I said. 

I thought he will be coming in alone. Little did I know that he brought someone with him. When I look up, I saw her again. My beloved sister. I thought my eyes saw the wrong thing. When I blink again and still see her, I was shocked. I look towards Jung Heon he had the same reaction as mine.

"Hwa Yeong." I said. 

"Brother." She said running into my embrace. 

I hugged her and she felt so real. She's still alive. I couldn't believe this. I really can't believe my own eyes that my younger sister that I've missed all this year is well and alive in my embrace.

"Uncle I know what you're thinking. My eomma is no longer alive. This is her soul that was stuck in the palace where I'm staying. The reason why I could feel her presence every night was because she was still there all this time. I didn't know about this until yesterday Yoon Gi told me." Seok Jin explained. 

"My love." Jung Heon weak voice called. 

"Yeobo." Hwa Yeong said and walk towards Jung Heon. 

"I miss you so much. I'm so sorry. If that year…." Hwa Yeong put a finger on his lips to stop him from talking. 

"I don't blame you Heon-ah. It wasn't your fault. No one knew what the future holds for us. This will really be the last time I see you because this is the limit of Jung Kook's power. After this he will need time to break the spell so I came to say good bye to both of you." Hwa Yeong said. 

"Hmm. That's great Hwa Hwa. After so many years of suffering, you can finally be free." I said. 

"Yes oppa." Hwa Yeong said smiling at me.

I engraved that smile of her in my mind. I will never forget this smile of hers. My beautiful, kind and lovely little sister. 

"Goodbye Heon-ah, hyung and Seok Jin. Please continue to live happily like how you guys had all these while." Hwa Yeong said and she slowly fades off.
