Illusion

Lilac's POV

I woke up with a pounding headache. It felt like I forgot something but I don't know what is it. I walk out of my room to see Ji An sitting there talking to Hazel.

"Good morning Lilac." Hazel said.

"Oh I see that you guys have met each other. I'm happy to see that you guys are getting along well. By the way Ji An could you please get me some Panadol. My head hurts a lot." I said.

"Ok. Come and sit first." Ji An said.

"Sure." I said and walk to the sofa.

"Lilac how come you had a headache?" Hazel asked.

"I also don't know." I said.

"Here's your water and Panadol. I think you might wanna get more sleep. You eye bags looks terrible." Ji An said.

"Hmm." I said.

"It's true though." Hazel said.

"Oh by the way, why are you here Hazel?" I asked.

"I wanted to ask you to go out with me since we're free now. But seeing your condition like this I think it's better for me to head home." Hazel replied.

"Oh I see. Maybe you can spend more time with Ji An since I'm not going to be able to go out any sooner." I said.

"Hmm." Hazel said.

"Ok. I'll get some sleep first. Just leave me a note when you guys decide to leave." I said.

"Alright. Have a good rest." Ji An said.

I walk to my room and close the door. As I lied down on the bed, I reach for my phone to see if there's ay notification but there's none. I wonder what I was waiting for. I felt disappointed when I see there's no notification. I felt a sense of longing but I don't know who was it for or what was it for. Putting back my phone on the night stand. I close my eyes and drift off to sleep.

Ji An's POV

After Lilac went back to her room, the both of us wait for a while for her to fall asleep so that she wouldn't hear what we were about to say next.

"I never thought that the experiment would be so successful. Now we can proceed to the next step with no worries since she doesn't remember him." I said.

"Hmm.. Actually I don't feel good making a move like that towards Lilac. She had been nothing but kind to me. Don't you think we should stop this?" Hazel said.

"You want me to stop after the first step. How can you be so naïve Hazel?" I said.

"I just feel bad for doing all this. You do realize that Lilac doesn't deserve all this." Hazel said.

"Who said she doesn't deserve all this? It's up to my judgement not you." I said.

"Fine. I'll be leaving first and I don't want to be involve in this anymore. I don't feel good doing this to Lilac. Maybe you think that you can used me because of my mental state but I'm not sick at all. Everything was just a pretense. The one who is sick is you. Wake up Ji An. No one had offended you. It was all your illusion." Hazel said and left the room.
