And It Start

"Good evening everyone!". The emcee is getting all the people's attention. The party is going to start.

Azalea didn't hear what Ken just said a while ago, the emcee's loud greeting took her attention, but Jack and Sue did.

Jack was surprised on Kens reaction towards her.He always knew Ken is somewhat aloof to women and he can easily be disappointed by them. But in front of this little woman he seems to change his attitude.

Although a lot of women are throwing themselves to Ken only few caught his attention. But this few women don't stay very long. They end up heart broken by him. It seems like no one can live with his standard. He may be simple and cool but he have a high and difficult standard in a woman. That's how Jack assessed him.

Sue on the other hand was surprised with Ken's attitude. Today he seemed overly excited. He have a different spark on his eyes specially when he's looking at Azalea. She is so annoyed by the glutton girl who looks like a nobody but caught Kens attention. 'Will see if you can pass his standard'. A hateful thought occurred in Sue's mind.

The party is now starting and Camilla the center of this celebration is walking down the aisle up to the stage. She is wearing a Monique Lhuillier Dress for a starter and flaunt it with elegance. She look like a princess in a touch of pink gown.

Camilla's partner for tonight is Griffin Dela MonRuiz. They've been together for a while and both families are talking about engagement soon. Griffin is starting to work for his father after college just like Carlton. They also starting to make business dealings on their own but to Griffin's dismay Carlton always get the best project and best collaboration in the field and Carlton's name is being noticed in the business world. Some people are asking about his strategy and he would only answer them with "I have a very expensive fairy." And just laugh.

This event is crowded with businessmen because it was held in Diamond Shin Hotel and the old Shin is here. The numbers of businessmen in this event prove's how powerful the old man is in this country is, and everyone wants to be in his good side. Even politicians throw themselves in this event. They need a powerful back up to support them in the future and they know the Shin family is the best choice because right now they are in number one spot, if they are talking about wealth. The Son's is only in the top 30 most powerful family in the County. So thus the MonRuiz and the Antalers. While the Mullen holds the third spot and the Laurent holds the eleventh spot.

Whoever's party this is, as long as the Shin is involve everyone will come. That is why this place is really crowded. Socialites, celebrities, tycoons and moguls are all present.

That's why Camilla and her mother are so proud of themselves. They held their head up high thinking how special they are. Having such powerful people in your party is so rare.

Looking at Camilla and her mother. Azalea felt a little envious she wish her mother is still around. She'll give everything she have just to be with her even for one day.

"_" sigh.

"Azalea what's wrong, somethings bothering you?". Ken is quite worried. She just became quiet all of a sudden.

"Nothing". She smiled at him then lowered her head.

"Are you sure?". Ken is not satisfied with her answer. "Are you bored or.... missing a boyfriend?". Ken is testing the water this time.

Azalea was shocked then suddenly raised her head. 'A boyfriend me?!?'. "How I wish I have one". She just blurted out what's on her mind without any consideration.

"You can have me". A sincere and warm smile registered in Ken's handsome face.

"What!?!?". She totally froze. She don't know how to respond to Ken's suggestion or maybe this is just a joke.

Lindy is giggling. She just heard her cousin like confess to her bestfriend and Carlton is grinning from ear to ear. While Jack and Sue are fazed by Ken's word.

"As far as I know you're single and so do I". Ken keeps on staring at her not minding the dark big nerdy eyeglasses and weird headress Azalea's wearing.

'Oh my God, is this for real?.... Is he like confessing on me?'. Azalea's head is in shambles. Though her appearance is calm but inside her she's trembling in excitement. "Yeah, I am single but ahm". She choked a bit and don't know what to say next.

"But?". Ken is anticipating what she will say next. "Are you seeing someone or do you like someone already?". He became impatient and asked her directly.

"I.... I.... I would love to see your hood". Azalea stuttered and said something different. But the words itself sounds a bit disturbing. 'Damn!'. She cursed.

Everyone's jaw drop except Lindy and Carlton they burst to laughter. Azalea's innocence never seized to amaze them.

Ken felt awkward. He thinks Azalea is too innocent and don't really understand what she just said. He can see her brother and Lindy can't stop laughing. Jack almost burst out with laughter too. Only Sue snorted and feel disgusted with what she said.

Ken met a lot of women in the past and some of them makes this dirty remarks on him but never been felt awkward before. Sometimes he finds them witty and sexy but now, he can't understand why he's feeling queasy and embarrassed.

"Ahhmmm.... Azalea, what do you mean by seeing my hood?". Though he felt uncomfortable Ken still asked her in a polite tone.

"Ah..., the hood of your Bugatti, I haven't seen and touch it's engine for real". She answered innocently. Full of calm and interests.

And they were enlightened.

On the stage Camilla thought she saw Azalea looking at her. Her mind made a quick assessment. 'Maybe she's very envious at me right now..... I have the perfect party and I have the perfect man'. She intentionally flashed her a victorious smile. She hated the thought that her half sister is still in love with Griffin and want to steal him from her. She will make her very jealous to death.

The Son family is starting to thank all the people who came and all who sponsored the event and at the end they called forbMr. Tyron Shin to speak on the stage. They also want to thank him for the venue and asked him for a good word of advice. The old man slowly walk to the stage.
