It was already late when they arrived at Sam's hotel room and the silence between them killing the calm and composer that Lily was keeping till now but it was not only making situation between them awkward though silently turning more embarrassed to each other.

Hoping to break the ice of silent and awkward atmosphere in the room.

"How was your check-up today?" asked Lily thinking not to turn things more awkward between them in dead silent room as he was not ready to send her back to her friend's house as it was too late to arrive at someone's house and she cursed herself why she asked such a stupid question to begin with in her mind and put herself in this kind of situation at first.

"It was usual like before" she heard him speak in affirm tone turning his head to Lily and then turning back to his laptop screen.

He was half sitting on sofa stretching his long legs on wearing cotton light blue night shirt, carrying laptop in his lap checking his emails and covering his body upto waist with an off white blanket as he was away from work due to his health issues in past week.

Though only table lamp was on, leaving a beaming light in the room, his sharp features were clear under the dim light of that mini lamp beside the luxury cocoa sofa. She found him mesmerising and her heart skipped a beat turning her cheeks red. When she was still busy admiring his face features and praising like he was a greek-god. She felt his sharp gaze penetrating her stare, not able to hold his sudden penetrating gaze she turned her side suddenly before her mind could process anything!

Her sudden turn to other side on bed made him smile wide. He didn't expect her to stare at him like this as she seemed dazed in thoughts. He only wished that they would try to resolve things between them at least... Thinking about the incident that happened just few seconds before brought smile to his lips again and he turned his head to his laptop again immersing himself once again.

Embarrassed at her action she kept scolding and cursing herself in thought why the hell she can't keep her eyes in control! What she was just thinking. They just reunited after a decade and just few hours back! And most importantly what he would be thinking about her.

Well the crime has been committed and she was caught red handed. No escaping now!

As she thought about it, it raised her heart beat at high up only. She tried to calm down and sleep so she tried thinking some other stuffs like she was trying to sing a lullaby to herself to fall asleep like a kid but it made more difficult for her to fall asleep.

Sensing her situation, Sam said "goodnight, it's already late to fall" turning the table lamp of which was lighten up before while he was doing his work at his laptop. "or your friend would think their guest left without greetings" she heard him complete his sentence after seconds with stretching his blanket over his body.

"Goodnight to you too" she wished him back adding nothing more carefully this time.

Nothing in particular but his simple words brought peace to her mind and racing heart silencing the turmoil in her mind and heart.
