22. Meet the Jiang

After getting ready, they went to the booked private restaurant. Layla sighed, feeling numbs all over her body. She glanced at the satisfied man beside her and ignored his attempt to talk. Actually, the man lies to them, saying the dinner starts at 7. But, actually at 8.30pm. Feeling cheated, she keeps ignoring him and finally Adrian give up.

He looked at the silent woman beside him and inwardly sighed. No gown tonight. She wears a grey bodyguard suit. Using nude makeup, she tied her hair in a tight bun. She looked so perfect and tempting even without a gown or dress. He shifted uncomfortably as he started to get a boner, again. He groans internally and starts counting PI in his mind. But, barely succeed.

" We're here, Masters." Said the driver. He quickly went out and pull open the car door for them before Layla. Her head starts throbbing. She went out and take the role, shooing away the driver back into the car.

The two went out as Adrian getting amused at her awkward acts as a bodyguard. He cleared his throat and walked inside together with Evan and Layla followed from behind. Her steps were so powerful and steady, giving out an aura of the general.

Several men and women passed them but stopped at her for some times. The male ogling her like a hungry wolf, the female fiercely glared at her, hating her beauty and charming aura.

Feeling the hostility from those women and men, Layla shot out a single sharp glance, warning them out. The women shrieked in fear and ran out to save themselves. The men stood rooted insitu, not daring to move.

So fierce!!

Two waiters stand for each side of the door, waiting for their arrival. Seeing the person himself, the two waiters bowed deeply and open the room door to the dining hall. Layla stopped at the entrance and stood silently outside the room. The two waiters nod at her and left to continue their work. Soon, the dining room door opened from inside. Layla takes a glance and saw a man in black went out and stands together with her on the other side of the door.

Silence falls between the two people. Standing silently, guarding the people inside. Suddenly, a hand held out to her with a box of cigarette. Looking at the cigarette's brand, she silently took out one. Taking the lighter out, she burns the cigarette and takes a deep breath, before slowly release the smoke out with her breath.

"It has been a long time, Winter." The man started the conversation, breaking the silence.

" Um," She nodded.

" How the other?" The man asked, with a cigarette between his lips.

" Doing fine. Those bastards are hyper than people using stimulant if you are curious," The man laughed. Layla smirked, held out her fist, and do the fist bump with the man.

" Welcome home, Dom." She smiled deviously. Dominic or Dom snickered at her remark.

" Home, huh...in the past, only you will say welcome home to us." Dom inhales deeply and threw the smokes out through his nose.

" At least we had home," Layla shrugged.

" Are you with Jiang?" Layla asked. Dom nodded.

" How long?"

" Three weeks already,"

" Hmm, wanna go out after this?" Layla does the suggestion. Dom paused a moment before nodded.

" On it,"

" Blink Bar?"

" Shot," Then, the two went silent.

Both of them turned their head towards the opened door and saw a handsome young man went out clad in full-body white suits. Dom bowed, together with Layla, giving out a greeting to the man.

" Eldest Master Chang," Said Dom. Layla stunned but quickly followed.

" Eldest Master Chang," Layla turns to greet. The man nodded at the two and went out. After making sure the man is gone, Layla quickly looked at Dom with some question in her minds.

" Eldest Master Chang?"

" Yes,"

" What I know was Young Master Adrian Chang is the only heir. Where is this Eldest Master Chang popped out from?"

" The late first wife of Old Master Chang only son, Alder Chang. The current Mistress of the Chang is the second wife, Adrian Chang's mother." Dom replied casually.

" Hmm, he reeks of blood." Layla's eyes narrowed dangerously. Dom laughed out loud.

" That's normal. Alder Chang formed a mafia group and do that kind of thing a lot. Just like us,"

Inside the dining hall...

The two Uncle-Nephew pair greets the elders inside with friendly hug, handshakes, and bows. The Elder Master, Jiang Wuye laughed at the sight of these two people and intimately patting their shoulder with a hearty laugh.

"It's been a while, Adrian. And, you too also, Evan. Come, come...let this old man take a good look at you, boy!" Jiang Wuye grabs Evan's shoulder and starts gripping, groping the young boy to feel his body.

" Good muscle! Good height! Very healthy! Very good for my granddaughter, Ina." Old Man Jiang turned to looks at his granddaughter, Jiang Ina.

" Come, Ina my child. Greets your fiance," He beckons her to come forward, to had a chat with Evan. The boy coughed at how embarrassing his situation right now. A faint blush crept from his neck up to his face, gaining laughter from the elders.

' Am I just been taken advantage off by an old man?' Evan lamented internally.
