The Candidates (1)

Princess Lingchen let out a small sigh as she watched her cousin who sat across her. Looking at Mingyue's face, she could detect her weariness. "What's wrong with you?"

Jiang Mingyue gave her a weak smile. "Third brother is causing a scene with Yang Yun again yesterday. I can feel a headache is coming."

The Princess laughed upon hearing this. It was not a strange thing to hear how Jiang Xiao Liang was picking a fight with Yang Yun. "This is the perks of having doting brothers. You should enjoy it."

"What's there to enjoy?" Mingyue groaned and rubbed her temple as thinking about her third brother action with Yang Yun.

The two of them would quarrel as children when they see each other. Years ago, before Mingyue started dating Yang Yun, her third brother did not act this way. He was somewhat close to Yang Yun. They would practice martial arts together under her elder brother instruction.

"Speaking of Yang Yun. I heard Yang Yun would return to report to camp next week," Princess Lingchen said. She picked up the pot on the table and poured hot water into the teapot and watched as the flower bloomed. She lifted her head and smiled when she saw Mingyue in a daze.

"You too think that he is recovering too fast, right?" Mingyue asked.

Princess Lingchen tilted her head sideways as she mulled over Mingyue's question. "What do you mean? Isn't that good news? After all, with maternal grandpa and your treatment and caring, isn't it natural that he recovered fast? Why does it sounds like you're complaining?"

"I thought he would have to stay home and rest for a few more weeks, but who knew his recovery is faster than any normal person." Mingyue shook her head.

The princess giggled at her answer. "Are you saying that you do not want him to recover faster?"

"I didn't mean it that way," Mingyue said. She lowered her gaze and tugged on her fingers. When she looked at her cousin again, there was a shy smile on her face. "I just didn't want him to return to the camp so soon."

Princess Lingchen watched her with an unreadable expression. Her lips curved up. It was apparent that Mingyue didn't want to part with her fiance.

"Don't laugh at me," Mingyue said when she noticed the smile on the princess's face. She tilted her gaze down to hide her face. She could feel that her face slowly heating up.

"I am not laughing at you," Princess Lingchen said. But her smile grew bigger.

Right now, there was nothing else she wanted to do but to pinch Mingyue's reddened cheek. She loved watching Mingyue getting embarrassed whenever she talked about Yang Yun. Maybe it's true what they say how a girl would look the cutest when she's in love.
