There's no advantage to participating in something where everyone thinks you have an advantage.

It devalues your win whilst inflating any potential loses. That's why a lot of professionals hate having to compete against children. They gain nothing from winning, but stand to lose a lot. At the same time, if you can't handle losing to a child, you're mentally not far from being one.
