Tóm tắt

Paradise ain't for the faint of heart. I grew up in these domes, stuck between the glassy dust on the ground and the dark oblivion of space. To get here, on the Moon, our parents gave up everything. Thing is, they had nothing on Earth either. Nothing to trade. They sold their futures, and ours, for a one-way shuttle trip. Let's just say the city's name oversold the promises. Who am I? Kate... some call me Pitbull. I shoot those bastards cold! 'M a corpo dog, a bounty hunter. Fetching folks across the yards for the masters holding the leash. Started this job for revenge, now...? Now 'm not so sure. 'M just trying to make rent, whatever the price. 'M not doing so gold lately. Need something to turn my luck 'round or I'll be slim enough to download... and that damned toaster-grade implant in my brain... y'know how they are. Anyway, I'm out! Dinner not gonna catch herself. Need to succeed or 'll have to go back to the Asstronaughty begging Cherry. Corpo Gods knows 'm not ready to see Mom.

Chapter 1Disclaimers

While this fiction contains forms of hate speech and bigotry I do not nor will ever endorse such behaviors in any shape or form. This is a fiction taking place in a dystopia and the disgusting rhetoric is purely characterization and not my personal philosophy. I was myself a victim of hate-crimes and will always do my best to fight against such damaging actions and ideas. Due to these hate-crimes and harassment, while young I developed complex PTSD, this book is partly a way for me to exorcise my own demons. Keep in mind that I might have long periods of inactivity as a writer due to crippling anxiety. I will do my best to give you what I can but I won't jeopardize my health just for your entertainment. I'm sorry this is the case but I can't write anything when I'm in bad shape anyway so... irregularity or abandonment of a 10 years+ project. Finally, I'm not a native English speaker as you'll figure out soon, I do my best, but I don't have money to get someone to edit this book. I can only count on you guys to raise red flags as you see them. Alright, I won't fuss anymore, I wish you good reading and a great fucking day (just kidding). Oh, right, forgot to say, for an easier read, only text between " " is said verbally, the rest is either narration or dialogue and thoughts exchanged between Kate and her brain implant.

Caring for Mr. Mutant

[COMPLETED] How can a Mutant and a Mutant Caretaker fight for their love, if science is their greatest enemy? ------------------------ Year 2023: Random DNA mutations suddenly occurred around the world. These mutations caused newborn babies to acquire animal traits, and no one knows why or where they originated. Year 2033: When funds, advanced technology, and a capable workforce became available to study these mutants, a national team of scientists was formed, called the "DNA Mutation Cadre" or "D.M. Cadre". They were given modern, state-of-the-art laboratories complete with equipment and isolation rooms. Here, mutants were studied and monitored in exchange for a large sum of money and government assistance. Year 2048: In the busy city of Makylee, a 25-year-old part-timer, Lia Brentvale, got fired from her two part-time jobs in just one unlucky day. Since her parents aren’t around, she’s the breadwinner of her family, providing for her two college brothers. She applied as a Mutant Caretaker in the D.M. Cadre Research Facility and after passing their exam, she was assigned to the mysterious and aloof vulture mutant. But as she got to know him, she also learned more about D.M. Cadre. Together with her hacker friend and their batchmates, they tried to uncover the deep secrets that lie within the research facility. ------------------------ PREVIEW: Aesop had always felt that being a mutant is a curse. But upon meeting Lia, he started accepting himself. Lia was always pointing out his strong points. She was always encouraging him to enhance his skills and discover his talents. She always tells him not to think of himself as a test subject just like how the scientists treat him. She reassured him that even though he's a mutant, he's not less than a person, so he shouldn't look down on himself. It was her uplifting words and her mere existence that gave color to his monochrome life. "Lia… I love you," Aesop uttered as his golden eyes stared through her deep blue eyes. "Ae, I… I love you, too," Lia then wrapped her arms around Aesop's neck, drawing in close to him. Aesop's hands slid down to Lia's lower back, and he embraced her. Their heartbeats quicken as their lips graze against each other. Lia thought it would be just a simple kiss, just like they had always done after their very first kiss, but she was wrong. Aesop's right hand suddenly caressed her back, then he placed it at the back of her head, pulling her to him with a little force. The vulture mutant's majestic wings enveloped them, and it was as if he was owning her. Aesop's wet tongue slid into her mouth, and it surprised her. She tried to resist, but with his hand at the back of her head, she couldn't get away from him. Eventually, she gave in to that passionate kiss... NOTE: Not a superhero story, but tackled more of science ethics and social issues ------------------------ UPDATE: Added CFMM Special - The Afterstory chapters after the Finale. Happy reading! ;) ------------------------ WEBNOVEL CONTENT EDITOR: Ms. Qianyu BOOK COVER by @omichiart on IG SPECIAL THANKS: tricks, Wang Cult, Aquila Official Instagram: @ainawang.official Official Discord: https://discord.gg/HYkU3Rr Patreon: https://www.patreon.com/ainawang

Apocalypse Days: I Rule with Foresight and a Powerful Son

You’d think seeing the future would give me a head start on surviving the apocalypse. I had it all planned—until everything I knew shattered when my husband sacrificed himself to save me and our son. Now it’s just me, my three-year-old son Leo, and my cursed gift of foresight that only seems to kick in when it’s nearly too late. I’m doing my best to keep us safe, to find food, to make some kind of plan— “Mommy?” I glance down, trying to ignore the tug on my pant leg as I focus on our supplies. “Not now, Leo. Mommy’s thinking.” “Mommy!” I sigh and finally look down. My three-year-old is standing there, clutching… I blink. “Leo, where did you get a knife?” He shrugs, grinning like it’s the most natural thing in the world. My heart stutters. “No, really. Where did you find that?” I try not to laugh. I mean, he’s three. Maybe he just—found it somewhere? But the next day, it’s a water bottle. Then, a tiny flashlight, somehow with batteries still inside. I don’t even know what else; he’s pulling things out one by one with the pleased grin of a kid who’s just figured out his favorite game. Well, we may just survive this mess after all. Now, if only the universe could have spared me from him. I don’t even know his name, but I know his type: tall, broad, and annoyingly handsome, with an air of calm control that’s out of place in this chaos. Ex-military, if I had to guess, with a voice that’s just as infuriating as his smirk. The man has a habit of showing up at the worst—or best—possible times, with a gun at the ready and secrets buried as deep as those bright green eyes. I mean, he’s probably useful, but I’m trying to keep my eyes on the prize here: survival. For Leo and me. Because, foresight or no foresight, nothing is guaranteed in this new world—except the fact that people like him are trouble.
