[Constructing Hall of Blood for Earth]

The abyss surrounding Alabaster began to fade as unearthly materials began to swim around him in a chaotic yet structured pattern, every collision formed a new piece in the moving puzzle that surrounded him, for a few short seconds definitive shapes began to form: arches made of wood stronger than steel, blocks made of translucent stone, roughly carved into shape; rivers made of a liquid so blue the ocean paled in comparison and ornate chains blacker and more suffocating than the abyss itself.

Eventually, the puzzle seemed to solve its self as a hall thirty or so metres tall and God knows how wide took over the all-consuming abyss. What now existed in the abyss' place was a magnificent palace; all around him were arches of varying size and material, the only common trait was the chains binding them. Except one. This arch was the most extraordinary of them, it spanned the entirety of the northern wall, or at least what Alabaster thought was north, it was coloured red, like blood, and filled with a liquid that was constantly warping: one second it would display a grassland, the next a battlefield littered with the corpses of creatures unknown.

The imagery was constantly changing, the only constant was the feeling it created in Alabaster, the emotion was a deep, ancestral instinct, one that made him feel as if the arch was calling to him.

*Klack Klack*

Alabaster began to walk forward along a path made of a myriad of shapes. The path leading to the arch.

*Klack Klack KLACK KLACK*

He suddenly broke into a sprint, a sprint that mustered every ounce of energy in his lithe body. Despite his body's obvious want to run toward the arch, his mind was not so fond of the idea, screaming at his body it bellowed, "No, NO! STOP RUNNING!". His instinct had told him two things: that the arch would make him stronger than ever, but he would suffer greatly to get it. This tore him greatly, one half, the half that controlled his body, told him to run, to become great, the other half protested, "what was greatness if he was dead?". But he kept running and running and in after a few long, arduous seconds he reached the arch that caused such dissonance within him.

He looked back around and stepped into the arch's embrace.

[Enter Bloodline Realm?]

The mechanical voice resounded in his head as the words "Yes" and "No" appeared, this time in the familiar English, in front of his eyes.

"I've come this far", Alabaster exclaimed with resolution in his movement as he moved his hand towards the panel displaying "Yes" which, to his surprise, seemed to be corporal.

[Entering Bloodline Realm]

With a final utterance from the mechanical voice in his head, a bright light blinded him, and a sharp pain racked every bit of blood in his body.

"Is this the end?", he thought as glazed expression paints its self on his pale face, "No, I still haven't truly lived.", a stanch look replaced the latter expression. Suddenly, the pain stopped, and colours began to return to the world. But he quickly realised that he was no longer encased in the arch's liquid nor was he in the Hall of Blood. Around him was a verdant valley of life, filled to the brim with bison like creatures coloured an earthen brown with tints of silver. On his chest still laid the blood-red crystal.

[Welcome, User #1, to the Bloodline Realm this plane is the sanctuary of all life and as such contains every bloodline that ever was and ever will be.]

[Your world, Earth, has been allowed to access this higher plane to elevate yourselves by the grace of the Gods!]

[You may use your Crystal to fuse the blood of higher creatures into your bloodline, but mind other Crystalbearers may seek the blood you obtain.]

[As the bearer of the Origin Crystal you have the right to choose a single High Bloodline to fuse with.]

[You may access your statistics, through commanding your Crystal]

"I didn't understand half of that but okay", Alabaster mumbled to himself. Eventually, he decided to pick up the crystal and firmly shouted at it, "Status"

[Name: Alabaster Thorne

Species: Homo Sapien, Unknown

Bloodline Traits:

-Adaptable: Humans are naturally adaptable, this has become a core part of their essence

Essence Rating: Stage F]

"What does this 'Unknown' mean?", asked Alabaster with a slight frown on his face, he wasn't fond of the word 'Unknown' it essentially screamed 'Peculiar'.

*Beep*

[It is a gathering of all trace bloodlines that are so weak that they have no effect or, put simply, useless bloodlines, due to this the system has designated these empty spots in your blood and will be the default option for replacement]

"I see", replied Alabaster with a relieved expression on his face, "And what did the system mean when it mentions that I was eligible for a High Bloodline"

[Bloodlines are classified in accordance to rank, High denotes the blood of a Lesser Demi-God or equal; examples include: Basilisks, Lesser Unicorns, Lesser Bicorns and Cockatrices]

"How can I claim this bloodline?" pried Alabaster, rubbing the light scruff on his chin.

[Ask and thou shall receive]

"Has your voice changed? You sound more feminine", Alabaster inquired, "Also give me blood"

[Host seemed uncomfortable with my previous choice of voice. The command for accessing Bloodlines and related subjects is "Blood Space" and, as with all commands, can be mentally ordered]

Alabaster stood up, a crystal in hand, hands clasped together and internally shouted, "Blood Space!", this was a bit of a dark memory for him. Suddenly, much to both his and the blue bisons surprise, a tide of crimson exploded from underneath him forming a spherical shell that was knitted tightly together like tendons in an athlete's muscle; Strangely, it wasn't pitch black inside but instead a dim red, seemingly illuminated purely by a two perfectly shaped orbs on his left and right that exuding a scarlet mist.

Despite, the orbs looking the same, they gave of differing feelings, the sphere to the left felt familiar, like an extension of his being, but the orb to his right felt dualistically distant, noble, cold like a monarch from times long passed, but also free, unfettered, like the winds.

[Welcome to the Blood Space]

"What exactly is the Blood Space, System", inquired Alabaster.

[The Blood Space is a gathering of all your Bloodlines and where you will strengthen your blood through fusion]

"And how do I fuse bloodlines?"

[Touch two or more Bloodlines]

"How do I know which is which?"

[The name, composition and a description will be displayed upon contact]

"Thank you, system", Alabaster outstretched his hand toward his left and made a connection with the more familiar orb.

[Thorne Family Bloodline

Composition: Homo Sapien

Description: A common family from the British Isles]

"Well you didn't need to be so mean about it, System", grumbled Alabaster, having read the description for his family, "Right what is this one", now outreaching his hand towards the cold orb to his right.

[Sovereign Wren Bloodline

Composition: Sovereign Wren 100%

Description: The Sovereign Wren was the first King of Birds, he ascended to his position through trickery and cunning, much to the eagle's displeasure, in an attempt to preserve his life, he learnt to shapeshift from one form to another, becoming a Demi-God in the process]

"Oh, come on, that little bird gets a whole introduction to its feats, but I get called 'common'!", Alabaster ranted.

[That 'little bird' could kill you without even lifting a talon]

"Humph, at least it shouldn't make me look like an idiot when I fuse with it", scoffed Alabaster, "Speaking of which", he then grasped both orbs and exclaimed "Fuse!"

[Fusing Sovereign Wren Bloodline with Thorne Family Bloodline]

"Argh", a debilitating flame had spread through his being, tearing, ripping and smashing together; the pain was severe, like being submerged in the Dead Sea after being tortured for days on end.

"Yes", spat Alabaster, struggling to stay on his feet.

[System strongly advises against Host's decision, Block?]

"No then", his muscles began to spasm.

The pain finally subsided as a set of brilliant azure wings shot out from his back as he fell to the bottom of the infinite blood space

Alabaster, awakening, looked at the changes to himself. Feathers, he was surrounded by illusory feathers that danced and refracted the scarlet light from the singular orb. He swivelled, catching a glimpse of his cerulean blue wings.

God, they were at least 9 meters long.

Alabaster panicked, willing his shapeshifting ability to activate. The wings began to dissipate, much to his relief.

Should i use Latin names for bloodlines or not? e.g. Homo Sapeins
