On the junk yard world of Sendaris VI, a cargo ship had just unloaded its most recent collecting of garbage from its home system. mega tons of various items, produce, vehicle wrecks, waste materials and much much more. all piled up into the sky on a giant rock plain. a box cracked open as it fell from the top of the mountain of junk until it slammed into the rocky ground. The crate spilled opened and out came. A tiny round AI Core... This is the story of this Core and its artificial inhabitant. Karl Markenfier. The creator of the Core AI system.

Sendaris was a star system in the inner region of the Royal Star Empire, it was accessed by three warp gates and any space traffic was mostly from one gate to another. The planets were left alone seeing as they were all very close to the Star Sendaris. The only traffic that did visit the planets were giant Junk carriers, that were capable of going into atmosphere and open up its gigantic holds on the bottom side of its extremely wide hull.
Letting loose mega tons of junk, trash, vehicles, waste material, even complete old buildings like skyscrapers were dumped here and a lot of other materials, that the hi tech society either had to easy of a way to make, or was simply to hard to break down for reuse.
On one of the larger opened plains on this world where several giant piles of trash, all laid out in a specific grid formation, someone had meticulously made sure to gather the piles of cargo in one spot until it was deemed to filled, before moving the next target over. Causing several piles of mountainous collections to form, when viewed from space it almost looked like a hexagonal shape, each hexagon having a small mountain worth of solid heavy metal materials, with scatterings of all kinds of discarded materials running down the side of it.
Junk Yard Planets were used to stockpile unwanted goods, but they also could be seen as a potential stockpile of materials in case of emergency. Though it did rarely happen, but one such occasion when a war required a lot more materials than could be provided, civilian sector was allowed access to reclaim materials and sell them back to the empire.
Almost on no other occasion was it allowed to set landfall onto these planets. But pirates, criminal elements and Junkers would try to utilize these planets for their own gains and dig through these mountains.
But soaring down through the sky with fire blasting out all around its edges was neither of these, This gargantuan of a ship was aiming straight for the plains with the multitudes of mountains cordoned of in their own hexagon.
This ship was mostly cargo hull and planetary thruster engines, it blasted down through the sky, a light shimmering field seemingly stopping any of the pressure blast from its reentry to effect the ship. It looked like this ship should never have been able to take off from anywhere due to its clumsy looking, flat design. Its was nearly 7 kilometers long, 3 kilometers wide and 500 meters tall. It had six giant bays sealed up on its belly. Each a 1000 meters across and on top of the hull was a sticking out a hundred meters tall single tower were the crew remained.
Its thrusters were sending out enormous amounts of energy, they where not rockets but instead seemed to send pulses of energy. Building up in ferocity as the thrusters themselves glowed fiery red from their heavy use.
The ship slowed down considerably as it neared the ground, hovering gently a 2 kilometers altitude making its way towards a spot inside the hexagon area. It lowered itself down towards ground until it was a mere 200 meters off the ground. For a while nothing happened.
But then around each edge of the six sealed of bays, small explosions happened and giant metal pins on all sides of the bays blasted their way out down towards the ground. The bays themselves suddenly began to crumble and fall out. All six bays were suddenly opened up pushing the metal plate that was the opening down with them. On top of these plates was a ungodly amount of junk, a cacophony of noises as the piles upon piles of junk clashing against each other, metal plates and girders, small buildings crushed and torn apart, old hulls of land vehicles and assorted variously sized containers all falling down towards the already in place junk piles.
If the sound of the falling junk was beyond deafening, the impact it had on the ground was much much worse. Shock waves spilled out over the plain hitting the nearby mountains of junk. The ship having stayed perfectly in place, now began to lift up again. Now with six giant empty square holes in it.
As it faded off into the clouds of gases and toxins that surrounded the planet, the cloud created down on the ground from the junk drop was settling down slowly, still sounds of metal and concrete crashing and smashing into each other could be heard as it rolled down the newly create heaps.
On such a heap was a old hover truck currently in tatters, damaged beyond repair it was spinning down a heap, after it suddenly burst out from a large container that was split open from its own fall.
The truck had occupants but they were all dead, blood smeared over the windows with telltale bullet holes across the main window. The truck kept on spinning down the heap until it got speared by a large girder and came to a sudden stop, its truck compartment burst open as crates of various sized equipment spilled down the heap continuing to fall, each of them settling in their own location as the smallest of the craters kept spinning and tumbling down the large pile.
It came crashing down into the valley between two of these mountains, right between the two hexagons. The simple looking, but sleek silver crate. Despite its heavy ordeal and amount of damage it had taken was still intact. The locking mechanism which was rather complex looking with a delicate keypad that was beyond broken seemed to be spitting out small jolts of electric surges. A Trap someone had planted on the lock if someone attempted to tamper with it was firing off, but no one to inflict its deadly payload onto.
The crate was covered in dust, settled there as the mountain above came to a quiet after a while of the materials finding their spot in the chaos. After several days of nothing happening. The crate suddenly hummed and clicked. The crate was lying on its side and the lid opened up and out came a shiny metal ball rolling out.
It was sleek in design, perfectly symmetrical with six closed shutter ports spread out on its edge. a small singular black shutter, was placed on a blue center line that ran across the spheres center. Suddenly the shutter opened up in a amazing speed showing a red glowing light that a small holographic tech looking stylish eye appeared from it.
From the small sphere came a loud mechanical but recognizable frantic panicky human voice.
"Aaaaaaaair!!!!!.....Gasp..Gasp ...Gasp."
The eye seemed to widen out in shock and pulse with each of the gasps the voice was making. The eye turned around looking left to right.
".....Where the hell am i!!!!?!"
