Trust

Liu Zilong followed his younger brother's movement until he ended the call.

Liu Zijian turned around and faced his older brother who was still wearing an expression showing his disbelief.

"I'm still your older brother, correct?" He said as the First Young Masrter Liu slowly walked towards Liu Zijian.

"And?" Liu Zijian answered and crossed his arms in front of him seemingly waiting for whatever his brother would say.

"Why do I feel Iike you're kind of reprimanding me? Isn't it supposed to be mom's job?"

"You're not envious?" He simply threw back a question.

"No..." As he was thinking what would be the appropriate words he should use to explain himself, he was abruptly cut.

"Then stop observing us." Liu Zijian simply answered. He was fully aware that during their breakfast his brother was looking at them. Although he could sense that there was kind of soft emotion emitting from his gaze and not something he should be worried about, he could not help but wonder what was his brother thinking.

"I was just a little curious and worried." He answered. It seemed that he could still not cope up with how fast his brother changed but he's glad with his development.

"Don't worry. I'm doing good." He abruptly answered in a gentle voice that carried an assurance tone reverberated around the room.

Liu Zilong let out a simple chuckle. How could he forget that his brother could be this direct and confident.

"I'm thankful for your advice, though not all were correct, they were useful." The younger Liu continued.

The older Liu son's smile widened and gently shook his head before he answered with a cheerful tone.

"My advice was just to give you an overview and maybe some 'suggestions'. The rest will be basically up to you."

"Indeed. Experience still is the best teacher." He said and his lips firmly formed a straight line before the corner curled up slightly. His eyes were undeniably became playful.

Liu Zilong laughed after he heard his brother's words and saw his one of a kind reaction. The younger Liu also released a subtle smile as his older brother's laugh was really contagious.

"Is it correct to assume you're happy now that you're married?" He asked after.

"You can say that." Liu Zijian answered before he fell into a deep thought.

"Bothered about something? You can ask me if it's about women, you know." Liu Zilong lightly said while one of his eyebrows moved elegantly up twice.

The Second Young Master Liu looked at his older brother seriously. He was thinking if he could really answer his question. Remembering how his advice 'helped' him, he slightly nodded several times before he uttered his words.

"How can I make her trust me?"

The question caught Liu Zilong off guard. It wasn't something he expected.

"Sister in law doesn't trust you?"

"Not fully like I expected her to." Liu Zijian answered. Until now there were still somethings she didn't tell him. It's been bothering him from time to time but he also didn't want to ask her to forcibly get a definite answer. He wanted her to voluntarily tell him everything what has been bothering her.

Based from his observation between his parents, they've been open about what's on their mind. It's clear that they both trust each other. But his wife seemed not interested in telling him anything pertaining to her life. There must be some problem somewhere that he might not be aware of.

"Little Zi, trust is something that's a little complicated to earn." Liu Zilong answered after quite sometime. This kind of issue wasn't something he's confident to discuss with. Although he had several relationships before, 'trust' was something he never wanted to earn from a woman.

It wasn't because he's scared but he's not into that level of seriousness, yet. He had to admit he enjoyed physical relationship with a woman and he's honest right from the start. If the woman would try to wrap him around her fingers and started to demand unreasonable things, he knew it's time to let that relationship go.

Being involved too emotionally with a woman for him was a kind of complication he didn't want to experience.

Thus this 'trust' issue his brother was asking him, seemed to be out of his capacity. Liu Zilong himself didn't even experience trusting a woman fully in his past relationships. He believed that trust should be both given and received. If he didn't give it, then he could safely assumed he also didn't receive it or to put it more correctly, he didn't want to receive it.

His relationships were totally different from his brother's.

"I think it's better to ask Dad about it." Liu Zilong continued. Both their father and his brother could be said in the same boat now - both are married.

"My opinion is, it varies from person to person. Maybe you can start by being truly honest to her as well? Like voicing out your thoughts or telling her about yourself?" He didn't know how much his younger brother told Han Meixiu about himself but based from his personality, he was thinking not so much.

"You can also wait for a little while and have faith in her that in time, she will be able to tell you all of her thoughts." He continued.

Liu Zijian normally wanted to say that he's been doing exactly the last suggestion his brother gave. But he had to admit that he's getting impatient. He wanted his marriage to be like their parents. He understood that they maybe different as they just got married and based from his brother, trust normally developed through time, he could only wait. Maybe his wife was the person who could trust someone fully after a long time. But really, he's a bit anxious with regard to this.

As for the part that he had to be honest as well, he never lied so it's also not the possible reason.

He's then left with telling more about himself. But what could he tell her?

He fell deeper into his own thoughts and didn't even notice the arrival of their father until Liu Zilong bumped his shoulder on to him.

"Little Zi has something personal to ask to you, Dad." Liu Zilong said afterwards.

Mr. Liu felt amused. It's pretty rare that his younger son would ask him something about personal matters.
