Natural... yet different!

Meanwhile, on the other end, a table that is faraway occupied Giselle, Lillian Grey, Anna, and Diego.

"I'm done." Giselle murmured under her breath.

Lillian Grey took a glimpse at her plate and found that Giselle only ate her peanut butter and jelly sandwich. The rest all kept as it is.

"That is not eating, eat the rest too," Lillian commented.

Giselle shook her head in denial.

Lillian Grey's eyes widened in displeasure. She looked at Giselle's plate and found the whole avocados and apple, untouched.

"Eat it." Lillian raised her voice and ordered.

Giselle shook her head, strongly objecting to finish the leftover.

"Eat it," Lillian repeated the words, enunciating every word.

Giselle's head froze at watching Lillian get serious.

"..."

"I- I don't like Avocados," Giselle stuttered, trying to escape.

"Oh, then it's okay. Here, have my sandwich, I'll finish yours."

Lillian stated, releasing her cold demeanor and swiftly did the transfer.

Lillian finished her lunch meal except for the sandwich. She was savoring it for the last. Seeing how little quantity Giselle ate and refusing to eat the rest, Lillian made the change.

Their plates switched within seconds, and Lillian started to eat the leftover Avocados. She picked out the apple and handed it over to Giselle.

"You like Apples, eat it," Lillian replied as she gently placed it on Giselle's plate and resumed eating.

Startled from her behavior, Giselle silently obeyed.

...

'Something smells different.' - Anna thought to herself while watching the two behave.

'I know she saved the sandwich for the last, but-'

'She gave it up for Giselle without any hesitation.'

'I mean, she would give it to me if I ask her-'

'No way, I would take it even without asking her-'

'So, it is normal?'

'Hmm...'

Giselle finished her sandwich and was eating the apple that Lillian shared. It was Giselle's apple, originally.

Anna watched Giselle struggling in the beginning. It appeared that she is full and cannot eat the apple anymore.

Seeing her struggle, Lillian Grey, once again, without hesitating, seized the apple from Giselle's hand and started eating it.

"..."

'W. H. A. T.' - Anna's mind went blank.

'What is happening?'

'Everything seems natural yet different.'

'Is it only in my eyes?'

'Am I the only one witnessing this?'

Anna's mind wrecked within with tons of questions.

'Lilly and Giselle has become closer and getting more personal.'

'Am I the only one thinking like this?'

'They are behaving like a couple!'

Anna panted mentally when Diego's voice broke in.

"Lilly, walk home together with me, today."

His words bought everyone's attention at the table. Giselle looked at him curiously while Lillian froze for a second and then quickly regained her composure.

"What's the occasion?" she asked.

Diego's brows raised in judgment as if Lillian is acting like she doesn't know the reason for Diego's request.

"Oh- Your mother invited me?" Lillian asked.

'Again?' she thought without spitting it out loud.

"Yes, she keeps on inviting you for the past two days, and you are avoiding her."

Those words arrested Lillian as she mentally struggled to respond.

'Ah, this guy.' - Anna noted to herself.

'This guy is also acting weird lately.'

'As if he is desperately trying to interrupt something from happening.'

"What is it?" Anna, without realizing, uttered those words out loud.

"Uh?"

"Uh?"

Lillian and Diego reacted uniformly while Giselle only looked at Anna.

Startled from her action, Anna put her head down and replied, "Nothing, I was thinking about something else."

Her plan worked as the others believed and averted their gazes from Anna.

'Thank god, I would have gotten into trouble if I said all those or any of it out loud.' - Anna sighed mutely.

"Your mother didn't invite me?" Anna asked, trying her best to hide her inner thoughts and conceal it.

Diego's reaction sold him out when Anna noted that he was only requesting for Lillian Grey and not her.

'Shit!'

"Anyways, I have something to take care of, Give my regards to Donna and Clemente, Ask them to invite me over sometimes too."

Anna dodged the question without letting Diego take control of it.

"I know Lilly is Donna's favorite but let me in fun too."

Anna expressed.

"It is because Donna likes to cook a lot of traditional dishes more often and you are not a big fan of it."

Lillian reasoned with Anna and explained it openly.

"I know, I know, she loves ancient cooking which is not my favorite zone. I like to taste it but not too much."

"Anyways, so are you going today?"

"Does that mean you both can't walk home together?"

Anna said and pointed out at Giselle and Lillian Grey.

Lillian Grey hesitated before answering.

Throughout the whole time, Diego's eyes never left Lillian and kept staring at her. At times, his gaze would fall upon Anna when she is talking and also on Giselle, just for a second though, before finally settling on Lillian Grey.

Lillian knew Diego's gaze pierce into her soul.

For the past two days, Diego continuously invited her after school, but Lillian smartly escaped. It is not because she hated the idea, but it is the only chance for her and Giselle to be alone and enjoy freely. Lillian Grey was solely not interested in missing it out.

Returning from the trip, her obsession over Giselle had only increased. She never let go of her inside the campus and also wished to walk home together every day.

It is not something huge to ask for, so Lillian thought she finally convinced Diego. However, she did not expect him to be stubborn and persistent in his request.

"I think you should go, Lillian."

"He is asking you for the third time. It is not good to disrespect the elders."

Giselle expressed.

Hearing those words which suddenly felt like a valid point for Lillian Grey, she didn't take any more time to ponder and nodded her head in agreement.

"O- Okay, I guess I will visit Donna tonight."

Lillian agreed.

Even if it was his request, her agreeing now did not please Diego. He felt as if he got defeated by Giselle.

Only after listening to Giselle, Lillian Grey accepted the invitation.

Diego didn't like it.

However, he did not expose his fury in public and only held it in.

"What time should I be there?" Lillian asks curiously.

Diego's eyes left Lillian after hearing her response but traveled back to its previous location after hearing the girl's voice again.

"Time?"

"You are coming with me after school, directly to my home."

"Mom asked me to pick up a few ingredients on our way back."

Diego's response saddened Lillian. She directly looked over at Giselle.

'We won't be going home together.' - Lillian's eyes spoke.

"It will be fun," Giselle responded.

Her eyes seem to give Lillian strength.

Giselle glanced at Lillian and slightly bowed in assurance.

'I'll be fine by myself.' - Giselle replied with her gaze to Lillian.

"Yes, it will be fun."

Lillian stated as if she agreed to Diego after knowing that Giselle would be alright and that she is not upset.

Diego's face only lit up after hearing Lillian's response. He hid his smile and quietly returned to finish his lunch.

'What the hell is going on here?' - Anna remarked from the scene that just took place.

'These three are something else; they are thoroughly normal yet seem strange to me.'

Anna questioned their actions silently.
