Flying Fortress

--- Rodrick's Home, IronSpark Center

While Rodrick and his agents were rushing back to IronSpark. Jay regained consciousness and wondered how much time have passed.

"I guess Rodrick was the one who dragged me here." Jay thought to himself as he got up from the queen-sized bed he was lying at.

Just as he was about to leave the room, he did not notice that Jin was actually watching him.

"Oh? Finally awake?"

"Jin?"

"So, what happened to you? You had been sleeping for three hours." Jin showed his watch to Jay and tapped his shoulder.

"If I told you I still have my abilities from the game, would you believe me?"

"Perhaps. Come on, let's get some drinks while we talk about this." Jin said as he led Jay outside of the bedroom and the two of them returned to the living room of Rodrick's house.

...

"So, do you really still have your abilities?" Jin asked as he snapped his fingers, causing random bottles of beverages to appear at the coffee table again.

"Kind of." Jay said as he grabbed a bottle of water and drank some of it.

Before Jin could even speak up, his phone suddenly rang and he had no choice but to answer it.

"Sir Rodrick, may I know how I can be of service?"

Jay couldn't hear what the caller was saying, but he was pretty sure it was Rodrick since Jin already said so.

After a few minutes, the call ended and Jin had a serious expression on his face. He even took off his black shades and sighed.

"Jay, mind helping me out?" Jin said as he looked at Jay seriously.

"Sure. What's up?"

"Please stay here and keep watch over Cidney. I have to help some guys run our flying fortress system." Not even waiting for Jay's reply, Jin left in a hurry.

"Flying fortress?" Jay wondered to himself. Since there was nothing else to do, he decided to try out if his abilities from Hellson's Dimension was still really working.

'Touch of Blizzard'

On Jay's right palm, a small snowstorm formed and slowly covered his entire right hand.

"It actually works..." Jay quickly deactivated the spell and decided to just lie down on the sofa, waiting for what happens next.

--- Control Room, IronSpark Center

"Is everything good to go?"

"Sir Hank, what about the adventurers still on duty?"

"Who cares about them. Boss told us to prepare for launch."

"Flying Fortress is operational. We are currently waiting for Sir Rodrick before liftoff."

The control room was currently crowded with people. There were a few men in black, some scientists, and a lot of mechanics and technicians. The reason why they were all here was to activate IronSpark's Flying Fortress mode.

Just from its name alone, it is pretty obvious in what it does, which is to turn the entire IronSpark Center into a flying fortress.

...

--- Entrance, IronSpark Center

"Boss! Won't this cause the adventurers to have a great enmity with us?" One of Rodrick's agents asked as they rushed through the entrance.

"Screw them! Instead of asking me politely why I called of the Vineyard Operation, they dared to shout at me in disdain. Fucking scrubs." Rodrick said while feeling frustrated over this.

Just a few months earlier, when everyone pushed him to build IronSpark, he and the adventurers treated each other like family. They fought monsters side by side, saved each other's backs a couple of times, and even partied together when the night was long.

But just because of that whisper he heard, when he tried to save everyone's asses, they dared to forget all of those good memories just because of some loot.

"Why wasn't it the idiots that died during the Cataclysm. I bet there are also plenty of idiots in the Alliance, just like these adventurers." Rodrick thought to himself and gestured everyone to proceed with the Flying Fortress mode.

...

--- Sector III, Iron Domain

While the adventurers were still busy cutting the plants produced by the Vineyard, the ground started to rumble and everyone heard a loud noise.

After a few minutes, it stopped and everyone was wondering what it was. They did not know that it was caused by the flying fortress since they were too busy looking at the plants and thinking about what they will do with the loot they had.

...

Beside the gigantic purple bulb, while every other adventurer was busy with what they were doing, there were two guys in front of it.

One of them was a man in black who had spiky brown hair. The other guy was wearing a soldier's uniform and had an afro cut.

"I wonder where we are right now?" The man in black said as he gently slid his hands on the purple bulb.

"Annoying dimensional gates. How many did we destroy so far?" The afro haired guy asked as he took out an army knife from his pocket.

"Five."

"Just five?!! You got to be fucking kidding me... aren't there a million or something?"

"Did you think we would be able to shut them down with just our group? That's just wishful thinking on your part." The man in black sighed and wondered where he was right now. It looked like a city covered in vines.

"Hey, look at that!" The afro haired guy suddenly shouted as he pointed at a tiny island looking thing at the skies. It was just the IronSpark Flying Fortress but these two did not know of this obviously.

"Looks like we went into a technological dimension this time..."

"Robots again... goddamn..."

"Want to check that place out after we cut off this purple bulb?"

The afro haired guy suddenly stabbed the purple bulb using his army knife. But surprisingly, the purple bulb suddenly hardened and his stab did not do anything.

"Stop playing around LJ." The man in black said as he took out a cigarette and started smoking.

"Fine." LJ, the afro haired guy, suddenly became serious and his muscles started to bulge. The moment he stabbed the purple bulb using his knife, due to the abnormal increase in his strength, the purple bulb got pierced right in the middle.

"A core-type monster." LJ mumbled softly as he used his free hand and plunged it inside of the purple bulb. After a split second, he grabbed something inside the purple bulb and removed it. The moment he did so, the purple bulb started to wither together with the rest of the plants.

"Let's go Jay." LJ said as he tossed a small green stone to the man in black. After that, they suddenly jumped into the air and freely flied in the air. Their destination this time was IronSpark Center.

...

The adventurers that were still hanging out in Sector III were shocked when the plants they were cutting suddenly withered for some reason. While all of them were wondering what happened, and while some of them started cursing, a skinny guy wearing some casual clothes watched them from the corner.

The skinny guy was taller than the average person and was also observing the withered plants as he watched the adventurers prattle around.

"Is this why Rodrick stopped the operation? I knew I shouldn't have come. What a waste of time..."

As he left, he played with a golden coin with an S engraved on it. These kind of golden coins were only given to S Rank adventurers, and this guy was obviously one of them.
