Sacred Song Isles

A day later...

Everyone was doing their own thing. Some were eating and drinking at the guild hall's hub center, some were enjoying the sights, some were busy somewhere in one of the rooms in the guild hall, and some were just peacefully sleeping somewhere.

...

Near the gigantic treant, Fraxinus...

"Boar, Chicken Lord, I'll leave things here for you guys to handle." Jay said while he looked at Roasted Boar and the Chicken Lord who was in front of him.

"Don't worry. Just go and do what you have to do." Roasted Boar replied before walking away.

"I've got this. I just need to train everyone right?" The Chicken Lord said and tapped Jay on his shoulder.

"Come on. Let's go." Izumi suddenly appeared beside Jay and opened a teleportation gate beside her.

...

--- Sacred Song Isles

The Sacred Song Isles was known to most of the people as the Fatelords' Headquarters. The continent is divided into 5 islands of varying sizes.

These five islands are controlled by five different kingdoms; the Sunshine Kingdom, Abyssal Kingdom, Starlight Kingdom, Crystal Kingdom, and the Golden Kingdom.

These kingdoms are controlled by the five strongest Fatelords in existence. But due to some events during the past few months, the Golden Kingdom fell into the hands of the planar invaders from the Darkonia Plane.

...

--- Sunshine Kingdom, Sunbright City

The place where Jay and Izumi were at right now was the Sunshine Kingdom, to be more precise, the capital city of the Sunshine Kingdom, Sunbright City.

The population count of the city was only around 100,000, where most of the citizens have a power rating of around the 7th-9th tier. There are even some of them that are Half-Divines.

The establishments in the city were mostly made out of white marble and some shiny glass-like materials. The city was surrounded by a thick and large wall made of the same material. There were also four different mage towers around the city.

...

"Woah. I never been to this place before. Hellson never placed this in 'Dungeons and Towers of Fate.'" Jay thought to himself. The moment he did, Hellson suddenly spoke to him.

"Nope. I actually added it. But on the game, you had to become a Divine Being before unlocking the Sacred Song Isles area and unlock a hidden quest to finish the game. Too bad no one found out about it though... I even spent a single night creating some ending scenes for the game..."

"Oh..." Jay sighed when he heard Hellson say that.

"What are you sighing for? You nervous?" Izumi suddenly spoke up and placed her arm around Jay's back.

"Come on. We don't have all day." Izumi said as she led Jay towards the castle at the northern area of the city.

...

After some walking, the two of them reached the Sunbright Castle.

It just looked like an ordinary castle that was made out of the same materials as the other establishments in the city.

There was also two large banners hung on each side of the castle's front wall. The banner had the symbol of the sun and a letter F on top of it.

The moment Jay and Izumi was about to step in the castle, a deep and majestic voice spoke to them.

"Izumi. Hurry up. All of us are waiting at the 'Ascension Temple.'"

"Hey, what's this Ascension temple thingy all about?" Jay asked hurriedly but Izumi just shushed him.

"Screw it. Let's skip the walking then." Izumi said and teleported herself and Jay towards this Ascension Temple somewhere inside the castle.

...

--- Ascension Temple

The place just looked like a cave with a perfect dome shape. The walls were painted in gray and on the ceilings were some blue colored crystals that provided light.

There were benches carved along the sides of the cave, and on the center was some kind of circular stone.

This circular stone had runic patterns all over it, and on its sides, some kind of spring water flowed out of it. It can even be mistaken for a fountain if not for the runic patterns on it.

...

Currently, there were 55 people gathered here, with Izumi and Jay included. All of them were in white hooded robes with golden trims on it. They were all currently gathered in a circle and had their hands at their backs.

"Izumi, put on your robes. Chicken Hero, please sit on top of the ascension stone at the center." One of the white robed people said and gestured the two to proceed.

After a few seconds, when Izumi was already in her white robes and joined the others. As for Jay, he did what he was told.

"Chicken Hero, close your eyes so you may proceed with the ascension process." The same guy spoke up and said this to Jay.

"Umm... okay..." Jay was not sure how he should ask everyone about what this is all about to he just did what that guy told him.

The moment he closed his eyes, the people around him started chanting in an ancient language and the spring water around the stone Jay was sitting on started to rise.

...

--- An unknown place...

"Huh? What the hell..."

Jay was currently in a grassy plains. The skies had a black and violet color. Besides Jay, nothing else is present.

"My gaming instincts are telling me two things about this place. The first thing is that this is some kind of illusion spell I need to break. The second thing is that I need to trigger some kind of event here."

After thinking of this, Jay looked around and after walking a few steps, he found a scroll. So he opened it and read it.

~~~ Tattered Scroll
Keep fighting until you cannot continue. Every skill and spell you know of will not work in this trial. You will have to rely on Fate.
~~~

"Okay..." Jay thought to himself before the scroll suddenly disintegrated. Then suddenly, he felt his body getting heavier, as if the gravity of the place keeps on increasing at a certain rate.

"Just what is this..." Jay did not even finish his this line of thought before some kind of hands suddenly came out of the ground and pulled him.

"Die..." A ghastly voice shouted while the hands kept pulling Jay down to the ground.

'Ethereal Body!'

The moment Jay used the skill... "Oh sh*t! I forgot that my skills and spells won't work."

Since this was the case, Jay tried to look around him to see if there is something he can use. His body's lower half was already stuck on the ground before he saw three different items around him.

A silver dagger, an iron rod, and a chicken.

"Screw it. If the title given to me is 'Chicken Hero' then I suppose this chicken will do something good." Jay thought to himself and took a great risk.

He could have used the dagger to slice of the hands grabbing him. He could have used the iron rod as a support while he pull himself out of the ground.

So grabbing the chicken was pretty risky. But Jay did so anyways. The moment he did, the chicken suddenly panicked and flapped its wings, attempting to escape from Jay's grasp.

"Just what am I doing..." Jay sighed as he thought of this. Just as he was about to get dragged deeper on the ground, the chicken miraculously pulled him out as he continued to hold it.

...

--- Ascension Temple

"He actually passed the first trial without getting advice from any of us..." Izumi said softly while all of them watched Jay through a large crystal ball on the ceiling.

"Pay up Goldwisp." One of the men in white robes said happily as he reached out his hands.

"Ugh... (The f*ck is wrong with this boy? He actually picked up the chicken...)" One of them sighed and took out a small wooden chest.

"Just wait for it... he will screw up on one of the 4 remaining trials... I bet he will get crushed at the second trial."

...

--- Unknown place

"What now?"

The moment Jay was pulled off the ground by the chicken, he suddenly got teleported into another place. It was an arena.

He was half naked wit only a piece of cloth wrapped around his lower body. He had an iron ball chained on his two feet. And in front of him was a minotaur wielding two battleaxes.

"I guess I need to defeat that with me in this condition..." Jay thought to himself and tried to move. But the iron balls were just too heavy and the chains were a bit short that made it even harder to move.

"Damn it."

Just as Jay was wondering what he should do, the minotaur charged towards him and jumped high into the air.

"Wait... if I'm in another place, then will my skills work?" Jay thought to himself and tried using Ethereal Body. Sadly though, it still did not work.

Before Jay could even do anything else, the minotaur crashed down on the ground and its battleaxes reduced him to nothing but meat paste.

...

--- Ascension Temple

The moment Jay opened his eyes...

"Did you enjoy your Fatelord Ascension?" Someone said as everyone removed their hoods.

"I guess so..." Jay said and thought "If getting killed by a minotaur is enjoyable to you, then fine!"

"You can get off the ascension stone now." After Izumi said this, everyone suddenly vanished from the room. Leaving her, Jay, and an old man with long white hair.

After Jay left the ascension stone he was sitting on, he was immediately approached by the old man.

"Chicken Hero. My name is Stromm, the Fatelord of Storms, and also the chief-in-command of all of the Fatelords." After introducing himself, Stromm gave Jay a token shaped like a sun with the letter F on it.

"This is your Fatelord Emblem. If you want to talk to any of us in the future, just use this. Izumi, you can go back now."

...

After Izumi left...

"Chief Stromm, why do I feel as if nothing really changed?" Jay asked but Stromm spoke up again and gestured him to follow while they take a walk.

"Before I start teaching you how to utilize Fate Particles and your Fatelord Powers, let us first go back to my place. Shevitte might get mad at me again if I use her castle grounds." Stromm said while they kept walking.

A few minutes later, he and Jay reached the front door of the castle and left.

...

"Chief Stromm..." Jay was about to ask something again but he was silenced by Stromm.

"Lord Stromm. When I hear the word 'chief,' it feels too formal. Lord Stromm is better." After saying this, Stromm suddenly took out a bluish monster essence from his spatial storage and summoned some kind of blue dragon.

"Hop on. We're leaving."
