Eventually, Claire's emotional outburst receded.

It was because she fainted, causing Davis to instantly carry her to her chambers while the others followed suit. However, she woke up before getting to her chamber and smiled lovingly at Davis. Her expression was full of relief.

Upon entering her chamber, he placed her on the bed.

"Mother, you're always careless. Take some rest."

He berated her, causing Claire to giggle lightly. She longed for this kind of situation where her son was there to reel her in. She wondered what she was going to do without him as she had the tendency to act out of place and trouble someone dear to her.

"How is your father? Is he safe?"

Claire bit her lips, appearing regretful, "I made your father sacrifice himself to save you without consideration to others. How evil of me…"

"I told you to stop thinking about it."
