Later that day Ori finally woke up and he was slightly surprised to see he was outdoors on a handcrafted bed, lying beside him was Roman who was still unconscious. He quickly got up to check Roman's injuries when he heard his uncle Walter's voice.

"He's fine, he's just recovering now. He should wake up within the next day or so."

Ori sighed in relief as he looked over at his uncle. His uncle was stood leaning lazily against a tree stump with his eyes closed.

"We heard about the trouble you two brats caused on Notice Island!"

Orion took a deep breath as he braced himself for the scolding he was to receive.

Walter was slightly amused by Orion's reaction knowing what was going through his head. He through the paper and the wanted posters on the bed for him to look at.

As Ori saw them he was shocked by what he saw.

[According to this, Mihawk was the one who saved us before aunty Gaia came.

Wait… Does that mean Mihawk's dad's mystery disciple?! Dad's mystery disciple is the future "world's strongest swordsman"? Awesome!

Huh, wait, what?! Aunty Gaia killed an Admiral?! I knew she was strong but this…

Akainu took the place of the dead Admiral and Z just resigned with Aokiji taking his place? That must mean his family were just murdered.

Wow, look at these wanted posters… Aunty Gaia's £10 billion? Why's Mihawk's even higher, it's equal to uncle Roger's… There's definitely a story there!

As Ori was looking through the paper and bounties he heard his uncle's voice.

"Do you regret any of your decisions?"

Orion was startled by the question, as he was expecting the scolding of a life time. He thought back to everything that happened and shook his head with absolute certainty!

Walter turned to face Ori with a warm smile as he said.

"Good. That's all we can ask of you, to live your life with no regrets!"

Orion smiled back before he closed his eyes and lay back on the bed checking the extent of his injuries.

[I'm healing well considering the severity of my injuries. Ooh, I somehow managed to break through to the D Rank after that fight!

At the rate I'm healing, I should be able to start light training again in about a week and make a full recovery after 2.]

As he was checking his injuries his uncle spoke once more.

"Your little friend is still here, she's been waiting for you to wake up. You should go and speak to her now that you're awake"

Ori used his haki to find her and when he did he was slightly surprised to feel her reply in kind when she felt his.

[Well that's new!]

Walter knew he would be slightly surprised by that and explained.

"Mihawk took her on as his disciple and taught her how to use haki!"

[Disciple, but Mihawk uses a sword…]

Despite his surprise he didn't say anything he got up and walked towards Shaya who was making her way to him.

When she saw him, Shaya frowned as she said.

"Shouldn't you still be resting? You were hurt badly!"

Ori stretched his body as he replied.

"I'm ok to walk around now. By the way after the battle with Vergo I saw you trying to protect us from the other marines… Thank you!"

Shaya shook her head as she said.

"I should be the one thanking you guys, you saved my life and then endangered yourselves to help me achieve my father's request."

Ori smiled as he said.

"So I take it you no longer feel indebted to the Kuja Warriors anymore?"

"No, after Hancock and her sisters left with aunty Gaia I paid my family's debt back in full!"

"Haha good! Ooh yeah I heard Mihawk took you as his disciple? That's awesome, how did you manage that?!"

Shaya smiled excitedly as she replied.

"Master's father was an archer and said that my talent's are perfect to pick up his mantle and achieve what he never got the chance to."

Hearing that, Orion felt curious.

"Ooh and what's that?"

Shaya's excitement reached it's peak as she said.

"To become an Archery Saint!"

Orion was slightly surprised but then he became excited as he said.

"Join my crew!"

Shaya was startled by his outburst.

"Your crew?"

"Yeah, I'm going to be the next King of the Pirates and having a future Archery Saint as my crew's sniper, I can't think of anything better!"

"Pirate King?!"

"Yeah, so far it's just me and Rome but I'm going to gather the greatest Nakama around and together we'll conquer the seas."

Due to her past, Shaya had a pretty good understanding about what it meant to be the king of the pirates.

And even though it was coming from the mouth of a prepubescent child younger than her, she felt a strong conviction behind his words.

She wanted to say that she'd join but she didn't know how he'd react when he found out about her past. She was nervous about telling him the truth, but she decided to trust him.

His wife and my mother was a woman named Lily! She was an archaeologist from Ohara who specialised in reading the ponegylphs, which depicted the happenings behind the void century!

Together they aimed to spread the truth of the void century and because of their work my parents were killed. They could've gotten away if they were alone, but they had to use their strength to protect me.

After they died I was quickly branded a slave under the control of the nobles, you know what happened next.

Before you ask me to join your crew, you should know that O'Hara was massacred for their ability to read the ponegylphs. If you ask me to join your crew, the world government will hunt you for preserving a surviving member of O'Hara."

Orion was slightly surprised as after being reborn into the world and reading current affairs he knew who Monkey D. Kernel was.

He was the man who started the Revolutionaries alongside his younger brother; Monkey D. Dragon!

[So she's Luffy's cousin but died before the start of the story. I'm guessing Garp didn't know about what happened to this granddaughter of his after his son was killed.]

As he was thinking Shaya thought he was trying to come up with a way out without hurting her feelings.

"You don't have to say anything. I can't expect you to want a ticking time bomb like me in your crew."

Ori woke up when he heard her.

"Sorry, I was just surprised. But if you're a bomb because of your bloodline, than Roman and I are nukes!"

Shaya looked at him not understanding what he meant.

Just as he was considering if he should explain or not as it was part of his families biggest secret, Walter appeared behind him continuing where he left off.

"Roman's full name is Gol D. Roman, nephew of Gol D. Roger and son of the Joyous Spear King and the Joyous Warlord.

Ori's full name is Portgas D. Orion, nephew of Roger's wife Rouge and son of the Joyous Sword King and Mary Geoise's "fallen angel".

So you don't have to worry about them not accepting you because of your bloodline because their's are just as terrifying if not worse."

Now it was Shaya's turned to be shocked speechless. Her parents had taught her a lot about current affairs, so she knew a bit regarding the Joyous Pirates and why they went into hiding over the last decade or so.

Orion's voice brought her back from her daze.

"So how about it, want to be the newest member of the Heavenly Demon Pirates?!"

When she heard Orion asking again despite knowing the truth about her past she couldn't help but tear up.

It was the first time since her parents died that she felt like she actually belonged!
