Grandfather's Training! Saving Darren Leonidus

I woke up this morning, something didn't feel right. I walked out to my balcony and smelled the air. It was bright and sunny, but the air smelled of death. Nothing around the dorms was missing neither was anyone hurt, so why would I be feeling like this? I didn't even bother to notice that there was smoke far the distance.

"Huh? I guess something's on fire." I muttered as I walked back into my room.

Hatsume told me she could adjust my hero suit so I could bring my Nichirin Blade with me. I still don't understand how that training was preparing me for something, but I didn't question it. Anything new I can learn can most definitely help me out in the long run! I walked downstairs with my sword and got to the dorm doors.

"I'm going to Hatsume's Workshop to pick up my hero costume. I'll be back!" I told everyone.

I walked outside and headed towards U.A. As I walking, I could've sworn someone was following me. I entered U.A. and walked into Hatsume's Workshop.

"Heya! I just finished adding a loop you can hang your sword on!" Hatsume held up my hero suit.

"Alright! Thank you so much, Hatsume!" I exclaimed.

Hatsume nodded, "No problem!"

I left with the sword finally able to be held onto my suit. As soon as I got to the dorms, Deku and everyone else burst out wearing their hero suits. Deku looked distraught and angry. I could also see a bit of sorrow on his face.

"What's going on?" I questioned them.

Deku, with tears in his eyes, told me, "They've killed him."

That smell of death I was smelling, I didn't understand it at first, but now I do. I was shocked, I knew what was going on just by looking at everyone's faces.

I clenched my sword's hilt, "Let's finish this, once and for all!"

[30 Minutes Later...]

Traveling by boat to some maximum security prison wasn't exactly what I thought I'd be doing today, but here we are. I couldn't believe everything that I was seeing in the distance. The smell of death and despair grew stronger and we got closer and closer. We were nearing this maximum-security prison called, "Tartarus." It's where they held the villains with extremely powerful Quirks. Smoke surrounded the prison and the surrounding areas were on fire, blue fire, to be specific. I noticed various guards and officers frozen in place. They've done it, they've broke out!

"Everyone, stay together." Iida whispered.

We tried to see what was going on, but the smoke was so thick, we couldn't see what was going on. Heroes were strewn about; I saw Annie lying on the ground! I moved and so did Deku, what did he see? I rushed towards Annie; she was still breathing! I quickly healed her, she slowly regained consciousness and opened her eyes.

"A-Alyx...?" She muttered.

"It's alright! I'm here, what happened?" I asked.

Annie mustered the strength she had and pointed up, "T-Them..."

I turned around and saw... Him.

"Ah, it's been a while, hasn't it?" All For One smiled.

I stood up and saw the rest of the newly banded League walk and stand next to him. Where was Deku?

"You goddamn bastard... I'm not gonna let you have your way! I'm ending this right now!" I shouted.

I charged up to Mode Three and flew towards All For One. I threw a punch at him but Muscular caught it.

"Not so fast there, wannabe. If you wanna get to him-" Muscular smirked.

He threw me back down to the ground.

"-You gotta start off small, first!" Muscular shouted.

There was a loud boom to my right. I looked over, and standing there with the mangled body of a police officer, was a huge hulking Nomu!

"Well, there you are, Darren... Go on, crush them." All For One muttered.

"F-Father?!" I shouted.

The Nomu lunged at me, I felt Tsu's tongue wrap around my waist and pull me away from the Nomu.

"T-Thanks!" I smiled at Tsuyu.

I got up, this Nomu was insane, I haven't even actually fought him yet but I could tell he was strong! If it is my father, then we're in for one hell of a fight!

"BOOST FIRE!!" I shouted.

I couldn't waste any time with this! Kirishima and I charged into battle! We side step one of his swings and let loose a barrage of punches. But it didn't seem to hurt him! I threw Kirishima backwards as the Nomu swung again and hit me full force! I went flying into a destroyed building. Which I quickly burst out of wielding my sword! I couldn't use any of my breathing techniques while I'm using both Boost Fire and Mode Three, so I'll just have to make due for now! Everyone was taking shots and the Nomu! Shoji managed to wrap one of his appendages around the Nomu's throat and started to suffocate him!

"I need a clear shot to his head! Uraraka, can you do that? " I shouted as I hacked off the Nomu's arm.

"I can try!" She replied.

Uraraka, Momo, and Mina started creating a diversion to distract the Nomu while the rest of us took him on! Bakugo blasted the Nomu in the face, which stunned him! I zoomed in and stabbed the Nomu right in the stomach!

"WOOOOOAAAAAHHHH!!!!" I roared as I pulled the sword upward, splitting the Nomu in half!

It slowly regenerated and so did its arm! We stepped back as the Nomu roared at us. Deku fired off a Delaware Smash straight into its face. I felt a presence behind me, I turned around and there stood my Great Grandpa with his hand on my shoulder, looking at my father.

"Let's go, Alyx! Follow my movements!" He exclaimed.

We charged towards the Nomu, I stopped using my Quirk. I was using my Water Breathing to hack and slash at the Nomu, just like how Grandpa was doing! He jumped into the air, which took me a second to do as the Nomu threw something at me! I dodged it and jumped into the air.

"ALYX!!" I heard Momo shout.

I looked behind me and saw that the Nomu threw sharp metal girders at me! I... I was gonna die! I...

*THIRD PERSON*

[Flashback]

"Alyx, isn't that incredible?" Marie asked.

Alyx looked up at his Mother riddled with confusion, "Mommy, what's Papa doing? He does this every year."

"It's called a 'Kagura Dance' Alyx, it helps ward of injuries and disasters. Now, watch and be quiet, we wouldn't want to disrupt Papa!" Annie replied.

[Several Days Later...]

Leonidus was sitting in front of his Father and Mother, both of whom watched as he imitated the dances his Father did the nights prior.

"Hey, you're getting the hang of it, maybe I should let you do the dance from now on!" Darren chuckled.

"Ooo! Really? That'd be awesome!" Alyx beamed.

Leonidus continued to imitate his Father's dance as Annie & Kariya watched. Marie leaned her head on Darren's shoulder.

Marie looked up and smiled, "There's no doubt in my mind, from what you've told me, Darren. If he really is related to him, he'll achieve great things when he's older. They all will."

"Mm, I know they all will. No matter what happens to them, I'm sure they'll be fine." He smiled back.

[Present Day]

Leonidus' flashback sparked something new, he took a deep breath in as he furrowed his eyebrows.

"𝘏𝘪𝘯𝘰𝘬𝘢𝘮𝘪 𝘒𝘢𝘨𝘶𝘳𝘢... 𝘋𝘢𝘯𝘤𝘦!" Leonidus yelled.

His sword became engulfed in bright flames as he slashed through the two steel girders! Leonidus landed back down on the ground and rushed towards the Nomu.

"𝘒𝘦𝘦𝘱 𝘳𝘶𝘯𝘯𝘪𝘯𝘨, 𝘥𝘰𝘯'𝘵 𝘺𝘰𝘶 𝘥𝘢𝘳𝘦 𝘴𝘵𝘰𝘱! 𝘠𝘰𝘶 𝘩𝘢𝘷𝘦 𝘱𝘦𝘰𝘱𝘭𝘦 𝘵𝘰 𝘱𝘳𝘰𝘵𝘦𝘤𝘵 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘪𝘧 𝘺𝘰𝘶 𝘧𝘢𝘭𝘭 𝘩𝘦𝘳𝘦... 𝘠𝘰𝘶 𝘸𝘰𝘯'𝘵 𝘣𝘦 𝘢𝘣𝘭𝘦 𝘵𝘰 𝘬𝘦𝘦𝘱 𝘺𝘰𝘶𝘳 𝘱𝘳𝘰𝘮𝘪𝘴𝘦𝘴 𝘵𝘰 𝘵𝘩𝘦𝘮!" He thought to himself.

"EEEEEYYEEAAHHHH!!!" Alyx roared as he charged forward.

He slashed at the Nomu who was dodging each strike, Leonidus eventually slashed at it's stomach, sending blazing flames across it's body. Alyx and the Nomu flew across the battle field with amazing speed, Yaoyorozu looked at the others and noticed that he was trying to go for the Nomu's head!

"Everyone, with me! We need to make an opening for Leonidus!" She called out.

They all rushed towards the Nomu and Leonidus, Sero and Izuku took off from the rest of the group. A slew of tape and Blackwhip wrapped around the Nomu's body. Shinso shot out his Capture Weapon as Sato and Kirishima grabbed the Nomu's legs. A white line appeared in Leonidus' eyes, he quickly stepped forward, dragging his left foot on the ground.

"I'll save you from this hell, Father!" Alyx shouted.

He took his broken sword and slammed it against his Nomufied Father's neck, bright flames lit up the sword as he cut cleanly through it's neck, a circle of fire surrounded the Nomu and Leonidus.

*LEONIDUS' P.O.V.*

He slumped to the ground and his head rolled off of his shoulders. I collapsed to the ground, sword in hand. Shinso and Ojiro helped me stand. I honestly couldn't move at all, not to mention it felt like my lungs were on fire! Hopefully, my Father rests easy again. The Nomu slowly deteriorated and its ashes flew into the sky. I could still smell death in the air, I turned around and saw Deku on his knees looking at something. I slowly made my way towards him.

"Deku, what...?" I stopped.

He didn't answer me as he was crying without making a sound. All Might... He was... I felt myself start to tear up as I knelt down beside him.

"Y-You can't bring him back... C-Can you?" Deku wept.

I shook my head. I didn't know what to say. Bakugo and Uraraka made their way towards us.

"Oh my God..." Uraraka muttered.

They both sat down next to us, and Uraraka was hugging Deku. Everyone else gathered around us, and we sat there in silence. Endeavor and Mr. Aizawa came up to us and sat there in silence as well.

"Deku," I broke the silence, "We're ending this. No matter the cost."

I didn't look at him, but I could tell he was looking at me. I felt the frustration build inside of me, but I didn't want to lash out. I needed to be strong, All Might wouldn't want us arguing or fighting with each other. I wanted to blame Endeavor and the Pros for letting this happen, but they couldn't control the future. None of us knew that this would've happened. They did it... They killed the Symbol of Peace. I stood up, and so did the others. We turned around and faced Mr. Aizawa and Endeavor. We stood there in silence, there wasn't much to discuss, we all were thinking the exact same thing.

[The Next Day...]

News spread of All Might's passing, the entire country was in mourning. Memorials were made all around the city, I couldn't imagine how Deku was feeling. I decided to head to his room. I went downstairs to the 2nd floor and found Deku's room. I knocked on his door and waited. I sat there for a bit, then I opened the door to his room. He was sitting in front of his computer, watching a video of All Might saving a group of people. He kept repeating the video over and over again. I closed his door; he didn't move his head to look towards me. I pulled up a chair and sat down next to him, I looked at the screen then at him. His eyes were baggy and red, he must've been crying all night. He finally looked down at me, I've never seen such a look of despair and hopelessness on someone's face before.

"Will it ever end, Alyx?" Deku asked me.

I could tell it was rhetorical, so I didn't say anything. I wasn't sure if anything I could tell him would make him feel better.

"I promise you, Deku," I put my hand on his shoulder, "We'll bring them to justice."

Deku let off a tiny smile, then turned off his computer. He sighed and got up from his chair. He gestured for me to follow him and I did. We took a walk outside and into the city. The streets were filled with nothing but All Might. Signs, banners, decorations, and even cars! We stopped in front of a store where they were selling holographic cards with a chance to get an All Might one.

"This was where Kacchan and I got the same holographic card. I honestly didn't think that it would ever happen, but Kacchan was always determined on getting one." Deku told me.

We went inside the shop and we bought one for the both of us. We stumbled across Bakugo who was in the shop buying one as well! All three of us walked outside. We opened the packages, Deku and Bakugo got All Might! I got Mt. Lady.

"Looks like we've still got it, eh?" Bakugo smiled at Deku.

I smiled; I couldn't help but feel happy to see these two actually being cordial. They have been for quite a while, ever since Jaku City. All three of us walked together, it was rather warm out for a fall day, but the wind was still pretty cold! We walked through an overpass tunnel towards some spot with a few cherry blossom trees.

"This was where All Might saved me from that sludge villain, the one that attacked you, Kacchan. You see that building all the way down there?" Deku pointed towards a building.

"Yeah, that's an old apartment complex, why?" Bakugo replied.

"That's where I first saw him outside of his Muscle Quirk. I'm pretty sure you know the rest." Deku told him.

We started walking again, he stopped in front of Aldera Junior High.

"This is the place; this was where it all started. Hard to believe it it's almost been 5 years since we've been here." Deku stated.

"Yeah, it is. Do you still have that journal?" Bakugo questioned.

Deku smiled and nodded at him.

"Damn, you really are the biggest nerd I know." Bakugo laughed.

"Hey! What do you say we take a picture in front of U.A.?" I asked them.

They both nodded and agreed. We walked back to the entrance of U.A. It took quite a while since we were all the way into the city. After almost 20 minutes of walking, we arrived back at U.A. We stood in front of the U.A. sign, I pulled out my phone.

"Hey! Wait for us!" We heard Uraraka shout.

I turned and saw Uraraka, Momo, Kirishima, Kaminari, Mina, Jiro, and Shoto! They joined in with our picture, Uraraka used her Quirk to suspend my phone in the air. We smiled and posed, my phone took the picture and Uraraka released my phone.

"Not too bad, I looked pretty good!" Kaminari commented on the picture.

We laughed, but then I noticed a particular face in the crowd, or well, two faces. My Great Grandfather had his hand on my shoulder and was smiling, Aunt Nezuko was standing next to Momo and was smiling too. I smiled, that feeling of sadness was uplifted after we reminisced on the past. The picture we took proved to help out as well! For just a brief moment, we all forgot that we were in an inescapable war of good and evil. We all walked back to the dorms, but I stopped outside of the dorms with Momo.

"Oh? Is something wrong, darling?" Momo asked me.

I looked her in the eyes, "Whatever happens, you guys are my first priority."

I looked in the window and saw that Kirishima was making lunch for us and everyone was sitting at the table talking among each other.

"If things get dangerous, we need to retreat. I don't want any of you getting hurt, not again." I told her.

"You know, I believe my parents were right about that." Momo said to herself.

"Hm? Right about what?" I questioned.

Momo smiled back at me, "Well, it's something I've been meaning to ask you. If we do find All For One & the League, and if we make it out alive..."

"This might be a little early to ask, but... Would you be with me, no matter how difficult things get, or how long we live?" Momo asked me.

I felt like I was center stage in one of those romance novels Momo reads. I smiled back at her.

"If that's what I think it means, then I'd love to!" I agreed.

Kirishima burst through the dorm doors, "GUYS! FIRE IN KITCHEN!"

"FIRE IN KITCHEN?!" I shouted back.

Momo looked over it already, and I rushed in, Shoto was trying to contain the fire, but there was only so much he could do.

"OOOOH NOOO!!!" I yelled.

I activated my Quirk and shielded the area that was on fire. The fire immediately extinguished.

"That was quick." Shoto noted.

It seems like we'll be ordering takeout from somewhere, again, wonderful.
