OK, so I know he went through a trauma and that’s why his dharma changed but at the same time he’s been essentially cutting firewood every day for like 80 years so for him to awaken a tree would’ve been just as likely as him awakening an ax and let’s be honest here when your soul weapon is a magical tree that’s gonna be more deadly when it’s the size of a ancient red oak then an ax is gonna be especially if the ax doesn’t grow with him when he gets to be giant sized when he’s full grown.
