I didnt expect to like this novel so much, at first i thought it would be the typical martial arts novel with the basic tropes, but i was pleasantly surprised. The plot flows well without copious amounts of filler and the MC advances slowly, fighting above his level and fleeing worst case; relying on strong allies and good fortune rather than deus ex machina. i also appreciate the female characters for having distinct personalities and storylines and the author for not making a series of villainous young masters or tournaments for the MC to fight.
