Honestly, I'm a beginner too, my advice should be considered more like that of a classmate rather than a real author. First of all, I'm like you, I really wanted to write books but I didn't really know how to start, so to practice and see if I really liked writing I decided to write several fanfictions to train my writing on an already existing framework. I think you could also start with a little Fanfic or a short story to practice. Then, it's rather basic but rereading after a few hours without having to think about the books allows you to correct and change a lot of things, especially at the beginning. And finally I try to always make my characters do an action during explanation scenes or dialogues. I don't know if these tips can help you but I hope so, it's been a month since I wrote almost every day for my two fanfics and I think I've really progressed so the best advice I can give you is to start writing directly.
