You know those super awkward MCs written by white people? The type that constantly asks himself questions inside his own head or even out loud talks to himself? Take that MC and add a portion of depression and a hint of virtue signaling and you will get the MC of this story. In the beginning you won't really notice but as the story goes on it becomes very annoying.

ถูกใจI don't watch kids shows and In death note they aren't talking to themselves. The story doesn't go: "Hi, Yagami Light here, today I found a death note and I wonder should I use it? I am kind of worried though, what if I am found out?" Instead its more like "3 weeks ago I found a curious book and I did this, this and this with it!" and "I will have to do some further testing to see how far its power reach." NOT "I think I should do a little test today to see how powerful the death note really is. But is this really moral? Also I wonder what I should get for breakfast and maybe I should talk to that girl at school? I have so many plans, but should I do any of them?" Garbage thoughts instead of narrating while doing.
Arigo101:Excuse me. I mis clicked. That isn't their only goal as unbelievable it may sound to you two things can be true at once and they are narrating though inner monologues helping us the viewer to better understand their characters' thought process and psychology and see how they are geniuses that rival each other. Narration is very broad and in simple terms an explanation to what's happening in the story thus it can be done in any way by anyone in or outside the story whether that be through inner monologues between the main pro and antagonist or someone random such as a generic man with a deep voice narrating in a kids show like Curious George.
CarlosDr3vna:White people??? I'm half Mexican, half Hispanic. Also not sure what the race of the author has to do with writing a story.
But you were wrong. I'm not white. Also, dug through your comments. You seem to have a hatred towards Indians and have a habit of bringing race into matters that don't entail it. A racist pretty much.Ergo, this will probably be my last comment to you since I don't argue with illogical people. Apologies that you didn't enjoy the novel. I hope you find a better read elsewhere.
InternetSaint:I call it as I see it.

he's not really saying you're white, he's saying your story feels like those written by white people.

I'm not trying to defend anything, but why's this racism but when someone badmouths chinese for their low quality novels everyone just agrees?

It's impressive how the 3k moments in your feed consist of unpleasant comments and 1-star reviews, I don't understand how there are such unhappy people, you hate your life so much that you feel the need to do less to other people. Another thing I noticed is that despite being so critical you don't have a story of your own, ironic.
