Dropped chapter 5. Couldn't cope with the mc find him too annoying. Classic clueless cowardly mc who is meant to grow strong but I can't but hope he gets eaten. This is only due to my taste. Writing is decent, idea is good worth a read just not for me

It's a difficult situation. Authors tend to start with the lowest they can so when he growth it looks better, rather than average and grow from there. For the most part, even if the MC improves to baseline human level, if it is a struggle to read to that chapter it doesn't matter much. Granted, chapter 7 is not far but I somehow doubt it will just stop at that point (without some system gamer mind or something equally drastic). Also, this is webnovel, know your audience, like gender bender there are some things that just do not go well in this site. In some other sites its less of an issue. I say this because I too dropped novels I thought were great, near perfect if not for the MC. The moment I constantly think about "I hope he dies" I know its not for me.
