The overall writing is pretty good however I believe the plotline is pretty common nowadays, not that it's a bad thing, it's just that so far whatever I've read so far seems pretty predictable and it kinda kills my motivation to read any further since fantasy novels like these are need to be very interesting and unique right? There were certain things such as emerald pupil and palpating heart, which has really been used a lot to describe Alexis. And besides it's not the pupil that's coloured, it's the iris. The world and the character's way of thinking have been described very good and you can easily follow up to writer's line since the vocabulary is so simple and perfect.

Thanks for the review, I'll try use all the information you brought up and improve using the points about descriptions. His iris and sclera are black, the pupils are a green when I edit the first chapters again I'll look into improvements in descriptions! During the first chapters I had a very vague visual idea of Alexis which has solidified over time. As for the story it's not quite started yet its still a prologue. But it was always suppose to be cliché. Once again thanks for the review I will take everything into consideration and try to improve for future readers.
Ah yes that's exactly what I was saying. In eye, iris is the coloured region while pupil is always black since it's actually a hole through which light enters. But anyway since it's a fantasy novel ig anything is possible 🤩 so please ignore this comment afterwards.
