I have read up to the most current chapters, the beginning is extremely long and drawn out as others have posted. Others have said that him ending up being Nephis' slave was a bad arc ending but I don't believe so. Sunny does end up experiencing character growth after that though. I cant say this story is for everyone but it really only picks up after chapter 300-350 aka after the first nightmare.

No problem, I already read past chapter 530 but maybe somebody thought he was going to be an independent shadow(I hoped for that.). Anyways for me it's not such a big spoiler but maybe it is for someone else. I also know it's a bit hard to point something out in the story without spoiling it.
