Review Detail of David_Neilsen in Exploring During Wartime: The Unknown

The author does a nice job of setting up their world by showing rather than telling. It is a fun world of magic and mayhem, and yet it doesn't feel overly-cliche. There is a slight steampunk vibe as well, which adds to the enjoyment. Overall, this is a good start.
