i tried reading but could not get past the first 10 chapters. Story itself is good, but bad English ruins experience. I could barely get into the story, every other paragraph, i had to re-read a sentence and correct it in my mind to make sense of it. Tenses are all over the places, sentence structures feel unnatural and painful to read.

Same lol. Idk why I'm so out of luck lately, any novel I pick up turns out to have a grammar issue as bad as this one. Would it kill these authors to at least use some Grammarly? In the first place, how could someone mix up the grammar tenses so badly when their vocabulary seems fine.? To make it worse, even the story wasn't good for me. I guess not many here agree but I can't really connect to stories with evil MC.
He's not evil. Ruthless yes but certainly not evil. Where did you get the impression Want Wei is evil?

It's been months since I read this so I don't remember the details. But I'm pretty sure at some point MC killed THOUSANDS of innocent people (to improve his cultivation or something along those lines, as I remember).

Yea I mean you're not wrong. But I think evil is more going out of your way to cause chaos and suffering for no other reason than because you want to. In this case he only did it because it helped him become stronger. So yea I think he is absolutely ruthless and not a good person but also at the same time not actually evil. I dunno it's just my opinion.
